  • jQuery toggle menu dropdown

    I am working on a menu navigation that has parent horizontal bar as static and a vertical accordion child menu that interacts with the parent. I have them working fine except one part where I want to toggle show() and hide() child menu when clicked on the same parent menu item. I've looked at toggle() jQuery API but couldn't get it working properly.   • How do I set font size to 0px in IE6?

    I have an unordered list, I'm trying to hide the text in the list. I can do this 2 ways that i know of: font-color: transparent; font-size: 0px; I prefer the 0px method as its not selectable. This issue is neither way works in IE6. The first way just doesn't work in IE6 at all, the 2nd leave a 1PX high font. Is there a way to hide the text in IE6? This is a visual thing, I know you can read the text by reading the source and that is OK, I just need it to visually not be there.

  • Images not displaying if using file:///c:/

    I am using jQuery and would like to display the images from my PC, rather than hosting them. I have the following: /* works fine: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(images/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } /* does not work: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } When I put file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png in a browser, it displays the actual image beautifully. Both locations are valid image locations. Could this not working be to do with the image being a sprite? Does anyone have any ideas on this one? Many thanks.

  • Toggle DIV and SPAN text onclick

    I have been trying to mimic this website http://www.designrattan.co.uk/daybed/apple for a while now. I need to make a page where the customer can click "View 360" and then it changes the DIV to show the product 360 (for which I already have the code for). I also need to make it so that when it is clicked the span text then changes to "Back to Image" I have tried many times and have failed to get the Javascript code and HTML to work well together. My efforts can be seen here: http://designliving.tk/winchester-rattan-garden-round-table-set As you can see it is a complete fail as it doesn't change the DIV it just displays a new one. Also when you click the button it then changes to text instead of a new button.   • Format table header

    I have a table with slanted text in the header row, the only problem is that the text still makes the width of the columns way to large. Is there any way to squish together the table columns so that they are about the width of the select boxes? Or is there a way to place the text there without it in the header and maybe just use a <div> or <p>?   • make img height 100% of td

    I'm creating an HTML email and since background images can't be used on anything but <body> thought I could get around this by making a border image 100% height within a cell. Perhaps it was wishful thinking? I've searched at the solutions that worked in the past no longer work in modern browsers. Is there any special trick to making this happen without setting a hard height for the cell?   • Hidden links are still clickable on the Android browser

    I've got a contextual menu that appears when a button is clicked. This menu has some links and after some seconds is hidden again. The problem is that after the menu has disappeared the links are still there. They are not shown but are clickable and the green border appears. And after some seconds they disappear. I've tryied many ways of hiding the menu: display: none, visibility: hidden, width: 0, height: 0, jquery hide, jquery fadeout... but none worked. Also hidding the links. Does anyone have a idea about what's happening? With the rest of the browsers it works without problem Thanks

  • Why does this jQuery dropdown menu display subcategory selections only for certain top-level categories?

    I'm trying to implement a dropdown menu based on a jQuery plugin from Filament Group: http://jsfiddle.net/chunkymonkey/Pr8k4/ What I am having difficulty fixing is a bug where certain categories can be expanded to show their subcategories while others show nothing when opened up. For example: Alternative Rock can be expanded to show its multiple subcategories . . . BUT . . . World Music, which has equally many subcategories, shows no subcategories when expanded. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me figure out what's causing this. Thanks. UPDATE: Just noticed this problem may be Chrome-specific(??). I just tested it in IE8 and Firefox and it seems to work correctly in both.

  • Get back the default browser styling for input fields

    I need to style all the input fields but one. So i have set a rule for all the inputs on the site. For the seachfield i need to use the browser default, so i was thinking i could just inherit all the values i have set for the general input fields.   • Firefox can not layout nested tables properly?

    I want to implement a collapsible menu. I plan to use table component to simulate a menu, and nest a sub table into a table cell to simulate a sub menu. Other browsers will calculate the offset base on the level 2 menu, that works as expected. Is it a bug in Firefox? If so how can I work around it? I want my code to have the same behavior in all major browsers.

  • <a> with an inner <span> not triggering :active state in IE

    I want to style the :active state of a button that is represented by an . The tag has an inner (beacuse I want to add an icon to this button). I notice the :active state is triggered properly in everything but Internet Explorer. In IE, it appears that the area around the (the 's padding) triggers that :active state, but when clicking directly on the text within the , the :active state is not triggered. Is there a way to fix this without resorting to Javascript?

    I have div that I need to be present on every page, yet at a different length depending on the exact page. So far, I have this: <div class="above <?php if (is_page(12)) echo 'short'; ?>"> //content </div><!-- end above --> How do I go about adding something to the avail of <?php if (is_page(24, 26, 28)) echo 'med'; ?> (on page 12 I need the "short" length, and on pages 24, 26, 28 I need the "med" length of the div) Any help is appreciated. How can I set the style for only certain links, defined by the class or id of their container?
