• Partial view is not rendering within the main view it's contained (instead it's rendered in it's own page)?

  I have a partial view that is contained in a simple index view. When I try to add a new object to my model and update my partial view to display that new object along with existing objects the partial view is rendered outside the page that it's contained? I'm using AJAX to update the partial view but what is wrong with the following code? • Application pool crashing regularly (8007006d) (Service Unavailable)

  I have a basic web form site running. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is frequently crashing the application pool. The error code I got from the logs is '8007006d'. Googling this does not come up with the usual bevy of results.... I do get a few people with a similar problem. Any the advise seems to be that the error is related to registry permissions. Can anyone confirm / disconfirm this theory. That if I get error 8007006d it is definately a reg permissions problem? Here is the code from my page.   Hi, I'm writing an app to check for the bus timetable's. Therefor I need to post some data to a html page, submit it, and parse the resulting page with htmlparser. I also find it confusing, for example, that when I enter the data by hand, the url says, for example, "....HTO=Kaiserplatz&...", but in Firebug, the same Kaiserplatz is connected to a different field, in this case: \<\td class="Start3" Kaiserplatz <\/td (I inserted \ to make it visible) The last line in my code prints the html page, but without having send a request.. it's printed as if there was no input at all... I have added in the code as of right now an extra onclick="this.style.display='none'" in the .cs code but that is a ugly fix I was wondering if anyone would have a better idea of disabling the ThemeButton clientside?? pls any feedback if I need to give more examples or further explain the question thanks.

• ESXi 4.1 host not recognising existing VMFS datastore

  Existing setup: host1 and host2, ESX 4.0, 2 HBAs each. lun1 and lun2, 2 LUNs belonging to the same RAID set (my terminology might be sketchy here). This has been working just fine all along. I added host3, ESXi 4.1, 2 HBAs. If I view Configuration / Storage Adapters, I can see that both HBAs see both LUNs, but if I view Configuration / Storage, I only see 1 datastore. host1/2 can see both LUNs and I have VMs running on both too. I have rescanned, refreshed and even rebooted, but host3 refuses to acknowledge 1 of the datastores. Does anyone know what's going on? Update: I re-installed the host with ESX (not i) 4.0, same version as the existing hosts and it's still not recognising the vmfs. I think I'm going to SVmotion everything off that datastore then format it. Update2: I've created the LUN from scratch and the problem gets even weirder. I've presented the LUN to all 3 hosts, and I can see the LUN in the vSphere client's Configuration / Storage Adapters section on all 3 hosts. If I create a datastore on the LUN via the Configuration / Storage section on host1, it works fine and I can create an empty folder via datastore browser, but the datastore is not seen by the host2 and host3. I can use the Add Storage wizard on host2 and it will see the LUN. At this point the "VMFS Label" column has the label I gave with "(head)" appended. If I try the Add Storage wizard's "Keep the existing signature" option, it fails with an error "Cannot change the host configuration." and a dialog box that says 'Call "HostStorageSystem.ResolveMultipleUnresolvedVmfsVolumes" for object "storageSystem-17" on vCenter Server "vcenter.company.local" failed.' If I try the Add Storage wizard's "Assign a new signature" option on host2, it will complete and the VMFS label will have "snap-(hexnumber)-" prepended. At this point its also visible on host3, but not host1. I have a similar setup in a different datacenter which didn't give me all this trouble.

• Account Lockout with pam_tally2 in RHEL6

  I am using pam_tally2 to lockout accounts after 3 failed logins per policy, however, the connecting user does not receive the error indicating pam_tally2's action. (Via SSH.) I expect to see on the 4th attempt: Account locked due to 3 failed logins No combination of required or requisite or the order in the file seems to help. This is under Red Hat 6, and I am using /etc/pam.d/password-auth. The lockout does work as expected but the user does not receive the error described above. This causes a lot of confusion and frustration as they have no way of knowing why authentication fails when they are sure they are using the correct password. Implementation follows NSA's Guide to the Secure Conguration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. (pg.45) It's my understanding that that only thing changed in PAM is that /etc/pam.d/sshd now includes /etc/pam.d/password-auth instead of system-auth. If locking out accounts after a number of incorrect login attempts is required by your security policy, implement use of pam_tally2.so. To enforce password lockout, add the following to /etc/pam.d/system-auth. First, add to the top of the auth lines: auth required pam_tally2.so deny=5 onerr=fail unlock_time=900 Second, add to the top of the account lines: account required pam_tally2.so EDIT: I get the error message by resetting pam_tally2 during one of the login attempts. user@localhost's password: (bad password) Permission denied, please try again. user@localhost's password: (bad password) Permission denied, please try again. Based on testing these drives and this card in two other machines and combos of connecting the drives directly to the motherboard or the add-in card, I'm relatively convinced that it's the VIA chipset that is the problem. Another computer that also has an onboard VIA SATA chipset (like the add-in card) produces the same errors when the drives are directly on that motherboard. I have been able to verify that the drives are perfectly good, and I tried everything I can think of in terms of swapping cables, psu isn't overloaded, etc. The error happens on boot once or twice, after using fdisk on the drive once or twice, and constantly when attempting to sync a new mdadm raid 1 array created on the two drives. Any thoughts on where to go from here - driver/kernel wise? I'm completely open to buying a new PCI add-in card if someone can recommend one with 2 internal sata ports that works well in Debian/Ubuntu. Thanks!

• Weblogic 12 and the CLI

  I am working with WebLogic on Fedora 19 and am attempting to use the CLI tools to no avail. It appears these were deprecated as far back as WebLogic 9 however I was assured they are still there and still functional. As it stands I have a need to use them if they are in fact functional. What appears to the case is that the weblogic jar file is not being loaded correctly to the classpath by this script after trying to manually add it to the classpath as it fails when trying to add those jars via java -classpath <path>. I've spent a lot of time so far trying to get this sorted out but I'm wondering what I may be missing here. My Java runtime is version 7, Fedora is 19, and WebLogic is 12.1. When I run env after running the provided set environment script it appears to have no impact from what I can see. (I'll add that later when I get back to that machine). I'm mostly a Windows developer so some of this is a topic I'm not well versed in. • Errors when attempting to update source files, Server 2012R2 (errors 80073701 and 14081)

  I have a Windows Server 2012R2 machine that I installed with Server Core, and then decided that I wanted to switch to GUI. I'll make the long story short: I ran windows updates, and now the source files are older/out of sync with the operating system, and I need to update the source files. Services Configure Website Edit Directives The problem is, the previous page (Services Configure website) says I can't edit the port: This Apache virtual host belongs to the Virtualmin server linguist.andyibanez.com, so the address, port, base directory and hostname cannot be changed here. And whenever I try to add the ProxyRequests off (the other two can be added fine) directive in Edit Directives manually, I'm simply told that the directive can't be there. So what is the right way to "add" the last three directives in the VirtualHost above to my sub server? Maybe I'm missing a menu item that will help me with this? I request your help as I have looked for a while, Google keeps thinking I want to serve Webmin via Apache when I google "Set up Virtualmin proxypass", and I have no clue what to do.

  I try to get the value of the request parameter "authorization" and to store it in the header "Authorization" of the request. The first rewrite rule works fine. In the second rewrite rule the value of $2 does not seem to be stored in the environement variable. As a consequence the request header "Authorization" is empty. Any idea ? • Different routing rules for a particular user using firewall mark and ip rule

  Running Ubuntu 12.10 on amd64. I'm trying to set up different routing rules for a particular user. I understand that the right way to do this is to create a firewall rule that marks the packets for that user, and add a routing rule for that mark. Just to get testing going, I've added a rule that discards all packets as unreachable: # ip rule 0: from all lookup local 32765: from all fwmark 0x1 unreachable 32766: from all lookup main 32767: from all lookup default With this rule in place and all firewall chains in all tables empty and policy ACCEPT, I can still ping remote hosts just fine as any user. If I then add a rule to mark all packets and try to ping Google, it fails as expected # iptables -t mangle -F OUTPUT # iptables -t mangle -A OUTPUT -j MARK --set-mark 0x01 # ping www.google.com ping: unknown host www.google.com If I restrict this rule to the VPN user, it seems to have no effect. # iptables -t mangle -F OUTPUT # iptables -t mangle -A OUTPUT -j MARK --set-mark 0x01 -m owner --uid-owner vpn # sudo -u vpn ping www.google.com PING www.google.com (173.194.78.103) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from wg-in-f103.1e100.net (173.194.78.103): icmp_req=1 ttl=50 time=36.6 ms But it appears that the mark is being set, because if I add a rule to drop these packets in the firewall, it works: # iptables -t mangle -A OUTPUT -j DROP -m mark --mark 0x01 # sudo -u vpn ping www.google.com ping: unknown host www.google.com What am I missing? • BOINC error code -1200 when opening...

  I installed boinc 6.10.21 on my macosx 10.5 in order to upgrade from a 6.6 version that I was running today, and I am the admin user, and I was logged in as the admin user. As I was installing 6.10.21 I was asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc, and I said 'yes' to this. Then when I tried to open boinc I got a message like the following: "You currently are not authorized to manage the client. Either re-install and allow non-admin users or contact your administrator to add you to the 'boinc_master' user group." So I tried to reinstall first, and I was not asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc.. so I retried a few times and got no different result.. So I downloaded 6.10.43 and installed that, and again I was not asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc.. and when I tried to run boinc I got the same message like: "You currently are not authorized to manage the client. Either re-install and allow non-admin users or contact your administrator to add you to the 'boinc_master' user group." So I did a google search trying to figure out how to add my admin user to the bonic_master user group and found this which suggested I run the following in terminal: "sudo dscl . -append /Groups/boinc_master GroupMembership <your user's short name> CR" So I did this and now I get the following error: BOINC ownership or permissions are not set properly; please reinstall BOINC (Error code -1200) So I reinstall and I am ever asked the question about allowing non admin users again, and I still get this error message every after every reinstall attempt.. What should I do?..

• using pf for packet filtering and ipfw's dummynet for bandwidth limiting at the same time

  I would like to ask if it's fine to use pf for all packet filtering (including using altq for traffic shaping) and ipfw's dummynet for bandwidth limiting certain IPs or subnets at the same time. I am using FreeBSD 10 and I couldn't find a definitive answer to this. Googling returns such results as: It works It doesn't work Might work but it's not stable and not recommended It can work as long as you load the kernel modules in the right order It used to work but with recent FreeBSD versions it doesn't You can make it work provided you use a patch from pfsense Then there's a mention that this patch might had been merged back to FreeBSD, but I can't find it. One certain thing is that pfsense uses both firewalls simultaneously so the question is, is it possible with stock FreeBSD 10 (and where to obtain the patch if it's still necessary).
