• Android ndk-build command does nothing

  I have a similar question to that posted here: Android NDK: why ndk-build doesn't generate .so file and a new libs folder in Eclipse? ...though I am running Windows 7, not Mac os. Essentially the ndk-build command is run, gives no error but doesn't create an .so file (also, since I'm on windows this should create a .dll and not an .so?). I tried running the command from the root, jni, src folders etc. but got the same result; cmd just returns to the prompter after a few seconds. I ran it again from the jni folder with NDK_LOG=1 parameter to see what was happening. Here is a portion of the transcript of the log results after running ndk-build in the jni folder (after it successfully identified the platform, etc.)... • HtmlForm.Action and .Net Framework 2.0/3.5 Query

  Disappointingly, the members page for HtmlForm 2.0 is missing... My research seems to indicate that HtmlForm.Action is a property that was added in .Net Framework 3.5. However, I'm using VS2005 and my reference to System.Web (the namespace HtmlForm is under) is to a .Net Framework 2.0 runtime version. Further, my IIS status information also indicates I am using .Net Framework 2.0, when I force an error on my local IIS and read it. Despite this, I am able to use form1.Action successfully...but only on my local IIS. When I try it on vms and external servers, I get [MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'System.String System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlForm.get_Action()'.] errors. So, my question: 1) Why does it work on my local IIS? Does the fact that I have the 3.5 framework installed make a difference, here? 2) Why does it not work on other IIS? (I think this is because it's not part of .Net 2.0). I guess I just figure that if something is running on .Net Framework 2.0, the presence of 3.5 should not make a difference. Or maybe there's some other cause for these results.

  Hi, I'm using the Boxy jQuery plugin to open dialog windows and populating it through ajax. http://onehackoranother.com/projects/jquery/boxy/ Here's my code so far: $("a.create").click(function (e) { url = $(e.target).attr('href'); Boxy.load(url, {title:'Test'}); }); This opens up a dialog alright. However, if I click the link again, another dialog will open. How can I make it such that the previously opened Boxy dialog will come into focus? I only want one instance of this dialog. I tried assigning a variable to var ele = Boxy.load(); but the variable ele returns undefined... Alas, I can't make out much from the limited Boxy documentation available. Enabling the option modal: true would prevent the user from clicking on the link multiple times, but I don't want the overlay to show. Thanks for any light you can shed on this. -Lyon

  I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the binding in Flex. I'm using Cairngorm framework. I have the following component with code like: [Bindable] var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); .... <s:DataGroup dataProvider="{_model.friendsSearchResults}" includeIn="find" itemRenderer="com.lal.renderers.SingleFriendDisplayRenderer"> <s:layout> <s:TileLayout orientation="columns" requestedColumnCount="2" /> </s:layout> </s:DataGroup> in the model locator: [Bindable] public var friendsSearchResults:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); Inside the item renderer there is a button that calls a command and inside the command results there is a line like this: model.friendsSearchResults = friendsSearchResults; Putting break points and stepping through the code I confirmed that this like gets called and the friendsSearchResults gets updated. To my understanding if I update a bindable variable it should automatically re-render the s:DataGroup which has a dataProvider of that variable.

• dumping the source code for an anonymous function

  I'm working with a lot of anonymous functions, ie functions declared as part of a dictionary, aka "methods". It's getting pretty painful to debug, because I can't tell what function the errors are happening in. Vim's backtraces look like this: Error detected while processing function NamedFunction..2111..2105: line 1: E730: using List as a String This trace shows that the error occurred in the third level down the stack, on the first line of anonymous function #2105. IE NamedFunction called anonymous function #2111, which called anonymous function #2105. NamedFunction is one declared through the normal function NamedFunction() ... endfunction syntax; the others were declared using code like function dict.func() ... endfunction. So obviously I'd like to find out which function has number 2105. Assuming that it's still in scope, it's possible to find out what Dictionary entry references it by dumping all of the dictionary variables that might contain that reference. This is sort of awkward and it's difficult to be systematic about it, though I guess I could code up a function to search through all of the loaded dictionaries for a reference to that function, watching out for circular references. Although to be really thorough, it would have to search not only script-local and global dictionaries, but buffer-local dictionaries as well; is there a way to access another buffer's local variables? Anyway I'm wondering if it's possible to dump the source code for the anonymous function instead. This would be a lot easier and probably more reliable.

• StreamReader.ReadToEnd() returning an empty string

  I have a method private static String DecompressAndDecode(byte[] data) { GZipStream decompressor = new GZipStream(new MemoryStream(data), CompressionMode.Decompress); StreamReader decompressed = new StreamReader(decompressor, Encoding.UTF8); String result = decompressed.ReadToEnd(); return result; } I have some GZipped text as input and the result is supposed to be a String representation of this text. The problem is that the method returns an empty string. What is puzzling me is that when I step trough the method in debug mode and reach the return statement the result variable is an empty string but if I create a watch for the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression it returns me the text. What I would expect at this point is the result variable to contain the text and the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression evaluating to an empty string. (Reevaluating the decompressed.ReadToEnd() expression returns an empty string as expected). There must be something obvious I'm missing here.

  I want to search a table in editing mode, but when I type a letter the variable tableView.editing is changed to NO. And when I cancel the search, the tableView.editing return to YES. I'd like to retain the editing YES in the result of the search. I put breakpoint in several methods. • AjaxControlToolkit TabContainer with weird rendering behavior

  I've built a web application that contains a page that uses the AjaxControlToolkit's TabContainer/TabPanel objects. I've developed a custom stylesheet, as well. I'm developing using Visual Studio 2010. The following is the behavior of my application: VS2010 Development Server (localhost:XXXXX): Works as expected with the custom stylesheet. Local IIS: The TabContainer rendered but the stylesheet wasn't applied. I fixed this by doing a CTRL+F5. It seems that IIS caches stylesheets pretty aggressively. Remote Server: The TabContainer and TabPanel are completely hidden. Looking at the HTML, all of them have their visibility set to hidden. The way I got my files onto my remote server were as follows (I haven't yet set up WebDAV or remote publishing because the server is a Windows 7 box and as far as I am aware does not support FrontPage Extensions): The entire solution is under source code control (SVN). Checked in all pending changes (including projects, aspx files, css, AjaxControlToolkit binaries) Synced on the server. Rebuilt everything on server. Deployed to local IIS on server (which is externally accessible). Both on the local IIS on the server and the development server on the server, the TabContainers are completely hidden. Looking at the SVN status on the server project, only the "AjaxControlToolkit.dll" is under source-code control. All the locale-specific DLLs are not on the server. Could this be a potential issue? I'm not sure what's going on and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

  Hi, I develop an asp.net web application and I use ASP.NET membership provider. The application uses the membership schema and all required objects inside main application database However, during development I have to switch to various databases, for different development and testing scenarios. For this I have an external connection strings section file and also an external appsettings section, which allow me to not change main web.config but switch the db easily, by changing setting only in appsettings section. My files are as below: <connectionStrings configSource="connections.config"> </connectionStrings> <appSettings file="local.config"> .... ConnectionStrings looks as usual: <connectionStrings> <add name="MyDB1" connectionString="..." ... /> <add name="MyDB2" connectionString="..." ... /> .... </connectionStrings> And local.config as below <appSettings> <add key="ConnectionString" value="MyDB2" /> My code takes into account to use this connection string But membership settings in web.config contains the connection string name directly into the setting, like <add name="MembershipProvider" connectionStringName="MyDB2" ...> .... <add name="RoleProvider" connectionStringName="MyDB2" ...> Because of this, every time I have to edit them too to use the new db. Is there any way to config membership provider to use an appsetting to select db connection for membership db? Or to "redirect" it to read connection setting from somewhere else? Or at least to have this in some external file (like local.config) Maybe is some easy way to wrap asp.net membership provider intio my own provider which will just read connection string from where I want and pass it to original membership provider, and then just delegate the whole membership functionality to asp.net membership provider.   Is it possible to integrate Cppcheck with Emacs in a more sophisticated way than simply calling the shell command on the current buffer? I would like Emacs to be able to parse Cppcheck's messages and treat them as messages from a compiler (similar to how compile works), such as using C-x ` to visit the targets of Cppcheck's messages. Why I get error message in the first case? Why Ruby decide to convert scene.number from String to Integer? And one additional question about the 'inject' method. When Ruby initialize the 'new_hash' variable and how can Ruby know the type of this variable?

  I'm having trouble running a full trust WPF 4 XBAP (browser application), created with Visual Studio 2010, from my intranet. I do not get a ClickOnce elevation prompt, as described in ScottGu's post on WPF 4: Full Trust XBAP Deployment Starting in WPF 4, the ClickOnce elevation prompt is also enabled for XAML Browser Applications (XBAPs) in Intranet and Trusted Zones, making it easier to deploy full-trust XBAPs. For XBAPs that require security permissions greater than the minimum code access security (CAS) permission grantset of the Intranet and Trusted Zones, the user will be able to click 'Run' on the ClickOnce elevation prompt when they navigate to the XBAP to allow the XBAP to run with the requested permissions. Instead, I get the "Trust Not Granted" message. I'm running the application in two ways; in both cases, I get the "Trust Not Granted" message. First, I'm launching the application by double-clicking on the xbap file from my NAS on the local network. Secondly, I'm also trying to launch the application when it is hosted on a website via IIS from the same machine. Are both of these scenarios considered to be run from an "intranet?" Or does "intranet" mean some in particular here? Or am I doing something completely wrong? Of note, I am able to launch the application without problem when I simply double-click the xbap from my local computer. The xbap in question was created specifically to test the ClickOnce elevation prompt. It was created with Visual Studio 2010 as a WPF Browser Application. The only change I made was to change this to a full trust application (My Project Security tab This is a full trust application). In the publish wizard, I am choosing the following: Where do you want to publish the application? - I chose to publish to a local directory How will user install the application? - I chose "From a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM" Will the application be available offline - All choices were grayed out

• Heroku Rails Internal Server Error

  Hello. I got a 500 Internal Sever error when I try to deploy my rails app on heroku. It works fine on my local machine, so i'm not sure what's wrong here. Seems to be something with the "sessions" on the home controller.   Hello, I'm trying to convert some c code to assmebly, and I need some help. char encode(char plain){ __asm{ mov eax, plain add eax, 2 ret } //C code /* char code; code = plain+2; return code;*/ } First problem is that visual studio complains that the register size doesn't match, i.e. eax is too small/large for char. I was under the impression that they were both DWORDs. Also, if I leave the variable in eax, and ret in assembly, it'll actually return that variable, right?

  I have a "global variable" XML schema in TIBCO BusinessWorks. It's simpler than it looks - basically just a single repeatable node. Image: Tibco globals. (old URL redacted) Various processes in the system can update this list. Checking to see if they are listed is easy: $GetVariable/subscriber-list/subscriber = $_processContext/ns:ProcessContext/ProcessId Adding themselves to the list is pretty easy too, using a Set Variable activity (see bottom half of image) But how can a process remove itself from the list? I'm sure there's a type of mapping I can use to filter out the node I want and let the rest through?

• msysgit bash shell- how to troubleshoot "cannot find command"

  I need help getting git extensions to run with msysgit. I have had bad luck with extensions git-tfs and git-fetchall, in both cases it is the same problem. The addon will require a file to be placed where git can find it (git-tfs.exe and git-fetchall.sh). I understand this to mean the files need to be in a directory that is in the 'PATH' environment variable. In both cases I get stuck at this point: $ git-diffall bash: git-diffall: command not found or: $ git-tfs bash: git-tfs: command not found When I run echo %PATH% from a regular command shell, it shows my path variable includes the directories where git-diffall and git-tfs are. How can I debug this, or am I missing something? Is there a way within msysgit to verify the command search path is what I expect?

  Hello - I am having problems loading Engine PKCS #11 as a dynamic engine using python and M2Crypto. I am trying to access an Aladdin USB eToken. Here are the important steps from my python code: dynamic = Engine.load_dynamic_engine("pkcs11", "/usr/local/ssl/lib/engines/engine_pkcs11.so") pkcs11 = Engine.Engine("pkcs11") pkcs11.ctrl_cmd_string("MODULE_PATH", "/usr/lib/libeTPkcs11.so") pkcs11.engine_init_custom() # initialize engine with custom M2Crypto patch # next few steps which I deleted pass password and grab key & cert off token Engine.cleanup() This works fine the first time this method gets run.   I am trying to set up Jenkins CI for a playframework.org application but am having trouble properly launching play after the auto-test command is run. The tests all run fine, but it seems as though my script is launching both play auto-test and play start --%ci at the same time. When the play start --%ci command runs, it gets a pid and everything, but it's not running. • Problem copying files through xcopy using VBScript

  I am using VBScript to copy files using xcopy. The problem is that the folder path has to be entered by the user. Assuming I put that path in a variable, say h, how do I use this variable in the xcopy command? Here is the code I tried: Dim WshShell, oExec, g, h h = "D:\newfolder" g = "xcopy $h D:\y\ /E" Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Set oExec = WshShell.Exec(g) I also tried &h but it did not work.
