• Fluent / NHibernate Collections of the same class

  I am new to NHibernate and I am having trouble mapping the following relationships within this class. public class Category : IAuditable { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name{ get; set; } public virtual Category ParentCategory { get; set; } public virtual IList<Category> SubCategories { get; set; } public Category() { this.Name = string.Empty; this.SubCategories = new List<Category>(); } } Class Maps (although, these are practically guesses) public class CategoryMap : ClassMap<Category> { public CategoryMap() { Id(x => x.Id); Map(x => x.Name); References(x => x.ParentCategory) .Nullable() .Not.LazyLoad(); HasMany(x => x.SubCategories) .Cascade.All(); } } Each Category may have a parent category, some Categories have many subCategories, etc, etc I can get the Category to Save correctly (correct subcategories and parent category fk exist in the database) but when loading, it returns itself as the parent category. I am using Fluent for the class mapping, but if someone could point me in the right direction for just plain NHibernate that would work as well.

• How to map combinations of things to a relational database?

  I have a table whose records represent certain objects. For the sake of simplicity I am going to assume that the table only has one row, and that is the unique ObjectId. Now I need a way to store combinations of objects from that table. The combinations have to be unique, but can be of arbitrary length. For example, if I have the ObjectIds 1,2,3,4 I want to store the following combinations: {1,2}, {1,3,4}, {2,4}, {1,2,3,4} The ordering is not necessary. My current implementation is to have a table Combinations that maps ObjectIds to CombinationIds. So every combination receives a unique Id: ObjectId | CombinationId ------------------------ 1 | 1 2 | 1 1 | 2 3 | 2 4 | 2 This is the mapping for the first two combinations of the example above. The problem is, that the query for finding the CombinationId of a specific Combination seems to be very complex. The two main usage scenarios for this table will be to iterate over all combinations, and the retrieve a specific combination. The table will be created once and never be updated. I am using SQLite through JDBC. Is there any simpler way or a best practice to implement such a mapping?

• AutoMapper : Site wide usage of IValueFormatter for given types

  It is my understanding I can configure AutoMapper in the following way and during mapping it should format all source model dates to the rules defined in the IValueFormatter and set the result to the mapped model. ForSourceType<DateTime>().AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>(); ForSourceType<DateTime?>().AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>(); I get no effect for my mapped class with this. It only works when I do the following: Mapper.CreateMap<Member, MemberForm>().ForMember(x => x.DateOfBirth, y => y.AddFormatter<StandardDateFormatter>()); I am mapping DateTime? Member.DateOfBirth to string MemberForm.DateOfBirth. The formatter basically creates a short date string from the date. Is there something I am missing when setting the default formatter for a given type?   Hello, Im doing a project with C# winforms. This project is composed by: Client project: Windows Forms where user will do CRUD operations on the models; Server project; Common Project: This project will hold the models (in the image only have the model Item); ListSingleton: Remote Object that will do the operations on the models; I already have all the communication working, but now I need to work on the persistence of the data in a mysql database. I was trying to use nHibernate but I’m having some troubles. My main problem is how to organize my hibernate configuration. In which project do I keep the mapping? Common project? In which project do I keep the hibernate configuration file (App.config)? ListSingleton project? In which project do I do this: Configuration cfg = new Configuration(); cfg.AddXmlFile("Item.hbm.xml"); ISessionFactory factory = cfg.BuildSessionFactory(); ISession session = factory.OpenSession(); ITransaction transaction = session.BeginTransaction(); Item newItem = new Item("BLAA"); // Tell NHibernate that this object should be saved session.Save(newItem); // commit all of the changes to the DB and close the ISession transaction.Commit(); session.Close(); In the ListSingleton project? • How to update to jersey 2.X on an app using jersey 1.1X?

  i recently faced a problem with the handling of exceptions using jersey. In this case it was that the exceptions thrown from Exception mapper are not re thrown to the underlaying container, i searched and found that this has been fixed in the 2.0 version. But i'm using jersey 1.10 and the 2.X dependencies are all different and its also maven based. Since this project is not using maven, how do i use the more recent version?In the 2.X versions there are no jackson json jars for example. So i'm having some doubts in how to upgrade.   For eg, my input XML is look like this. <root> <myelemt> <input type="variable"> <variable>STARTDATE</variable> <variable>CUSTOMERNAME</variable> </input> </myelemt> </root> it is deserialized and loaded into the object MyXmlElemtObj in my code i have written like this, if(MyXmlElemtObj.input.variable.ToUpper() == "STARTDATE") ProcessObjectB(ObjectA.OrderDate); if(MyXmlElemtObj.input.variable.ToUpper() == "CUSTOMERNAME") ProcessObjectB(ObjectC.UserName); Here I am mapping those input literals to some objects value. The one thing that scares me is seeing some ** hard-coded literals** all over my code. Instead i would like to write something like ProcessObjectB(Common.GetMappedvalue(MyXmlElemtObj.input.variable)); Is there a way to isolate this mapping thing to common class, where i will predefine which literal is mapped to which values. The problem is the values are of objects created at the run time. If my question is making sense then So how do i achieve this? • JSP displaying source code instead of executing

  I'm new to jsp and have ran into some trouble. Initially, the jsp file and associated java classes were built and tested fine on a test Tomcat server. Now, they've been transitioned to another server of what I believe is the same setup (except it's linux now instead of windows). But when the jsp page is accessed the source code is displayed instead of the jsp actually executing. I've googled for a while but received no success. I had thought that this page might solve the problem since there was no reference to the jsp file I was using or even the following snippets in my web.xml file in the WEB-INF folder: <servlet> <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet</servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>logVerbosityLevel</param-name> <param-value>WARNING</param-value> </init-param> <load-on-startup>3</load-on-startup> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> I tried inserting these lines and restarting Tomcat, but no success. • Entity Framework does not map 2 columns from a SqlQuery calling a stored procedure

  I'm using Code First and am trying to call a stored procedure and have it map to one of my classes. I created a stored procedure, BOMComponentChild, that returns details of a Component with information of its hierarchy in PartsPath and MyPath. I have a class for the output of this stored procedure. I'm having an issue where everything except the two columns, PartsPath and MyPath, are being mapped correctly with these two properties ending up as Nothing. I searched around and from my understanding the mapping bypasses any Entity Framework name mapping and uses column name to property name. The names are the same and I'm not sure why it is only these two columns. • Setting up App Engine to receive email addresses with ids in the address

  I am writing an App Engine app that is supposed to receive emails in this form: [email protected] (someID is an alphanumeric ID that I generate). I have this in my web.xml thinking it would catch emails that start with 'addcontact.': <servlet> <servlet-name>addNewContactServlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>com.mycompany.server.AddNewContactServlet</servlet- class> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>addNewContactServlet</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/_ah/mail/addcontact.*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> However, both on my dev machine and on google's servers email is not received. On the dev machine I get this message (I get a similar error in the deployed log) Message send failure HTTP ERROR 404 Problem accessing /_ah/mail/ [email protected]. Reason: NOT_FOUND I can receive email at fully specified addresses or when I use /_ah/mail/* The google documentation made me believe it was possible to include partial email addresses in web.xml. Am I not using the wildcard correctly? Does the period have something to do with it? Can this be done somehow?

  Background: I am mapping Sybase stored procedure return values to java objects using Spring. For example I map a Sybase datatype of varchar as a String type in Java, and a Sybase datatype of int as an int type in Java, etc. I have come across the following code in one of the stored procedures: SELECT DISTINCT A.Col1 AS val1, A.Col2 AS val2, NULL AS someVal, A.col3 AS val3, ... A.col9 AS val9 FROM #SomeTable A ORDER BY Col2, Col3 I have 2 related questions: What does Null mean in this scenario? I am confused as to what is happening here. I am able to determine the data type of Col1, Col2, etc. of course by looking at the table definition of Table A defined earlier in the stored procedure. Thus I know what datatype I can define in my Java object for val1, val2, etc.. But what about "someVal"? What datatype mapping am I supposed to perform for this Null value? I am fairly inexperienced in SQL. Perhaps the answer is much simpler than I realize.

• Confluence or apache on win server 2008 cant find scripts and images :(

  I am a newbie to both Tomcat and Apache. I have set the virtual hosts as described in Here. And JIRA works fine when i browse the URL jira.agmlab.com. However when i try to access Confluence(3.4.5) with confluence.agmlab.com the pages come in plain html, i can login and browse pages but there is no css or js so that my confluence pages look very ugly. what can possibly cause this and how to fix this? here is my virtual hosts definitions : # # Virtual Hosts # # If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Can it be something related with the permissions defined in Win Server 2008 ? maybe there is not enough rights (such as read execute ) in some users, directories ??

Any ideas? The python version error might be red herring - I've seen it in a couple of places in the log files and in other scenarios it doesn't appear to be breaking anything...

In TFS 2010 Installation, First you need to do the Installation and then you have to configure the Installation Feature from the available features. This is bit similar to SharePoint Installation, where you will first do the Installation and then configure the SharePoint Farms. 1) Installation Features available in TFS2010: a) Basic: It is the most compact TFS installation possible. It will install and configure Source Control, Work Item tracking and Build Services only. (SharePoint and Reporting Integration will not be possible). b) Standard Single Server: This is suitable for Single Server deployment of TFS. It will install and configure Windows SharePoint Services for you and will use the default instance of SQL Server. c) Advanced: It is suitable, if you want use Remote Servers for SQL Server Databases, SharePoint Products and Technologies and SQL Server Reporting Services. d) Application Tier Only: If you want to configure high availability for Team Foundation Server in a Load Balanced Environment (NLB) or you want to move Team Foundation Server from one server to other or you want to restore TFS. e) Upgrade: If you want to upgrade from a prior version of TFS. Note: One more important thing to know here about  TFS 2010 Basic is that,  it can be installed on Client Operations Systems(Windows 7 and Windows Vista SP3), Where as  earlier you cannot Install previous version of TFS (2008 and 2005) on client OS. 2) Team Project Collections: Connect to TFS dialog box in TFS 2008:  In TFS 2008, the TFS Server contains a set of Team Projects and each project may or may not be independent of other projects and every checkin gets a ever increasing  changeset ID  irrespective of the team project in which it is checked in and the same applies to work items  also, who also gets unique Work Item Ids.The main problem with this approach was that there are certain things which were impossible to do; those were required as per the Application Development Process. a)      If something has gone wrong in one team project and now you want to restore it back to earlier state where it was working properly then it requires you to restore the Database of Team Foundation Server from the backup you have taken as per your Maintenance plans and because of this the other team projects may lose out on the work which is not backed up. b)       Your company had a merge with some other company and now you have two TFS servers. One TFS Server which you are working on and other TFS server which other company was working and now after the merge you want to integrate the team projects from two TFS servers into one, which is almost impossible to achieve in TFS 2008. Though you can create the Team Projects in one server manually (In Source Control) which you want to integrate from the other TFS Server, but will lose out on History of Change Sets and Work items and others which are very important. There were few more issues of this sort, which were difficult to resolve in TFS 2008. To resolve issues related to above kind of scenarios which were mainly related TFS Maintenance, Integration, migration and Security,  Microsoft has come up with Team Project Collections concept in TFS 2010.This concept is similar to SharePoint Site Collections and if you are familiar with SharePoint Architecture, then it will help you to understand TFS 2010 Architecture easily. Connect to TFS dialog box in TFS 2010: In above dialog box as you can see there are two Team Project Collections, each team project can contain any number of team projects as you can see on right side it shows the two Team Projects in Team Project Collection (Default Collection) which I have chosen. Note: You can connect to only one Team project Collection at a time using an instance of  TFS Team Explorer. How does it work? To introduce Team Project Collections, changes have been done in reorganization of TFS databases. TFS 2008 was composed of 5-7 databases partitioned by subsystem (each for Version Control, Work Item Tracking, Build, Integration, Project Management...) New TFS 2010 database architecture: TFS_Config: It’s the root database and it contains centralized TFS configuration data, including the list of all team projects exist in TFS server. TFS_Warehouse: The data warehouse contains all the reporting data of served by this server (farm). TFS_* : This contains individual team project collection data. This database contains all the operational data of team project collection regardless of subsystem.In additional to this, you will have databases for SharePoint and Report Server. 3) TFS Farms:  As TFS 2010 is more flexible to configure as multiple Application tiers and multiple Database tiers, so it will be more appropriate to call as TFS Farm if you going for multi server installation of TFS. NLB support for TFS application tiers – With TFS 2010: you can configure multiple TFS application tier machines to serve the same set of Team Project Collections. The primary purpose of NLB support is to enable a cleaner and more complete high availability than in TFS 2008. Even if any application tier in the farm fails then farm will automatically continue to work with hardly any indication to end users of a problem. SQL data tiers: With 2010 you can configure many SQL Servers. Each Database can be configured to be on any SQL Server because each Team Project Collection is an independent database. This feature can also be used to load balance databases across SQL Servers.These new capabilities will significantly change the way enterprises manage their TFS installations in the future. With Team Project Collections and TFS farms, you can create a single, arbitrarily large TFS installation. You can grow it incrementally by adding ATs and SQL Servers as needed.

• JMX Based Monitoring - Part Four - Business App Server Monitoring

  In the last blog entry I talked about the Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4 feature for monitoring and managing aspects of the Web Application Server using JMX. In this blog entry I am going to discuss a similar new feature that allows JMX to be used for management and monitoring the Oracle Utilities business application server component. This feature is primarily focussed on performance tracking of the product. In first release of Oracle Utilities Customer Care And Billing (V1.x I am talking about), we used to use Oracle Tuxedo as part of the architecture. In Oracle Utilities Application Framework V2.0 and above, we removed Tuxedo from the architecture. One of the features that some customers used within Tuxedo was the performance tracking ability. The idea was that you enabled performance logging on the individual Tuxedo servers and then used a utility named txrpt to produce a performance report. This report would list every service called, the number of times it was called and the average response time. When I worked a performance consultant, I used this report to identify badly performing services and also gauge the overall performance characteristics of a site. When Tuxedo was removed from the architecture this information was also lost. While you can get some information from access.log and some Mbeans supplied by the Web Application Server it was not at the same granularity as txrpt or as useful. I am happy to say we have not only reintroduced this facility in Oracle Utilities Application Framework but it is now accessible via JMX and also we have added more detail into the performance tracking. Most of this new design was working with customers around the world to make sure we introduced a new feature that not only satisfied their performance tracking needs but allowed for finer grained performance analysis. As with the Web Application Server, the Business Application Server JMX monitoring is enabled by specifying a JMX port number in RMI Port number for JMX Business and initial credentials in the JMX Enablement System User ID and JMX Enablement System Password configuration options. These options are available using the configureEnv[.sh] -a utility. These credentials are shared across the Web Application Server and Business Application Server for authorization purposes. Once this is information is supplied a number of configuration files are built (by the initialSetup[.sh] utility) to configure the facility: spl.properties - contains the JMX URL, the security configuration and the mbeans that are enabled. For example, on my demonstration machine: spl.runtime.management.rmi.port=6750 spl.runtime.management.connector.url.default=service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://localhost:6750/oracle/ouaf/ejbAppConnector jmx.remote.x.password.file=scripts/ouaf.jmx.password.file jmx.remote.x.access.file=scripts/ouaf.jmx.access.file ouaf.jmx.com.splwg.ejb.service.management.PerformanceStatistics=enabled ouaf.jmx.* files - contain the userid and password. The default configuration uses the JMX default configuration. You can use additional security features by altering the spl.properties file manually or using a custom template. For more security options see JMX Security for more details. Once it has been configured and the changes reflected in the product using the initialSetup[.sh] utility the JMX facility can be used. For illustrative purposes I will use jconsole but any JSR160 complaint browser or client can be used (with the appropriate configuration). Once you start jconsole (ensure that splenviron[.sh] is executed prior to execution to set the environment variables or for remote connection, ensure java is in your path and jconsole.jar in your classpath) you specify the URL in the spl.runtime.management.connnector.url.default entry. For example: You are then able to track performance of the product using the PerformanceStatistics Mbean. The attributes of the PerformanceStatistics Mbean are counts of each object type. This is where this facility differs from txrpt. The information that is collected includes the following: The Service Type is captured so you can filter the results in terms of the type of service. For maintenance type services you can even see the transaction type (ADD, CHANGE etc) so you can see the performance of updates against read transactions. The Minimum and Maximum are also collected to give you an idea of the spread of performance. The last call is recorded. The date, time and user of the last call are recorded to give you an idea of the timeliness of the data. The Mbean maintains a set of counters per Service Type to give you a summary of the types of transactions being executed. This gives you an overall picture of the types of transactions and volumes at your site. There are a number of interesting operations that can also be performed: reset - This resets the statistics back to zero. This is an important operation. For example, txrpt is restricted to collecting statistics per hour, which is ok for most people. But what if you wanted to be more granular? This operation allows to set the collection period to anything you wish. The statistics collected will represent values since the last restart or last reset. completeExecutionDump - This is the operation that produces a CSV in memory to allow extraction of the data. All the statistics are extracted (see the Server Administration Guide for a full list). This can be then loaded into a database, a tool or simply into your favourite spreadsheet for analysis. • SOLVED mwfeedparser integrating in my app gives EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=1, address=0xa0040008)

  SOLVED- Got it! The problem was that since I am creating the DoParsingStuff *parseThisUrl object in the viewDidLoad method, it's scope was only within that method. So after the method finished, the object got deallocated. I changed it to an instance variable instead and now it works. It gives a different error but that it an entirely different issue. Issue was: I have been struggling with trying to integrate the mwfeedparser library in my app for parsing RSS and ATOM feeds. I tried it with NSZombies enabled and got a bit more info out of it: -[DoParsingStuff respondsToSelector:]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x6a52480 I am not using release/autorelease/retain etc. in this class...but it is being used in the mwfeedparser library.

Launching the input date popup is a bit more complicate and requires you to lookup the implicit popup dialog and to open it manually. Because the popup is opened manually using the show() method on the af:popup component, the alignment of the dialog also needs to be handled manually. For this, the popup component specifies alignment hints, that for the ALIGN_END_AFTER hint aligns the dialog at the end and below the date component. The align Id hint specifies the component the dialog is relatively positioned to, which of course should be the input date field. • Django app that can provide user friendly, multiple / mass file upload functionality to other apps

  Hi, I'm going to be honest: this is a question I asked on the Django-Users mailinglist last week. Since I didn't get any replies there yet, I'm reposting it on Stack Overflow in the hope that it gets more attention here. I want to create an app that makes it easy to do user friendly, multiple / mass file upload in your own apps. With user friendly I mean upload like Gmail, Flickr, ... where the user can select multiple files at once in the browse file dialog. The files are then uploaded sequentially or in parallel and a nice overview of the selected files is shown on the page with a progress bar next to them. A 'Cancel' upload button is also a possible option. All that niceness is usually solved by using a Flash object. Complete solutions are out there for the client side, like: SWFUpload http://swfupload.org/ , FancyUpload http://digitarald.de/project/fancyupload/ , YUI 2 Uploader http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/uploader/ and probably many more. Ofcourse the trick is getting those solutions integrated in your project. Especially in a framework like Django, double so if you want it to be reusable. So, I have a few ideas, but I'm neither an expert on Django nor on Flash based upload solutions. I'll share my ideas here in the hope of getting some feedback from more knowledgeable and experienced people. (Or even just some 'I want this too!' replies :) ) You will notice that I make a few assumptions: this is to keep the (initial) scope of the application under control. These assumptions are of course debatable: All right, my idea's so far: If you want to mass upload multiple files, you are going to have a model to contain each file in. I.e. the model will contain one FileField or one ImageField. Models with multiple (but ofcourse finite) amount of FileFields/ ImageFields are not in need of easy mass uploading imho: if you have a model with 100 FileFields you are doing something wrong :) Examples where you would want my envisioned kind of mass upload: An app that has just one model 'Brochure' with a file field, a title field (dynamically created from the filename) and a date_added field. A photo gallery app with models 'Gallery' and 'Photo'. You pick a Gallery to add pictures to, upload the pictures and new Photo objects are created and foreign keys set to the chosen Gallery. It would be nice to be able to configure or extend the app for your favorite Flash upload solution. We can pick one of the three above as a default, but implement the app so that people can easily add additional implementations (kinda like Django can use multiple databases). Let it be agnostic to any particular client side solution. If we need to pick one to start with, maybe pick the one with the smallest footprint? (smallest download of client side stuff) The Flash based solutions asynchronously (and either sequentially or in parallel) POST the files to a url. I suggest that url to be local to our generic app (so it's the same for every app where you use our app in). That url will go to a view provided by our generic app. The view will do the following: create a new model instance, add the file, OPTIONALLY DO EXTRA STUFF and save the instance. DO EXTRA STUFF is code that the app that uses our app wants to run. It doesn't have to provide any extra code, if the model has just a FileField/ImageField the standard view code will do the job. But most app will want to do extra stuff I think, like filling in the other fields: title, date_added, foreignkeys, manytomany, ... I have not yet thought about a mechanism for DO EXTRA STUFF. Just wrapping the generic app view came to mind, but that is not developer friendly, since you would have to write your own url pattern and your own view. Then you have to tell the Flash solutions to use a new url etc... I think something like signals could be used here? Forms/Admin: I'm still very sketchy on how all this could best be integrated in the Admin or generic Django forms/widgets/... (and this is were my lack of Django experience shows): In the case of the Gallery/Photo app: You could provide a mass Photo upload widget on the Gallery detail form. But what if the Gallery instance is not saved yet? The file upload view won't be able to set the foreignkeys on the Photo instances. I see that the auth app, when you create a user, first asks for username and password and only then provides you with a bigger form to fill in emailadres, pick roles etc. We could do something like that. In the case of an app with just one model: How do you provide a form in the Django admin to do your mass upload? You can't do it with the detail form of your model, that's just for one model instance. There's probably dozens more questions that need to be answered before I can even start on this app. So please tell me what you think! Give me input! What do you like? What not? Oracle recently announced Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-in for Amazon Web Services (AWS) allows you to achieve that goal. The on-premise Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM12c) acts as a single tool to get a comprehensive view of your public AWS resources as well as your private cloud resources.  By deploying the plug-in within your Cloud Control environment, you gain the following management features: Monitor EBS, EC2 and RDS instances on Amazon Web Services Gather performance metrics and configuration details for AWS instances Raise alerts and violations based on thresholds set on monitoring Generate reports based on the gathered data Users of this Plug-in can leverage the rich Enterprise Manager features such as system promotion, incident generation based on thresholds, integration with 3rd party ticketing applications etc. AWS Monitoring via this Plug-in is enabled via Amazon CloudWatch API and the users of this Plug-in are responsible for supplying credentials for accessing AWS and the CloudWatch API. This Plug-in can only be deployed on an EM12C R2 platform and agent version should be at minimum 12c R2.Here is a pictorial view of the overall architecture: Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Here are a few key features: Rich and exhaustive list of metrics. Metrics can be gathered from an Agent running outside AWS. Critical configuration information. Custom Home Pages with charts and AWS configuration information. Generate incidents based on thresholds set on monitoring data. Discovery and Monitoring AWS instances can be added to EM12C either via the EM12c User Interface (UI) or the EM12c Command Line Interface ( EMCLI)  by providing the AWS credentials (Secret Key and Access Key Id) as well as resource specific properties as target properties. Here is a quick mapping of target types and properties for each AWS resources AWS Resource Type Target Type Resource specific properties EBS Resource Amazon EBS Service CloudWatch base URI, EC2 Base URI, Period, Volume Id, Proxy Server and Port EC2 Resource Amazon EC2 Service CloudWatch base URI, EC2 Base URI, Period, Instance  Id, Proxy Server and Port RDS Resource Amazon RDS Service CloudWatch base URI, RDS Base URI, Period, Instance  Id, Proxy Server and Port Proxy server and port are optional and are only needed if the agent is within the firewall. Here is an emcli example to add an EC2 target. Once the instance is discovered, the target will show up under the ‘All Targets’ list under “Amazon EC2 Service’. Once the instances are added, one can navigate to the custom homepages for these resource types. The custom home pages not only include critical metrics, but also vital configuration parameters and incidents raised for these instances.  By mapping the configuration parameters as instance properties, we can slice-and-dice and group various AWS instance by leveraging the EM12C Config search feature. The following configuration properties and metrics are collected for these Resource types.
