• Wordpress Custom Query

  I have posts that use a custom field for start date and end date. Query_posts returns an array of posts that exist in the category I'm filtering. How do I query posts using this custom field that has date i.e. 03/11/2010 and not the full array. Pagination works on the full array so it returns all posts. I can use an if else to only show the posts newer that today, then pagination doesn't work. Would I have to build a custom mysql query?

  hello I just want to ask whether we can call a view method to a model? I know that we can call it on our controller in zend framework. Like if I want to call the url method of view on my controller I can call it like this $this->view->url(array(),''); and on the view we just can call it by $this->url(array(),''); But When I tried to call the same method on my model by $this->view->url(array(),''); it generates an error of call to undefined method url. Now I want to ask whether it is possible to call view method to a model? If yes then how? What Am I doing wrong. Thanks

  I have a mysql db and I have an automation script which modifies the data inside once a day. And, these columns may have changed by an user manually. What is the best approach to make the system only update the automated data, not the manually edited ones? I mean yes, flagging the cell which is manually edited is one way to do it, but I want to know if there's another way to accomplish this? Just curiosity.

• Zend Framework Autoloader question.

  In zend framework I register my namespace like this (in application.php): 'autoloaderNamespaces' => array( 'Cms_' ) And after this - I'd expect that Zend would always check that path in addition to Zend and ZendX paths if unknown class is called. But for some reason this doesn't work with for example view helpers. I still have to register a separate path for my view helpers even though view helper scripts are named according to Zend coding standards and are located in: Cms/View/Helper/ And this is how I register helper path in config file: view' => array( 'charset' => 'UTF-8', 'doctype' => 'XHTML1_TRANSITIONAL', 'helperPath' => array( 'Cms_View_Helper_' => 'Cms/View/Helper' ) ), So - I'm not sure why I have to register "Cms" namespace twice first through 'autoloaderNamespaces' and then through View "helperPath"? Shouldn't Cms namespace include Cms/View/Helper namespace? can someone plz clarify this:)

  I have a dictionary whose keys are strings and values are numpy arrays, e.g.: data = {'a': array([1,2,3]), 'b': array([4,5,6]), 'c': array([7,8,9])} I want to compute a statistic between all pairs of values in 'data' and build an n by x matrix that stores the result. Assume that I know the order of the keys, i.e. I have a list of "labels": labels = ['a', 'b', 'c'] What's the most efficient way to compute this matrix? I can compute the statistic for all pairs like this: result = [] for elt1, elt2 in itertools.product(labels, labels): result.append(compute_statistic(data[elt1], data[elt2])) But I want result to be a n by n matrix, corresponding to "labels" by "labels". How can I record the results as this matrix? thanks.

• Extracting data points from a matrix and saving them in different matrixes in MATLAB

  Hi, I have a 2D Matrix consisting of some coordinates as below(example): Data(X,Y): 45.987543423,5.35000964 52.987544223,5,98765234 Also I have an array consisting of some integers =0 , for example: Cluster(M) 2,0,3,1 each of these numbers in this array corresponds with a row of my 2D Matrix above.For example, it says that row one(coordinate) in the Data Matirx belongs to the cluster 2,second row belongs to cluster 0 and so on. Now I want to have each of the datapoint of each cluster in a separate matrix, for example I want to save datapoints belonging to cluster 1 in a separate matrix, cluster 2 in a separate matrix and so on,.... I can do them manually, but the problem is this has to be an automatic extraction. which means that the number of clusters(range of the numbers in the cluster array varies in each run) so I have to have a general algorithm that does this extraction for me. Can someone help me please? thanks

• Nothing displaying for Drupal main menu

  I'm trying to output the main_menu in to a custom theme on the page.tpl.php template however nothing is displaying when I add <?php print theme("links", $main_menu) ?> However when I do a var_dump on the $main_menu I get array(2) { ["menu-218"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(7) "" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } ["menu-335"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(6) "node/1" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } } What might I be doing wrong? • Basic help needed with pointers

  Hi, i asked some time ago on an account i cant remember how to manipulate basic pointers and someone gave me a really good demo for example char *ptr = hello (hello = a char array) so now *ptr is pointing at h ptr++ = moves the ptr to point at the next element, to get its value i do *ptr and that gives me e ok so far i hope :D but now i need to manipulate a char **ptr and was wondering how i do this in a way that mimmicks the effects of a 2d array? some basic tips would be much appreciated as i need to do an assignment that has a **ptr to immitate a 2d array and without knowing how it does this first means i cant even solve it on paper (for example, how do you dereference a **ptr, how do you get [x][y] values etc) thanks

  Given an array arr[] of integers, find out the difference between any two elements such that larger element appears after the smaller number in arr[]. If array is [ 7, 9, 5, 6, 3, 2 ] then returned value should be 2 (Diff between 7 and 9) My Algorithm: I thought of using D&C algorithm. Explanation 2, 3, 10, 6, 4, 8, 1, 7 then 2,3,10,6 and 4,8,1,7 then 2,3 and 10,6 and 4,8 and 1,7 then 2 and 3 10 and 6 4 and 8 1 and 7 Here as these elements will remain in same order, i will get the maximum difference, here it's 6. Now i will move back to merege these arrays and again find the difference between minimum of first block and maximum of second block and keep doing this till end. I am not able to implement this in my code. can anyone please provide a pseudo code for this?

• Trouble Copying custom class initialization

  I have a custom class of type NSObject that contains a single NSMutableArray. This class is called Mutable2DArray and is designed to emulate a 2 dimensional array of type NSMutableArray. There is a custom init method - (id)initWithX:(int)x Y:(int)y that asks for the dimensions for the array and allocates the required arrays within the only array the class owns. My issue is when I try to copy an instance of Mutable2DArray I get an error saying the copyWithZone is an unrecognized selector. I thought copy was a base method of NSObject so I'm confused why I cant create a copy of the instance like this: Mutable2DArray *Array1 = [[Mutable2DArray alloc] initWithX:10 Y:10]; Mutable2DArray *Array2 = [Array1 copy]; Am I missing something so obvious here?

The problem is that the data is completed correctly on the form but the images are not uploaded. Can anyone help with advices/code/guidance?

Then create function 'insert' to put all the data into the array? As some book said, linked list should be static const, is it need to create another function to expand the list? Because the lookup table should be used in a microcontroller, it only needs to finish the operation of putting the data into the array and whenever want to find the data, it will be fast and easy to search.   Hello all, I am a newb to Android and Java and want to write a funtion that will display a list based on a varable that I pass to the function. The function is below and the code below creates an array out of a string called type, but what I want to do is pass it a variable string and have it build a list based on that string. So if I wanted the type list I would say list_it("type") But if I try something like getResources().getStringArray(R.array.thelist); it doesn't work. • Determining the order of a list of numbers (possibly without sorting)

  I have an array of unique integers (e.g. val[i]), in arbitrary order, and I would like to populate another array (ord[i]) with the the sorted indexes of the integers. In other words, val[ord[i]] is in sorted order for increasing i. Right now, I just fill in ord with 0, ..., N, then sort it based on the value array, but I am wondering if we can be more efficient about it since ord is not populated to begin with. This is more of a question out of curiousity; I don't really care about the extra overhead from having to prepopulate a list and then sort it (it's small, I use insertion sort). This may be a silly question with an obvious answer, but I couldn't find anything online.

• Where to put a recursive function when following MVC?

  Hello, I have a recursive function being used to generate a menu on my site. The function is calling a database for each level of children in the menu, and generating html for them. I've currently put this function in a Model part of the code, however, I feel that generating html in the model goes against the MVC. I didn't put it in a Controller because I didn't want to have database calls or HTML generation there. I didn't put it in a View because I didn't want database calls there either. Is the 'correct' way of tackling this problem to have a Controller call a recursive function in a Model that returns a 2d array representing the menu. Then pass the array to a view which has it's own recursive function for generating html from the array?

• sort giving strange results

  I have an array of email addresses that I am trying to sort, but I'm getting odd results. Here is what I mean: sort($array); print_r($array); ...[79] => 91******@******.com [80] => 9l***@**********.com [81] => ps*******@**********.com [82] => a.c******@*****.com [83] => a.d****@*****.com... What would cause that email beginning with p's to be mixed in after the numbers and before the A's? I removed that email address from the database and replaced it with "testing" and then "testing" appeared in the same position.

The problem is that I would like to order them ascending by distance which is the result of equation that takes homelat and homelon from the users table and lat, lng from locations table.(basically it takes lattitude and longitude of one point and another and computes the distance between these points). • Radius of multiple latitude/longitude points

  I have a program that takes as input an array of lat/long points. I need to perform a check on that array to ensure that all of the points are within a certain radius. So, for example, the maximum radius I will allow is 100 miles. Given an array of lat/long (coming from a MySQL database, could be 10 points could be 10000) I need to figure out if they will all fit in a circle with radius of 100 miles. Kinda stumped on how to approach this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  in my pre_controller hook i have this code for doctrine: $manager = Doctrine_Manager::getInstance(); $conn = Doctrine_Manager::connection($db[$active_group][‘dsn’]); then in my controller i have this code to use doctrine connection i’ve created: $conn-export-createTable(‘test’, array(‘name’ = array(‘type’ = ‘string’))); $conn-execute(‘INSERT INTO test (name) VALUES (?)’, array(‘jwage’)); but $conn is undefined so it wont work. if i put the code in the pre_controller hook it will work. how can i make variables i declare in hooks available for all controllers so that i dont have to create a new connection all the time?

  Hi, I am trying to display country codes(+91, +60, +01) in the combobox. Although the dataprovider(array) contains + sign but is removed.   I have a class (from NSObject) that contains: NSString name int position float speed I then create an array (NSMutableArray) of objects from this class. I would like to then sort the array by the 'speed' value, which is a float. I initially has the float value as an NSNumber and the int as NSInteger, and I was successfully sorting with: [myMutableArray sortUsingFunction:compareSelector context:@selector(position)]; where myMutableArray is my array of objects. here is the function: static int compareSelector(id p1, id p2, void *context) { SEL methodSelector = (SEL)context; id value1 = [p1 performSelector:methodSelector]; id value2 = [p2 performSelector:methodSelector]; return [value1 compare:value2]; } Now that I am using int instead of NSInteger, the above code does not work.
