  Hi, everyone: By now, I hope you would have a chance to review the sample applications and try to deploy it.  This is a great way to get started on learning ADF Mobile.  To help you getting started, here is a central list of "steps to get up to speed on ADF Mobile" and related resources that can help you developing your mobile application. Check out the ADF Mobile Landing Page on the Oracle Technology Network. View this introductory video. Read this Data Sheet and FAQ on ADF Mobile. JDeveloper 11.1.2.3 Download. Download the generic version of JDeveloper for installation on Mac. Note that there are workarounds required to install JDeveloper on a Mac. Download ADF Mobile Extension from JDeveloper Update Center or Here. Please note you will need to configure JDeveloper for Internet access (In HTTP Proxy preferences) in order the install the extension, as the installation process will prompt you for a license that's linked off Oracle's web site. View this end-to-end application creation video. View this end-to-end iOS deployment video if you are developing for iOS devices. Configure your development environment, including location of the SDK, etc in JDeveloper-Tools-Preferences-ADF Mobile dialog box.  The two videos above should cover some of these configuration steps. Check out the sample applications shipped with JDeveloper, and then deploy them to simulator/devices using the steps outlined in the video above.  This blog entry outlines all sample applications shipped with JDeveloper. Develop a simple mobile application by following this tutorial.   The only thing stopping me from making ubuntu 12.04 my main os is that a lot of programs I use on windows 7 and mac aren't available for download on ubuntu. Why don't popular software programs like photoshop or world of warcraft support linux? Also - Would a company have to create the program (ex photoshop) for every possible distro(gentoo, arch linux, ubuntu, etc...), or would they just have to make one binary and it would work across all distros?

  I am trying to write a script that executes differently depending on the currently active program, and I am wondering if there is any way to find this programatically. For example, I come from the Mac world, and in Apple's Applescript you can do the following: set appPath to the path to the frontmost application set appName to the name of file appPath and that will give you the name of the currently running application.   I've already spent about 2 hours searching google and trying various tools but either they don't do indent tags per say or they aren't HTML5 compatible such as the famous HTML tidy which was last updated 3 years ago… N.B. I don't want to apply this to the source of a page (like PHP or JS would do) but to the code in the editor so that a clear hierarchy appears between tags. Ideally I'd like a Mac OS X tool but I'll take any online tool and in last resot a Wine compatible one. P.S. at the moment I use Coda from Panic

  I'm trying to view the entire contents of my iPhone in Ubuntu 10.04. I'm able to mount and view the digital media folders, but I'm looking for behavior more like the Mac/Windows iExplorer app that will list the /var folder as well as Applications, etc rather than just making it look like an external filesystem. I've found a few options that require jailbreak but I'd rather not go that route if it's at all possible. Thanks!
