  • Building Reducisaurus URLs

    I'm trying to use Reducisaurus Web Service to minify CSS and Javascript but I've run into a problem... Suppose I've two unminified CSS at: http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/typography.php?font=Arial According to the docs I should call the web service like this: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red And if I want to minify both CSS files at once: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url1=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&url2=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red If I wanted to specify a different number of seconds for the cache (3600 for instance) I would use: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&expire_urls=3600 And again for both CSS files at once: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url1=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&url2=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&expire_urls=3600 Now my question is, how does Reducisaurus knows how to separate the URLs I want? How does it know that &expire_urls=3600 is not part of my URL? And how does it know that &url2=... is not a GET argument of url1? I'm I doing this right? Do I need to urlencode my URLs? I took a peek into the source code and although my Java is very poor it seems that the methods acquireFromRemoteUrl() and getSortedParameterNames() from the BaseServlet.java file hold the answers to my question - if a GET argument name contains - or _ they should be ignored?! What about multiple &url(n)s?

  • AdvancedDataGrid dynamic text Value Coloring - ItemRenderer problem

    In my AdvancedDataGrid, I am adding dynamic values to cells by dragging a cell value to other cells. While copying, I am setting the value to listData and setting the Red color to the value in ItemRenderer. Everything is working fine, but when I scroll down/up, the values remains in the cells where thay are supposed to be(as I am setting to listData) but the coloring behaves wierd(as I am trying to set the color in ItemRenderer). I don't want to store the color of the value, but I should be able to see the dynamically created values in Red color. Is there a way, I can do this? Do I need to set the color to actual dataprovider object and then check in ItemRenderer?   • getView only shows Flagged Backgrounds for drawn Views, It does not show Flagged Background when scroll to view more items on list

    I am trying to create a listview that receives a flagged list of items to indicate a status to the user. I have been able to create the flag display by using a yellow background (see image at bottom). In Theory, the flagged list can have many flagged items in it. However in my app, only the first three flagged backgrounds are shown. I believe this is because they are initially drawn to the screen. The Flagged background that are not drawn initially to the screen do not show. I'd like to know how to get the remaining flags to show in the list. ListView Recycling: The backgrounds in the listView are being recycled in getView(). This recycling goes from position 0 to position 9. I have flags that need to match at positions 13, 14 and so on. Those positions are not being displayed. listView.getCheckedItemPositions() for multiple selections: This method will not work in my case because the user will not selected the flags. The flags are coming from the server. setNotifyOnChange() and/or public virtual void SetNotifyOnChange (bool notifyOnChange): I'm not adding new data to the list, so I don't see how this method would work for my program. Does this method communicate to getview when it is recycling data?   • using the :sass filter with :css

    We are currently making a widget that requires some default declared styles along with it(widget html is included by javasacript, along with the default css in style tags) but the problem is i can't "chain" haml filters. What I'm trying to do is to add an internal stylesheet along with the widget like so: <style type="text/css"> p {color: #f00;} </style> <div id="widget-goes-here"> <p>etc</p> </div> We are using haml so I tried doing it with the sass filter: :sass p :color #f00 #widget-goes-here %p etc sadly, it just generated a div with a p plus the generated css code literally on top: p {color: #f00;} paragraph here I then tried using the :css filter of haml to enclose the thing in style tags(theoretically it should then turn the paragraph text color to red): :css :sass p :color #f00 #widget-goes-here %p etc But this also failed, it did generated style tags but then it just enclosed the words :sass p :color #f00 in it(it didn't parse the sass code) We did change it to :css p {color: #f00} and it worked out fine, but I still plan on doing the styling in sass(instead of plain old css) is there a way to do this?

  • C++ union data-structure, easy acccess of bits within a DWORD

    Im running through a set of DirectX tutorials online and I have the following structure: struct CUSTOMVERTEX { FLOAT x, y, z, rhw; // from the D3DFVF_XYZRHW flag DWORD color; // from the D3DFVF_DIFFUSE flag } My basic understanding of directX leads me to thing tha color is made up of 8-bit alpha, red, green and blue channels. I am attempting to get east access to these channels. Rather than write the following code numerous times (within the CUSTOMVERTEX structure): public: int red() { return (color & 0x00FF0000) >> 16; } I could write a more elegant somution with a combination of a union and a structure e.g. struct CUSTOMVERTEX { FLOAT x, y, z, rhw; // from the D3DFVF_XYZRHW flag #pragma pack(2) union { DWORD color; // from the D3DFVF_DIFFUSE flag struct { char a; char r; char g; char b; }; }; } However this does not appear to function as expected, the values in r, g, & b almost appear the reverse of whats in color e.g. if color is 0x12345678 a = 0x78, r = 0x56. Is this an endieness issue? Also what other problems could I be expecting from this solution? e.g. overflow from the color members? I guess what Im asking is ... is there a better way to do this?!

    I have this SASS mixin that should make a button flash: @mixin background_animation($color) { -webkit-animation: backgroundAnimation 800ms infinite; @-webkit-keyframes backgroundAnimation { 0% {background-color: $color;} 50% {background-color: red;} 100% {background-color: $color;} } } I am using it like this: @include background_animation(#000000); However, it's not working. The background color of the button won't flash. Can anybody tell me what I'm missing here? P.S. The code works fine when not including it as a mixin.     I'm using MooTools 1.4.5 and I want to change cursor before calling function that takes some time and after finished same function set cursor to default. I was not successful. After that I made simple example to change background color via plain JavaScript (no jQuery or MooTools plugin) and again I was not successful. I assumed that the background color will bi set to red and after delay to yellow. It doesn't work. When page is loaded background color is yellow (last line). If I insert alert function in a middle of lines where sets background color everything works fine (background color is red, click to message box, background color is yellow). Why it works so? Only last changing style is affected. I need something like that to change pointer before calling function that takes 10 seconds and setting cursor to default value after function is done.

    I would like to achieve a simplified result similar to the "Color Scale" function in Excel i.e. gradient colouring based on the lowest value (red) to highest value (green), except in my cross tab using Crystal Reports 2008.     The idea was simple: change li background color on hover to one color ul#menu li a:hover {...} change it on mouse press to the other color ul#menu li a:active {...} return the color to the original (normal) if the link is neither hover nor pressed The problem appeared to be that, if user rejected his intention and lets the mouse up away from the link, the back color stays as if it was pressed. Then I tried to research and came up with this: ul#menu li a:hover:active {...} It became better, and the link is not marked with special back color in a normal state after user presses the link and rejects. But the "on-hover" back color became equal to the active one. So it looks like the link gets "active" state and stays in it even after user releases mouse button. Hate to write this, but I am very new to html and css. So I may be missing something very basic here. Could you, please, suggest any way, how to achieve my goal? EDIT I've read this source CSS Styling links (thought there could be some other state to use instead of active), but found nothing suitable there...

  • How to detect if a RGB is fully transparent?

I purposely keep all rgba values 0. However after I create the Color object with the rgba value as the constructor, if I call .getAlpha(), I get 255 even though I made the rgb value with a 0 alpha. If it returns 255, how could I tell the difference between a Color object that wasn't transparent, because that would also have a 255 alpha. I expect the color object to return a 0 alpha based on the function above. Does anyone know whats going on? Thanks

  • Linux Software RAID1 Rebuild Completes, but after reboot, its degraded again

    I have been beating my head with an issue here, and I'm now turning to the internet for help. I have a system running Mandrake Linux, with the following configuration: /dev/hda - This is a IDE drive. Has some partitions on it that boot the system and make up most of the file system. /dev/sda - This is drive 1 of 2 for a software raid /dev/md0 /dev/sdb - This is drive 2 of 2 for a software raid /dev/md0 md0 gets mounted but fstab as /data-storage, so it is not critical to the systems ability to boot. We can comment it out of fstab, and the system works just fine either way. The problem is, we have a failed sdb drive. So I shut the box down, and have pulled the failed disk and installed a new disk. When the system boots up, /proc/mdstat shows only sda as part of the raid. I then run the various command to rebuild the RAID to /dev/sdb. Everything rebuilds correctly, and upon completion, you look at /proc/mdstat and it shows 2 drives sda1(0) and sdb1(1). Everything looks great. Then you reboot the box ... UGH!!! Once rebooted, sdb is missing again from the RAID. It is like the rebuild never happened. I can walk through the commands to rebuild it again, and it will work, but again, after reboot, the box seems to make sdb just vanish! The real odd thing is, if after reboot, I pull sda out of the box, and try to get the system to load with the rebuilt sdb drive in the system, and when I do, the system actually throws and error just after grub, and says something about drive error, and the system has to shut down. Thoughts??? I'm starting to wonder if grub has something to do with this mess. That the drive isn't being setup within grub to be visible at boot? This RAID array isn't necessary for the system to boot, but when the replacement drive is in there, without SDA it won't boot system, so it makes me believe there is something to that. On top of that, there just seems to be something wonky here the drive falling off of RAID after reboot. I've hit the point of pounding my head on the keyboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    I heard that .NET 4 has a new caching API. Okay, so the good old System.Web.Caching.Cache (which is, by the way, still there in .NET 4) has the ability to set so-called CacheDependency objects to determine whether a cached item is expired or not. One can also specify custom logic for determining whether a cached item is still useable or not by deriving a custom subclass from CacheDependency. I'm curious, is there a way to provide such a logic in the new API?

    Hi , i am a newbie at ASP.net and after using sqldatasource with a listview to insert and show results from an SQL server db i want to try using the LINQ datasource since it seems to be more flexible in codebehind.   • C# - Alternative to System.Timers.Timer, to call a function at a specific time.

    Hello everybody. I want to call a specific function on my C# application at a specific time. At first i thought about using a Timer (System.Time.Timer), but that soon became impossible to use. Why? Simple. The Timer Class requires a Interval in milliseconds, but considering that i might want the function to be executed, lets says in a week that would mean: 7 Days = 168 hours; 168 Hours = 10,080 minutes; 10,080 Minutes = 6,048,000 seconds; 6,048,000 Seconds = 6,048,000,000 milliseconds; So the Interval would be 6,048,000,000; Now lets remember that the Interval accepted data type is int, and as we know int range goes from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647. That makes Timer useless in this case once we cannot set a Interval bigger that 2,147,483,647 milliseconds. So i need a solution where i could specify when the function should be called. Something like this: solution.ExecuteAt = "30-04-2010 15:10:00"; solution.Function = "functionName"; solution.Start(); So when the System Time would reach "30-04-2010 15:10:00" the function would be executed in the application. How can this problem be solved? Thanks just by taking the time to read my question. But if you could provide me with some help i would be most grateful. Additional Info: What these functions will do? Getting climate information and based on that info: Starting / Shutting down other Applications (most of them Console Based); Sending custom Commands to those Console Applications; Power down, Rebooting, Sleep, Hibernate the computer; And if possible schedule the BIOS to Power Up the Computer; EDIT: It would seem that the Interval accepted data type is double, however if you set a value bigger that an int to the Interval, and call Start() it throws a exception [0, Int32.MaxValue]. EDIT 2: Jørn Schou-Rode suggested using Ncron to handle the scheduling tasks, and at first look this seems a good solution, but i would like to hear about some who as worked with it.

    Hi, I'm trying to write my own abstraction over the MessageBoxImage enumeration, and see that MessageBoxImage is defined as: namespace System.Windows { public enum MessageBoxImage { None = 0, Error = 16, Hand = 16, Stop = 16, Question = 32, Exclamation = 48, Warning = 48, Asterisk = 64, Information = 64, } } How does the Show method determine whether to display an Error image or a Hand image? How would I write a method which takes a MessageBoxImage type, and return a CustomMessageBoxImage type which maps to the MessageBoxImage type, as I can't include both MessageBoxImage.Error and MessageBoxImage.Hand in the same switch statement?

  • What parts of this book are outdated? "Design of the UNIX Operating System" by Maurice Bach, 1986

    I learned programming on the job via high-level languages. I'm trying to gain a better understanding of the lower-level workings of computing and picked up "Design of the UNIX Operating System" by Maurice Bach. What do I need to know in terms of which topics in this book may not be relevant to understanding Linux nuts and bolts? Is there a newer book or Linux-specific book that I should read instead? I really like the clarity of this particular book, though.
