  • Sharepoint Discussion Board w/ attachments expiration

    I want to set a retention policy (DB Settings - Information Management Policy Settings) on a discussion board, but does the attachment get deleted as well? Also, I have a discussion board retention policy right now that isn't working properly. The criteria is: Last Updated + 30 days Delete There are plenty of dicussion items that are long past "Last Updated". Any ideas why?

  • Acer OrbiCam in Acer 5102WLMI with Windows 7 Pro won't work?

    My camera seems to open up but shuts down right away without showing any picture. the message is Windows is checking for solutions but never finds any. I have tried several different drivers and tried re-installing OrbiCam software several times. Anyone know ofany drivers or software that might work or have any ideas on how to fix it?

  • Can't see any entries on "File Types" tab on Windows 7's Desktop Search

    For some reason, Windows Desktop Search (included with Windows 7.0) now no longer shows any file types on the "Advanced Options" dialog box. Any ideas on how to fix this? WDS claims to be indexing...but I'm not sure what it's actually indexing right now. I should also add that when I try to add a file type, nothing shows up or is ever actually added. If I login as a different user on the same system, everything appears normally.

    Is it possible to do the following in Ubuntu? If so can someone point me in the right direction. Say you want to set a keyboard shortcut to do the following: For examples sake, set Alt+F to open Firefox and maximize it, but only if Firefox is not already running. If it is running and not maximized, then maximize the most recently touched Firefox window. If it is maximized, then minimize Firefox. Thanks, Joe

  • Preventing Thunderbird to add .txt to attachments on open

    How can I prevent Thunderbird to add the extension .txt to a file when open the attachment. I have the problem with .patch files which I want look with notepad++. The problem is that notepad++ does not detect the right formating for the file because the extension is .txt. If I drag the file on the desktop an double click all is working. Why change Thunderbird the file name on opening? I am working on Windows 7.

    I'm trying to establish a VPN connection between our Windows 2008 R2 server and a client's SonicWall device. The problem is, I'm not entirely sure where to start. I thought I could just add it to RRAS but this doesn't appear to work (times out), I'm not entirely sure I did that right anyway. My server is hosted on an EC2 instance if that matters. My question then is how should I go about establishing this type of connection?

  • How to copy web page text and images to MS Word

    From time to time I want to copy and paste a portion of a web document (viewed in both IE Explorer 7 and 8) into MS Word 2007. The selected text copies and pastes fine, but I am left with only place holders for the images (png). Right clicking the image and clicking copy, then pasting into MS Word doesn't work either. If I paste the image into MS Paint and copy it from there, I can paste it into the Word document. What gives?

    SQL Server can be connected from local system but can not be connected from remote system in the network. The error code is 40 from Visual Studio and 1326 when I try to connect to SQL Server from Management Studio. Firewall isn't the problem TCP/IP connection is enabled from SQL Server There are 2 pc terminals that can connect to the SQL Server but the 3th one cannot and using the same connection strings so the connection string is right It is SQL server 2000 any help will be appreciated thanks

  • I lost the menu inside of Explorer (file browser) under Windows XP

    The question says it all. Inside of the file explorer under Windows XP, I lost all menu items from the top, as well as the toolbars. And right-clicking only gives me the file/directory context menu, nothing to restore the toolbar or the menu. Help. I don't use Windows so much (I much prefer linux), so I don't know all the latest tricks and hacks. Merci :-)

    Hi guys, I'm trying to view websites with flash content in IE on a window mobile 6.5 device[HTC touch HD2].It says it has not got the right flash player.i tried to install the player but the device giving me an error,its saying the installer is not a valid pocket pc application.     (sorry, i think my jargon is a bit off there, not sure) I'm trying to work out what's going on with my podcasts not downloading properly, to see whether it was my pod-catching software or the connection i tried doing a ping on the podcast URL e.g. www.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/feeds/ockham.xml and it failed (i got "could not find host"), it works for the first part of it though www.abc.net.au I can get to the xml page in a web browser though, and ping doesn't work on the podcasts which have been downloading right either.

    Is there a way I can get this behavior on Mac OS? alt + right-click-drag will resize the window, relative to where you've clicked within the window and the window's center alt + left-click-drag will move the window, regardless of where you've clicked within the window.     I've pointed the command-line to the right codepage (chcp 65001), but there's a lot of Unicode characters that Consolas and Lucida Console can't show. Specifically, I want the printable IPA characters to show up. It's not important to fix multi-codepoint glyphs, although it would be nice. How can I get such a font and install it for the command-line? Below is an example of some characters that can't be rendered.

  • Open dialog box won't show files in libraries, but explorer will

    I have the weirdest problem when trying to open or save files. When I try to get to "My Documents" through the "Libraries" side link it won't show any of my files. It will show them if I go around from the C:// drive into the user files though. I thought it was because I didn't have the right location defined for the "Libraries" shortcut, but when I use "Explorer" to open my "Libraries" it shows all the files. Any ideas?

    I Installed wamp in windows 7 pro, and copied a joomla live site. Everything seems working well except that it doesn't load the images on the page. Even when I try to access in directly: localhost/logo.png Im getting an 403 Forbidden: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /logo.png on this server. Solutions I have tried are: Using icacls to grant priviledge Folder Permissions Issue in Windows 7 manually set the permission by right clicking the image and editing the security.

    I right-click on a top-level folder in Windows Explorer. I choose Properties Security tab Advanced Change Permissions. I check "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" Apply. I get a Windows Security dialog that says, "Setting security information on" the list of objects that flashes by. But now the "Replace all child object permissions" box is unchecked. What is happening here?
