• Incorrect new Uri(base, relative) behaviour in .NET

  When you create a new Uri like this: New Uri(New Uri("http://example.com/test.php"),"?x=y") it returns: http://example.com/?x=y It was supposed to return: http://example.com/test.php?x=y according to the every major browser out there (I'm not quite sure what RFC says though). Is this is a bug or is there any other function out there which behaves correctly, also what's the best way to fix it without reinventing the wheel?

• Parameters not being passed into template when using the .Net transform classes

  I am using the .Net XslCompiledTranform to run some simple XSLT (see below for a simplified example). The example XSLT is meant to do simply show the value of the parameter that is passed in to the template. The output is what I expect it to be (i.e. <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA>valueA</valueOfParamA> </result> when I use Saxon 9.0, but when I use XslCompiledTransform (XslTransform) in .net I get <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA></valueOfParamA> </result> The problem is that that the parameter value of paramA is not being passed into the template when I use the .Net classes. I completely stumped as to why. when I step through in Visual Studio, the debugger says that the template will be called with paramA='valueA' but when execution switches to the template the value of paramA is blank. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Is this a bug in the MS implementation or (more likely) am I doing something that is forbidden in XSLT? Any help greatly appreciated. • ASP.NET 4 UpdatePanel and IIS7 Problem

  I have an ASP.NET 4 webpage that contains an update panel which just allows me to add a few items to a drop down list without reloading the entire page. The page works fine on the Visual Studio 2010 ASP.NET Development Server, performs the Async call and the page is properly laid out. However, when I deploy the page to IIS7, the Async call no longer works (the page is completely reloaded) and the layout of some items on the page is incorrect. I used Fiddler to look at what's happening and it looks like there are 404's when the page tries to access ScriptResource.axd, with everything else working correctly. I think that has to do with the Javascript required for the call but I'm not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions?

• umbraco front end site stopped working suddenly

  Hi All, I created one webapplication and placed the default.aspx page in the root folder of the umbraco (i.e., httpdocs folder) and the application dll into the bin folder. I used the name “Default.aspx” as the other names are not working. Now the issue is all the pages are redirecting to the default.aspx page (I haven’t made any config changes anywhere in the umbraco setup) I found this root cause and removed the default.aspx page and its respective dll from the bin folder. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. But I'm not clear what exactly to do?   I have heard a lot about version control and would like to work on it. I read some tutorials about the same. However i am not quite sure how svn works with xampp. I have installed svn, Tortoise svn and made the necessary changes in xampp. For instance i copied the two required modules to c:/xampp/apache/modules and also made changes to the conf file in apache. Here are the changes made in c:/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf. # Configure Subversion repository <Location /svn> DAV svn SVNPath “C:\svn” AuthType Basic AuthName “Subversion repository” AuthUserFile “c:\svn_conf\passwd” Require valid-user </Location>t I created the repository at c:/svn and also created the password file. • Making pygtksourceview work in windows

  So, I'm trying to get gtksourceview python bindings work under windows (I'm developing a cross platform gtk application that shows code, so gtksourceview seemed like a natural choice). I have pygtk installed and working (I followed the instructions in http://www.pygtk.org/downloads.html) I tried the instructions in http://projects.gnome.org/gtksourceview/ for gtksourceview. Here is what I did: Downloaded and extracted the latest gtksourceview window binaries from: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/gtksourceview/2.10/gtksourceview-2.10.0.zip The website said gtksourceview needs libxml, so I downloaded and extracted the latest libxml window binaries from: http://xmlsoft.org/sources/win32/libxml2-2.7.6.win32.zip Added the folders containing dll files to the PATH (in my computer they were c:\opt\gtksourceview\bin; C:\opt\libxml2-2.7.6.win32\bin) Installed pygtksourceview with the windows installer: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/pygtksourceview/2.10/pygtksourceview-2.10.0.win32-py2.6.exe Renamed the file libxml2.dll to libxml2-2.dll (after running depends on the gtksourceview dll) Now, the gtksouceview widget seems to work, until I'm trying to set the code's language. When I do that python crashes. I can't seem to work out how to get m2eclipse to see the snapshot and offer it as an option in the Add Dependencies search panel. How do I do that? Thanks! The following projects I noticed so far, but they all seem to have their problems: - http://farmcode.org/page/Sodality.aspx (looks most promising so far, however it requires you to create a whole new class for every AOP "call" I believe, and it forces you to follow quite a lot of restrictions, anyone has experience with it? - http://code.google.com/p/loom-as3/ (this one is discontinued) - http://code.google.com/p/floxy/ (dynamic proxy generation? this isn't really AOP as I know it, right?) - http://code.google.com/p/flemit/ (dynamic byte code generation? this is something AOP needs I think, but not the full featured AOP framework I am looking for) Does anyone know of a better solution? • Flex 4 front end connecting to Java Jersey Web Service

  I created a Java REST service using Jersey. I use three of the HTTP "verbs" GET, POST and DELETE. I want to create several prototype front ends for the service. After much research, a lot dating to 2008 and 2009, I have been unable to find anything remotely simple. My three options are: 1) resthttpservice. This project hasn't been updated in a year. The only activity are one off suggestions that individual users have implemented. http://code.google.com/p/resthttpservice/ 2) Create an AIR application. This isn't unfeasible. 3) Writing my own socket level code but there is a security restriction with flash players and I need to implement a policy server. I have already read the question posted about asking whether using Flex for REST services were worth it. That information is old as well. I want to introduce REST services to my company but Flex's limited support for HTTP PUT and DELETE are discouraging. My service also uses the Accept header to determine if JSON or XML will be returned to the client. I can't seem to change HTTP headers without doing socket programming. I'm fine with that but the security policy thing is annoying. Is there an easy way to use Flex 4 with RESTful services that uses PUT/DELETE and the Accept HTTP header? Please help. I'm very frustrated.

• Huge amount of time sending data with suds and proxy

  Hi everyone, I have the following code to send data through a proxy using suds: import suds t = suds.transport.http.HttpTransport() proxy = urllib2.ProxyHandler({'http': 'http://192.168.3.217:3128'}) opener = urllib2.build_opener(proxy) t.urlopener = opener ws = suds.client.Client('http://xxxxxxx/web.asmx?WSDL', transport=t) req = ws.factory.create('ActionRequest.request') req.SerialNumber = 'asdf' req.HostName = 'hola' res = ws.service.ActionRequest(req) I don't know why, but it can be sending data above 2 or 3 minutes, or even more and it raises a "Gateway timeout" exception sometimes. If I don't use the proxy, the amount of time used is above 2 seconds or less. Here is the SOAP reply: (ActionResponse){ Id = None Action = "Action.None" Objects = "" } The proxy is running right with other requests through urllib2, or using normal web browsers like firefox. Does anyone have any idea what's happening here with suds? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

• Will the URL /nosuchpage get routed via my ASP.NET MVC application?

  [I'm trying to figure out the reason why I'm having another problem, and this question is part of the puzzle.] I have an MVC 2 website that has routing set up so that URLs such as /Customer/23/Order/47 get handled by various controllers. I do not have a rule that would match, for example, /nosuchpage and in my Cassini environment a request for that URL will trigger my Application_Error code, which lets me log the error and show a friendly response. However, when I deployed this website on IIS7 using integrated mode, my Application_Error is not triggered, and IIS shows its own 404 message. No matter what I've tried, I can't get Application_Error to fire. Now I'm thinking: is the reason it doesn't fire because the request is not getting routed via my application?   I have a URL which can be any of the following formats: http://example.com https://example.com http://example.com/foo http://example.com/foo/bar www.example.com example.com foo.example.com www.foo.example.com foo.bar.example.com http://foo.bar.example.com/foo/bar example.net/foo/bar Essentially, I need to be able to match any normal URL. How can I extract example.com (or .net, whatever the tld happens to be. I need this to work with any TLD.) from all of these via a single regex? This is in PHP. Thanks for the help!
