• Override l() function in Drupal

  I'm currently working on a Drupal site (6.*), which when in production mode will be accessed through some kind of http proxy, which means I will have to rewrite all the links for my custom theme if the $_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER'] variable is set to the domain people will access the site from. The site has a lot of internal linking, mostly through Views. My thought is that the easiest way to solve this would be to hook into the url() and/or the l() functions and post process the url before returning it if HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER is set. My problem is that I can't figure out how to hook into these functions, or if it's even possible without touching the core, has anyone had to do this? How did you solve it?

• Detecting user-activity on mac os x

  I use the function "IOPMSchedulePowerEvent" to schedule Sleep or Wake-Events and registered my daemon with "IORegisterForSystemPower" to receive power-state-changes. Everything works fine! When system going sleep and later waking up at scheduled time, my daemon do some work, and after it system should going sleep again. Now my questions: How can i detect, if the system was awaked by user or by the scheduled time? How can i detect, if a user currently working with the system, so the daemon have not to put it in sleep-mode??? Thanks Nobik

• Persisting sensitve data in asp.net, odd implementation

  For reasons not in scope of this question I have implemented a .net project in an iframe which runs from a classic asp page. The classic asp site persisted a few sensitive values by hitting the db on each page. I have passed there variables as xml to the aspx page, now I need to make these values available on any page of this .net site. I've looked into the cache object but we are on a web farm so I am not sure it would work. Is there a way I can can instantiate an object in a base page class and have other pages inherit from the base page to access these values? What is the best way to persist these values? A few more points to consider the site runs in https mode and I cannot use session variables, and I would like to avoid cookies if possible..

In order to zoom in the scene, I can do that by eather: - Fix the cameraposition and the cameratarget and change the cameraviewangle.or - Fix the cameratarget and the cameraview angle and moving the camera along the viewing line (defined by the cameraPosition and the cameraTarget). I know how to set the values of cameraposition CameraTarget and viewangle, but I do not how to define the optimal view angle. In auto mode of cameraviewangle, matlab calculate the smalest view angle that capture all the scene from the specefied camera position. I appreciate any help in understanding this. Iman

• Drupal Event/Calendar Module not storing event time

  Hello, all. I have installed a fresh copy of Drupal on an Xampp server. Within that install is a collection of modules for creating an event calendar. There's actually a great instructional video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO4TeEydtMs for getting all the necessary fields up. So far everything is working except... the events won't store the time as stated in the edit field. No matter what I do in the edit mode as admin or otherwise the time always says 12pm and the event on the calendar says "All Day". I know this is pretty obscure but I figured why not try and ask. • Infinite queue for build while TFS Preview publishing on Azure Cloud Service

  I've created Cloud Service and linked TFS Preview Project for CI deployments. I've chosen Manual mode for triggering the builds. The previously queued builds were successfully completed and deployed. And the website based on this Cloud Service was running fine. Waiting in the queue was no more than 3-5 seconds. Now when I click - "Queue New Build" - the new build item is created in the queue but it never runs. I can successfully Publish project onto Azure Cloud service from VS2012 though. What could be the most common reasons for this?

• WPF Moving Element problem

  Hello, I am probably over-doing a very simple problem, but this is what I have a the moment: I have several buttons and a listbox of items in which the user can select and interact with. My application also moves those elements in accordance to the application width/height, such as follows: listBox1.Margin = new Thickness(this.ActualWidth * 0.84, this.ActualHeight * 0.3, 0, 0); I am able to select the items within the listbox and click on buttons appropriately while in windowed mode, but as I begin to stretch the application larger, I try to click on the items, and I cannot do so.. is this because I also need to update their hit-detection rectangles as well? Or perhaps am I moving the items incorrectly? I am at a loss.. any information would be very helpful at this point...thanks!

I think the issue may be caused because I am requesting this information in Page_PreInit. I found a solution in a stack overflow article but I don't seem be using it properly to actually make this go. I am not sure what I am missing. Thanks in advance.

• problem in `delete-directory` with enabled `delete-by-removing-to-trash`

  There is a strange behavior of delete-directory function with enabled flag delete-by-removing-to-trash. It deletes files one by one instead of applying move-file-to-trash to the directory. As a result emacs deletes big directories slowly and there are many files in the trash after deleting, so it is impossible to restore the directory. Example: Directory structure: ddd/ ccc/ 1.txt There are three files in the trash after deleting ddd: trash/ ddd/ ccc/ 1.txt instead of one: trash/ ddd/ It is very slow, because emacs traverse directory recursively. I can't restore deleted directory. What i need is exactly the same behavior as of move-file-to-trash. But it should be transparent (i.e. 'D x' in dired mode). How to solve the problem? As a temporary solution i see the making advice function for `delete-directory'.

• can I debug my web proejct and wcf project on same vs 2008 instance ?

  I have two projects in my solution 1- asp.net web project. 2- wcf serivce project. 3- other common projects between two listed above Currently on the local dev machine I have to run two visual studio instance to run both projects in debug mode. That makes the system run out of resources as these projects share some other project in the soultion which are heavy in files. Is there a way I can hookup the wcf project on a sinlge visual stodio instance that I am using to debug the asp.net web applicaiton. I do not want to combine the web and wcf project in to one. Have already considred this option. thanks for sharing your thoughts in advance.

  I have an application which takes measurements every second (I am running it in demo mode & generating random data, so the problem is not to do with reading from devices attached to the serial port). After 5 or 6 minutes it hangs. I have added try // entire body of procedure/function goes here except on E: Exception do begin MessageDlg('Internal coding error in <function name>()', mtError, [mbOK], 0); end; end; to every single function (and Application.Run() in the project file), but I don't see any message dialogs. Any idea how I can test this?

• Which of FILE* or ifstream has better memory usage?

  I need to read fixed number of bytes from files, whose sizes are around 50MB. To be more precise, read a frame from YUV 4:2:0 CIF/QCIF files (~25KB to ~100KB per frame). Not very huge number but I don't want whole file to be in the memory. I'm using C++, in such a case, which of FILE* or ifstream has better (less/minimal) memory usage? Please kindly advise. Thanks! EDIT: I read fixed number of bytes: 25KB or 100KB (depending on QCIF/CIF format). The reading is in binary mode and forward-only. No seeking needed. No writing needed, only reading. EDIT: If identifying better of them is hard, which one does not require loading the whole file into memory?

• Getting Emacs ansi-term and Zsh to play nicely

  I've been trying to use Zsh within my emacs session, without emacs remapping all the Zsh keys. I found ansi-term works pretty well for this but, I'm still having some problems. I was getting lots of junk characters outputted with, I was able to fix it with: ## Setup proper term information for emacs ansi-term mode [[ $TERM == eterm-color ]] && export TERM=xterm But everything still doesn't work perfectly. Now I am having trouble with output being drawn offscreen , especially when using something like C-r for search. Any thoughts. Anyone else have Zsh + Ansi-term working properly?

• WPF Binding not updating when binded object is updated

  I'm trying to bind to a custom control like so: <my:GanttChartTaskListView Name="ganttChartTaskListView1" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={x:Static local:TaskCollection.taskList}}" /> In my WPF Window constructor I add add an item to my taskList, when it loads I can see that item in my custom control, however, when I subsequently add items it does not update. I tried setting Mode=TwoWay, however, then it says the "Path" is required and I'm not familiar with binding like that (this is new to me). Here is my TaskCollection class: namespace ProjectManager { public static class TaskCollection { private static List<TaskItem> _taskList = new List<TaskItem>(); public static List<TaskItem> taskList { get {return _taskList; } set { _taskList = value; } } } } Any ideas?   Hi All, I have a Java serial driver that's using the notifyOnDataAvailable mode to enable async. receive notification. I see an occasional problem where the SerialPortEvent.DATA_AVAILABLE serial event is not called until a relatively large no. of characters have been received (e.g. 34). The problem is that the sender sent a 20 byte packet, so the Java receiver did not send an ACK until the sender did a retry of the 20 byte send. Is there any way in Java COMM to configure the size of the receive buffer?

If there some startup parameter that I can enable that will show me what GC event is reducing the heap size?   I follow the direction in here How to configure SQL Server to manage ASP.NET sessions to create ASPState db. I have 2 web application in IIS 7. In IIS web application setting, i go to "Session State" and set session state as "SQL Server" and provide connection string. In each web application web.config, i add <sessionState mode="SQLServer" allowCustomSqlDatabase="false" sqlConnectionString="data source=server;user id=user;password=password" cookieless="false" timeout="7200" /> I create a session , Session["Data"] = "test" in Web App A and go to Web App B in the same browser to print it Response.Write(Session["Data"]); It shows NOTHING. I can see there are data in table : ASPStateTempApplications and ASPStateTempSessions under ASPState Database. Also, i dont see any error in event log. Can anyone think anything i may do wrong?   Looking for some best practices of UI list on iPhone which has item add/modify/delete functions. Please refer to some sample codes or articles to build user friendly interface. The main application is tab bar application and one of the tabs supposed to show item management. The item itself consisting of 3 text items, first one can be label, it's short, the rest if it's not terribly complicated I would like to show below with small font or show when user taps on item entering edit mode... Not sure how to design all this and which views to use.

• Component properties working at designt time but not runtime - ???

  I am creating a component that uses a collection and collection items of panels. I can't seem to get the colors to work at runtime, but yet they seem to work just fine at design time. You can download the component source code here: http://www.shaneholmes.net/pasfiles/ There is a Consoles (Tcollection) property, status colors property, and a Edit mode property Each console (TCollectionItem) has a status property when changed, the consoles property is changed based on the components StatusColors property. When the components EditMode property is set to true, you can move the panels around at runtime. Question: Why does the colors only work at designtime and not runtime. thanks

• AspectFit Not Working for Transformed UIImageView

  I have a UIImageView inside a subview and I'm trying to get an AspectFit content mode working how I want for a 90 degree transformation. Here is a demo app of what I mean https://github.com/rdetert/image-scale-test If you run the app and hold it in a landscape orientation (app runs in landscape) you'll see that the image does not stretch from left edge to right edge. What seems to be happening is that the AspectFit works correctly for the portrait/default orientation, but then the image simply gets rotated the image after the fact. How can I make it auto stretch? I think the fact that it is inside a subview may have something to do with it?
