  • SharePoint 2010 Server Configuration Error -> "Cannot connect to database master"

    I recieve the following error when I try to configure SharePoint 2010 Server: "Cannot connect to the database master at SQL server at [computer.domain]. The database might not exist, or the current user does not have permission to connect to it."   • how to merge stripped symbols with binary?

    I compiled the Qt Framework with debugging enabled, but the script stripped the debugging symbols from the libraries and saved them as *.debug files -- just like here. Sadly I need these symbols inside the .so files, so I can continue working with them. There seems no way to teach my debugger to load external (non-PDB) symbols. So another way of solving my problem might be converting the .debug files to PDB format, which might also be a problem. Thank you very much!

  • Proxy via Telnet

    I know telnet is insecure and all, but I'm stuck using it because ssh is blocked. I know how to setup ssh to bind the connection to a local port, is there a way to do this with telnet? For example, if I am using an ssh connection, I would bind it to port 999 like this: ssh -D 999 [email protected] -N -C I've tried using the -b command in linux, but to no avail. Is this even possible? This is what I've tried: telnet host.com -b 999 I'm sorry if the answer is obvious, but I've done a lot of research and testing and I can't seem to figure this out. NOTE: I plan on telling the admin if I can find a way to get this to work, this is based off of simple curiosity and not malicious intent. If I can't bind a telnet port, is there a way to tunnel an ssh connection through telnet?

  • Asynchronous readback from opengl front buffer using multiple PBO's

    I am developing an application that needs to read back the whole frame from the front buffer of an openGL application. I can hijack the application's opengl library and insert my code on swapbuffers. At the moment I am successfully using a simple but excruciating slow glReadPixels command without PBO's. Now I read about using multiple PBO's to speed things up. While I think I've found enough resources to actually program that (isn't that hard), I have some operational questions left. I would do something like this: create a series (e.g. 3) of PBO's use glReadPixels in my swapBuffers override to read data from front buffer to a PBO (should be fast and non-blocking, right?) Create a seperate thread to call glMapBufferARB, once per PBO after a glReadPixels, because this will block until the pixels are in client memory. Process the data from step 3. Now my main concern is of course in steps 2 and 3. I read about glReadPixels used on PBO's being non-blocking, will this be an issue if I issue new opengl commands after that very fast? Will those opengl commands block? Or will they continue (my guess), and if so, I guess only swapbuffers can be a problem, will this one stall or will glReadPixels from front buffer be many times faster than swapping (about each 15-30ms) or, worst case scenario, will swapbuffers be executed while glReadPixels is still reading data to the PBO? My current guess is this logic will do something like this: copy FRONT_BUFFER - generic place in VRAM, copy VRAM-RAM. But I have no idea which of those 2 is the real bottleneck and more, what the influence on the normal opengl command stream is. Then in step 3. Is it wise to do this asynchronously in a thread separated from normal opengl logic? At the moment I think not, It seems you have to restore buffer operations to normal after doing this and I can't install synchronization objects in the original code to temporarily block those. So I think my best option is to define a certain swapbuffer delay before reading them out, so e.g. calling glReadPixels on PBO i%3 and glMapBufferARB on PBO (i+2)%3 in the same thread, resulting in a delay of 2 frames. Also, when I call glMapBufferARB to use data in client memory, will this be the bottleneck or will glReadPixels (asynchronously) be the bottleneck? And finally, if you have some better ideas to speed up frame readback from GPU in opengl, please tell me, because this is a painful bottleneck in my current system. I hope my question is clear enough, I know the answer will probably also be somewhere on the internet but I mostly came up with results that used PBO's to keep buffers in video memory and do processing there. I really need to read back the front buffer to RAM and I do not find any clear explanations about performance in that case (which I need, I cannot rely on "it's faster", I need to explain why it's faster).   • Issues with Rsync on a NAS

    I'm trying to rsync a few external hard drives over to my new Nas DS412+ but I'm noticing it's stupid slow. I'm trying it via mounting the backup folder via afb on a Mac. I was told this may be the wrong way to do it. I recently just turned on "network backup" on the Synology and am now running rsync over ssh like: rsync -ar --progress . admin@localip:/backup/path Is this the right way to do it now? Will it be faster? Is there something else I can do to make it faster? Edit: I'm getting a ton of: "failed to set permissions" "failed to set times" now that I run it. What do I do?

  • Share background view between tabs on a UITabBarController

    Is it possible to have the same background between tabs on a UITabBarController without having to set the same background on all the views? I want to put a view in the background that periodically does a very short, non-resource intensive animation. When switching tabs, I'd like that animation to persist. I've read how to do it for UINavigationControllers, but haven't found any tips for a UITabBarController.

What are some alternative hash functions that perhaps use every letter in the alphabet as well as integers that are perhaps shorter in string length and have low collision rates? Thanks!

    Hello Experts, I installed Flash media server 3.5 in windows 7 home basic.it installed properly. When i try to open the media server,and not showing in its FMS ADMIN CONSOLE there. I have beeen checking the windows services, it shows flash media server is running.i have installed FMS in Default port (1935,1111).i have MCAFEE Antivirus.1st time it blocks the My FMs then i Allowed it & after that there is no issue.i am not getting what is the problem,is anything blocking the FMS.Even I am not able to start/see the control panel of FMS (Flash media server). I am guessing it is a port problem,Is it or any firewall issue?Please Suggest.

  • Can't access internet using a domain joined computer outside the domain environment

    We had an unused box at work so took it home. It had been joined to the domain and hasn't been unjoined. When I try to use it at home (logging in with a local admin account) I can't seem to access internet pages. It gets correct IP and gateway for the local network and correct DNS servers for the home ADSL connection. I can happily ping the home router (which doesn't have any tricky firewall settings). Can't seem to ping outside, get any DNS to resolve, or (obviously) get any web pages. Is there some problem here with this having been joined to the domain?

  • Control third check box based on the state of the first two using jquery

    I have three check boxes and need to disable the third if either and/or of the other two are checked. I'm sure there's a easier way than what I have currently. It's turning into what I believe is a mess and I'm hoping that someone with more jquery knowledge can shine the light here. I don't understand why. This works, but one of the requirements is that a non programmer should be able to edit and maintain this. Ideally it'd be great if he could just add new check boxes to the html and it would work. The class for these are define and as far as I know can't be changed. The last check box in the list of check boxes will disable if any of the ones above are selected. Like wise if the last check box is selected, it will disable all the ones above it. I haven't even begun writing and testing that portion as this is quickly becoming too complicated for a non programmer to handle. I myself am more of a PHP coder than a js, let alone jquery, coder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Share laptop Wi-Fi with router set up as access point via ethernet cables

    I have an ADSL modem which serves as a wireless router. There's a laptop connected to it through cable. On the other room I have a laptop which is connected through the router wirelessly. Since I have other appliances that need to get connected but are not Wi-Fi capable I have another Wi-Fi router. How can I share the second laptop's Wi-Fi with the second router so that the router can then serve as an access point to give internet to my other appliances through ethernet cables? I want something like this: INTERNETMODEM (WIFI)LAPTOP 1 (WIFI)LAPTOP 2 (WIFI)Router 2 (ETHERNET)DREAMBOX & WDTV What I've tried so far is opened the admin interface of router 2 then set static IP 192.168.100.13 and disabled the DHCP. The DHCP of the main router starts with 192.168.100.1 then I hooked up router 2 with the laptop 2 through Cat5 cable but for some reason it's not working.

  • Trying To Uninstall Exchange 2007 From Server - Stuck On "Mailbox Role Checks"

    Hi All, I am trying to uninstall Exchange 2007 on a secodary server which has been decommissioned for quite a while (cleaning up after an old Network Admin). The only roll the server had was "Mailbox Role" (the primary server also has this). I have tried uninstalling using Programs and Features GUI tool but that hung on Mailbox Role Checks. I then tried uninstalling Exchange by running Setup.com /mode:uninstall. It has been stuck on 1% of "Mailbox Role Checks" for over 3 hours now. Is there any other options I have for uninstalling Exchange 2007 so the old server can be removed from the Exchange Management console?

    A lot of descriptions of Pseudo LRU algorithms involve using a binary search tree, and setting flags to "point away" from the node you're searching for every time you access the tree. This leads to a reasonable approximation of LRU. However, it seems from the descriptions that all of the nodes deemed LRU would be leaf nodes. Is there a pseudo-LRU algorithm that deals with a static tree that will still perform reasonably well, while determining that non-leaf nodes are suitable LRU candidates?

  • Need help connecting to NAS externally-port forwarding and DDNS newbie

    Hi folks, I just picked up a synology NAS, and I'm loving it for internal use, but I want to be able to access the NAS externally-both from my iPhone (3G) and from the net. I have a Linksys WRT54G-TM router. My first question is whether I have set up the dyndns correctly. On my computer that is on my network, if I put in mydomain.dyndns.org, I am taken to a password popup and when I enter my router login and password, my router admin page opens up. On the same computer, I get the same results if I use my external IP address, and if I use my internal IP 192.168.0.1 So that is all as expected. However, when I go to my iphone and turn off wifi, and try to connect with 3g to the external IP or the dnydns domain, I just get an error "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding". What's up?

I works great currently, but I would like to add some security: People from LAN should be able to Read files present and Add new ones, but not delete files. I want to keep this privilege for me ;-) How should-I do this? I have set up a "admin" account having full access even to deletion. There is just left to configure the "guest" acount.     Possible Duplicate: Ubuntu OpenLDAP and Mac OS X Roaming Profiles I've installed slapd on Ubuntu 12 after a long long day of trial and error. I've added the apple.ldif schema, and the samba.ldif schema, plus a test user. Last week, I had installed slapd on Ubuntu 11, and was able to authenticate against it from OS X Lion after finding the following blog post: Fixing OpenLDAP Authentication on OS X Lion This suggests running the following commands to fix the authentication problem /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "add ':module options:ldap:Denied SASL Methods:' string CRAM-MD5" /Library/Preferences/OpenDirectory/Configurations/LDAPv3/yourldapserver.plist /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "add ':module options:ldap:Denied SASL Methods:' string NTLM" /Library/Preferences/OpenDirectory/Configurations/LDAPv3/yourldapserver.plist /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "add ':module options:ldap:Denied SASL Methods:' string GSSAPI" /Library/Preferences/OpenDirectory/Configurations/LDAPv3/yourldapserver.plist However, I ran these commands on OS X Mountain Lion, and I am still unable to authenticate. I can't even use the Directory Editor app to examine the AD. I am however able to bind to the server via python-ldap's ldap.simple_bind_s('cn=admin,dc=foo,dc=net,'secret'). The error I am getting when trying to use Director Editor is Error Code (5000)
