  • How can I use linq to initialize an array of repeated elements?

    At present, I'm using something like this to build a list of 10 objects: myList = (from _ in Enumerable.Range(0, 9) select new MyObject {...}).toList() This is based off my python background, where I'd write: myList = [MyObject(...) for _ in range(10)] Note that I want my list to contain 10 instances of my object, not the same instance 10 times. Is this still a sensible way to do things in C#? Is there a cost to doing it this way over a simple for loop?

    I have built a a higcharts charts and I am displaying them one at a time on mouseover. The jquery creates a floting div (depending on the cursor) with a border line 1px solid black and then the highchart method is being called to draw the chart. The thing is that highcharts exceed and left and bottom border is not shown. I tired 'margin' : chart: { renderTo: 'graph', defaultSeriesType: 'line', zoomType: 'x', margin: [ 10, 10, 10, 10] }, and still it does the same thing.

Recently I typed in ezplot('x^y - y^x', [-100 100 -100 100]); and this is what I got; Can anyone please tell me whatever is happening ? for lower scaling of x and y ( [ -10 10 -10 10]) there are more patterns in the 2nd 3rd and 4th quadrants. I was not very sure of the shape of curve, but I did not expect this !

    well, i have network that each proxy (lets assume we have 200 proxies), send UDP packages every constant amount of time. (let assume 10 seconds) to constant amount of hosts (lets assume 10) my question is how will 6 * 10 seconds * 200 proxies * 10 target hosts = 120,000 UDP roundtrip communication per minute will affect my network, in terms of available connections, speed, stability, UDP package loss rate etc... can anyone please refer me to some links on this issue ? thanks

Now, if that is true, why doesn't the loop just run continuously? I mean, even if you were to divide 0 by 10 then that would still extract a number. If the user was to input "50607", it would first cut off the "7", then the "0", and so on and so on, but why does it exit the loop after removing the "5". Wouldn't the response after the "5" be the same as the "0" between the 5 and the 6 to the program?

    How can I scale a set of values to fit a new range if they include negative numbers? For example, I have a set of numbers (-10, -9, 1, 4, 10) which have to scaled to a range [0 1], such that -10 maps to 0, and 10 maps to 1. The regular method for an arbitrary number 'x' would be: (x - from_min) * (to_max - to_min) / (from_max - from_min) + to_min but this does not work for negative numbers. Any help is appreciated.     I have a nginx with geoip, but it is not working rightly. The issue is the next: Nginx are getting geodata from $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] instead of $_SERVER['HTTP_X_HAPROXY_IP'], which have the real client ip.
