• Facebook canvas app showing wordpress blog in iframe - how to link to specific pages?

  Sorry for the cumbersome title. I have a Facebook canvas app that is call up a Wordpress site in an iFrame. This is fine and works as hoped but is there a way to link directly to a page within it? For example the page I want to reach is actually: www.blog.com/monkeys/ But I want to be able to use a link like this: www.facebook.com/monkeyblogapp/app_243495067635997/monkeys/ So that I can give out that URL and get people to see the right bit of content but within the Facebook environment. I have seen people mention callback urls (like this one which as far as I can tell just means having the app addresses match the website Direct links to pages in Facebook iFrame application?) but that doesn't work. Over the last several years C# has extended it's general purpose features by introducing more and more functional language features: LINQ (list comprehension), Lamdas, Closures, Anonymous Delegates and more... Given C#'s adoption of these functional features and F#'s taxonomy as an impure functional language (it allows YOU to access framework libraries or change shared state when a function is called if you want to) there is a strong similarity between the two languages although each has it's own polar opposite primary emphasis. I'm interested in any successful models employing these two languages in your production polyglot programs and also the areas within production software (web apps, client apps, server apps) you have written in F# in the past year or so that you would previously have written in C#. • Averaging corrupted images to eliminate the noise in Matlab

  Hi all As you can get it from the title, I want to average some .jpg images which are corrupted by zero-mean Gaussian additive. After searching over internet, I figured out to add image matrices and divide the sum by the # of matrices. However the resultant image is totally black. Normally when the number of image increases then the resultant image gets better. But When I use more images it gets darker. • Having issues when trying to insert an ajax response which is an html block into an element on IE 8

  Hello Everyone just like my title states, I am having issues with IE8 and innerHTML. For whatever reason, when I make an ajax call which returns an html block and try to insert it into an element using innerHTML, the browser gives me an error "Unknown Error Code: 0". The interesting part of this is that, if the message response does not have html element, innerHTML works. My code is like so: setTimeout(function() { element.innerHTML = context.response.message; }, 1000).bind(context) WORKS: context.response.message = 'String'; Does not WORK: context.response.message = '<p>String</p>';

• Why does SQLite not bring back any results from my database

  This is my first SQLite based iPhone app and I am trying to get it to read a menu hierarchy from my database. • How to highlight text automatically inside an UIAlertView text field

  Hello everyone I have an UIAlertView with a textfield that shows a default value and two buttons, one to cancel and the other one to confirm. • Order database results by bayesian rating

  I'm not sure this is even possible, but I need a confirmation before doing it the "ugly" way :) So, the "results" are posts inside a database which are stored like this: the posts table, which contains all the important stuff, like the ID, the title, the content the post meta table, which contains additional post data, like the rating (this_rating) and the number of votes (this_num_votes). This data is stored in pairs, the table has 3 columns: post ID / key / value. It's basically the WordPress table structure. What I want is to pull out the highest rated posts, sorted based on this formula: br = ( (avg_num_votes * avg_rating) + (this_num_votes * this_rating) ) / (avg_num_votes + this_num_votes) which I stole form here. avg_num_votes and avg_rating are known variables (they get updated on each vote), so they don't need to be calculated. Can this be done with a mysql query? Or do I need to get all the posts and do the sorting with PHP?

  Running ActiveState Perl 5.8.8 on WinXP. As the title suggests, I'd like to output an XML file as UTF-8 with UNIX line endings. I've looked at the PerlDoc for binmode, but am unsure of the exact syntax (if I'm not barking up the wrong tree). • JDBC ResultSet.getString Before/After Start/End of ResultSet Exception

  I have done a lot of searching about this topic through Google but I have yet to find someone using getString() in the way that I am using it so I have not been able to fix this issue in the normal ways that are suggested. What I am trying to do is to obtain all of the information from the database and then use it to populate a table model within the program. I do so by obtaining the data with getString and place it into a String[] object: try { while (rSet.next()) { String row[] = {rSet.getString("DonorName"),rSet.getString("DonorCharity"),((String)rSet.getString("DonationAmount"))}; model.addRow(row); } } However I am always getting a dialog error message stating those error messages in the title: Exception: Before start of result set Exception: After end of result set The data is still added and everything works correctly but it is just annoying to have to dismiss those message windows.   I'm running into problems trying to pass absolute URIs as parameters with clean URLs enabled. I created a very, very simple calculator example which passes Result object resulting from actions on request bean (CalculatorRequestBean) from 5th phase as initializing value for new instance of request bean initialized in next phase lifecycle. In fact - in production environment we need to pass much more complicated data object which is not as primitive as Result defined below. • jquery lightbox inline - without popup

  i like jquery lightbox control looks nice and shows me a title one 1 of x images etc. I need exactly the same thing but without pop up. So whas is now visible after i click thumnail of image i want it to by visible as inline content somewhere on my page with first image loaded and then i could just use next prev. of course in this case, close would not be applicable. Does anybode know such a jquery plugin or how to change lightbox to work withoud popup? Thanks.

  (Appologies for the poor title. I'm open to suggestions for a better one. "Language-gnostic", perhaps?) Does there exist a diff utility (preferably *nix-based) that will diff files based on how a (selectable) language compiler would view the code? For example, to a Python compiler, these two 'graphs are identical: # The quick brown fox jumped vs: # The quick brown # fox jumped Telling most diffs (at least the one's I'm familiar with) to ignore spaces and linebreaks still causes them to flag a difference due to the extra '#'. "Language-sensitivity" would sure help to cut down on the "noise". Ideally, it would work in xemacs....(<-- probably pushing my luck? :-)

• MVC - Same URL, multiple views

  Hi, Is it considered bad practice to have multiple views for same URL in MVC, based on different user roles? For example: http://www.domain.com/ViewProductID/123 will show a "normal" product page for a regular user and it will show an "enhanced" (product stats, ability to edit title etc..) version to someone logged in as admin. If it's bad practice, why? If it's ok, what's the best way to implement it? 2 separate templates or 1 template scattered with if..else? Thanks!

• PHP Redirect one page to another server without showing URL

I am writing a back end for storing volunteer information for some friends, they have their own website to which I can add a volunteer.php page. What I want is for that page to redirect to a page on my server showing the form for the users to fill in, I would prefer the ugly URL of my site not to show. Is there an easy way to do this?
