    how do i organize country data (countries, states and cities etc) in mysql? cause every country has 3 tables: countries, states and cities. should i have each country in separate set of tables or should i have them all in these 3 tables? if i have all of them in same tables, im afraid that the amount of rows will be huge cause i tend to have a lot of countries! what is best practice for this?

    I have a large data file that is creatd from a shell script. Next script processes it by sorting and reading several times, that takes more than 14 hours, it is not viable. I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.

    Hi As i know, all the threads share memory location. For example a global variable changes in one thread will reflect in another thread. Since each thread has its own stack, the local variables that are created inside the thread is unique. In this case, why do we need to go for thread specific data mechanism?. I have tried converting the column to XML using CONVERT but it gives the error: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'CONVERT'.   • managed object subclasses are not generating implementation files and are incorrectly named

    In Xcode 4.6, I generated plenty of managed object subclass files without any problem. But now that I'm trying to do it in Xcode 5, it generates only a .h file. The header file has the correct properties, but it takes the name of my project, rather than the name of the core data entity I selected. Just to be sure I hadn't forgotten something, I carefully followed these steps . What could be going on? Thanks

    I've noticed that in recent versions of Firefox, some images are displayed even when I disable images (e.g., Google News). Apparently this is due to images being embedded in the code using the "data:image" specification. Does anyone know of a way to disable these images from being displayed? Thanks.
