• Display separator in Sharepoint AspMenu control

  All I'm trying to do is display a separator (I've tried images & stylesheets) between the primary navigation menu items in Sharepoint. Here is what I want it to look like: Home | Menu1 | Menu2 | Menu3 When I attempt to use the StaticTopSeparatorImageUrl (using a bar image) it results in the following: Home | Menu1 | Menu2 | Menu3 | This is obviously not a separator, and when I use the StaticBottomSeparatorImageUrl the opposite happens. I also tried to style the ms-topnav class to have a left border, which doesn't work because the control doesn't identify the first (or last) item in the menu... So, my next option was to use the Telerik RadMenu, after fighting to get it into Sharepoint I had difficulties getting it to display like the Sharepoint Menu using the SiteMapDataSource (display only the Home item and no children). This seems SO simple, but it is Sharepoint, so nothing is really simple. I'm wondering if there is either a way to make the default Sharepoint separator work correctly that I might have missed, or is there a GOOD Sharepoint menu replacement that actually takes styling into account?

• Gitosis post-update wont run

  Im running cygwin on a windows vista pc. Ive successfully installed sshd, configured, and built gitosis. I can remotely git clone the gitosis-admin.git repository, made a change to the config, committed and pushed back to cygwin machine successfully. However the post-update doesnt execute and the new repository (as specified in the config) have not created. I have run: chmod 755 /home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/hooks/post-update and an ls -l shows the following: -rwxr-xr-x 1 git None 69 2010-04-13 22:55 post-update yet, when I run: ./post-update I receive the following error: ERROR:gitosis.run_hook:Must have GIT_DIR set in enviroment Ive included in my git .bashrc the line: GIT_DIR=$HOME/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ and if I type Set at the prompt, I can see: GIT_DIR=/home/git/repositories/gitosis-admin.git/ What else can I try, because Im running out of ideas.

• How to recursively display folders and sub folders with specific file types only using PHP5 Recursiv

  Hi I am trying to get RecursiveDirectoryIterator class using a extension on the FilterIterator to work but for some reason it is iterating on the root directory only. my code is this. class fileTypeFilter extends FilterIterator { public function __construct($path) { parent::__construct(new RecursiveDirectoryIterator($path)); } public function accept() { $file = $this->getInnerIterator()->current(); return preg_match('/\.php/i', $file->getFilename()); } } $it = new RecursiveDirectoryIterator('./'); $it = new fileTypeFilter($it); foreach ($it as $file) { echo $file; } my directory structure is something like this. -Dir1 --file1.php --file2.php -Dir2 --file1.php etc etc But as I said before the class is not recursively iterating over the entire directory structure and is only looking at the root. Question is, how do use a basic RescursiveDirectoryIterator to display folders and then run the FilterIterator to only show the php files in those directorys? Cheers

But I got the error on using System.Web.UI; using System.Web.UI.WebControl; I have tried to add System.Web as Reference but that still doesn't resolve the stuff. I can't see System.Web.UI and System.Web.UI.WebControl in the reference lists is this normal ? Thanks.

  I'm following the Getting Started with Rails guide but ran into an issue opening http://localhost:3000 Shell output: [2010-03-23 19:19:14] ERROR NameError: uninitialized constant ActiveResource::Base Error in the browser: Internal Server Error uninitialized constant ActiveResource::Base WEBrick/1.3.1 (Ruby/1.8.7/2009-06-12) at localhost:3000 I followed the directions exactly as they were specified in the guide: Ran rails generate controller home index I removed index.html Added root :to = "home#index" to config/routes.rb I checked app/views/home/index.html.erb and it is indeed there. I then used rails server to launch the server. At first attempt the browser loads a blank page, but afterwards starts showing the browser error above. Why is it that Rails can't locate the index.html.erb file? Or is the error something different? - Running Rails 3.0beta with Ruby 1.8.7

• My delete function does not delete the targeted file

  Basically I could upload files based on a project. Whenever I create a project, a new directory is created with the directory name as the project_name e.g. this is a test - this-is-a-test. • portable emacs? (emacs server not working)

  I have seen a few suggestions on making emacs portable (on Windows). I have this in my site-start.el: (defvar program-dir (substring data-directory 0 -4)) (setq inhibit-startup-message t) (setenv "HOME" program-dir) I changed the HOME variable so that not only my .emacs init files (and other init files) are read, but everything generated by emacs will stay in the program directory, not needing me to specify the path for everything one by one. Well this works well but the emacs server is not working; I get error message "no connection could be made because target machine actively refused it." If I don't change my HOME var then emacs server works. Is there way to fix this?

  Hi All, I am trying to concatenate two video files with the gnonlin components of the gstreamer. The pipeline I am using is gst-launch-0.10 gnlcomposition { gnlfilesource name="s1" location="/home/s1.mp4" start=0 duration=2000000000 media-start=0 media-duration=2000000000 gnlfilesource name="s2" location="/home/s2.mp4" start=2000000000 duration=2000000000 media-start=0 media-duration=2000000000 } ! queue ! videorate ! progressreport name="Merging Progress" ! ffmpegcolorspace ! ffenc_mpeg4 ! ffmux_mp4 ! filesink location="/home/merge.mp4" As a result I am getting only the second file for the duration specified in the parameters. Tried several things and also searched on google but I could not figure out the problem with the above command. Can anyone point what i am doing wrong? • Building Eclipse RCP application, running fails

  Hi, after successfully building my application the start fails because it relies on config files which are located in the META-INF directory and after the build this directory is zipped into a jar file, hence making it unable to access the config files. After manually unzipping the jar, deleting the jar and renaming the directory with xxx.jar the program runs without a problem. The config files are needed for SSO login (Kerberos). • How to do a "git export" (like "svn export")

  I've been wondering whether there is a good "git export" solution that creates a copy of a tree without the .git repository directory. There are at least three methods I know of: git clone followed by removing the .git repository directory. git checkout-index alludes to this functionality but starts with "Just read the desired tree into the index..." which I'm not entirely sure how to do. git-export is a third party script that essentially does a git clone into a temporary location followed by rsync --exclude='.git' into the final destination. None of these solutions really strike me as being satisfactory. The closest one to svn export might be option 1, because both those require the target directory to be empty first. But option 2 seems even better, assuming I can figure out what it means to read a tree into the index.

• ClickOnce and mageUI adding custom file folder problems

  What I do: Publishing .Net 3.5 application via VS, or msbuild (whatever), and now I need to insert to the published application separate directory (Modules - not added as a reference to the project - our project architecture does not allow this). So I'm copying the folder to published location then runs mageUI.exe select the application manifest and then the problems starts. As I press the populate button it's adding also hidden directory? So I remove the directory, after I want to save the manifest file I get the "Warning MSB3110: Assembly 'NAME.Shell.application.deploy' has mismatched identity 'NAME.Shell.application', expected file name: 'NAME.Shell.application.application'". Did you have the same problems, according to http://smartclient.codeplex.com/Project/Download/FileDownload.aspx?DownloadId=5060 it should be easy as 1-2-3 but it's not.

• Getting into a technology which requires experience when you have no experience

  It seems that Sharepoint is a technology which is very hard to get into. All the jobs in this tech require experience in working with it (Eg 2 years development experience in MOSS). If I wanted to get into this - but had no job that used the tech, how can I get experience in it to get an experienced job? Jobs state you need "2 years professional experience in MOSS 2007" but then if you have never done it, you won't get the job. The only possible way is you will be doing this at home and not in a team, but if you work in the mean time, that will negate this (it's not like teamworking is tech specific). Many people think if you decide to make a project at home you're just going to play about aimlessly rather than work to specs (where as in my current situation it's vice versa) but if you're dedicated, like me, you would write them - just not with the same presentation. Would employers treat experience at home as professional experience? Biztalk is another prime example of this. Thanks

  I'm trying to get the Poll tutorial working at my Dreamhost account (I don't have any prior experience of deploying Django).   Hello, I can't make python bindings for webdriver workable. Here is tutorial for installing. easy_install webdriver Won't find webdriver package so I have to install it manually from sources. • RenderAction not finding action method in current controller in current area

  I'm creating an ASP.NET MVC 2 (RTM) project that uses areas. The Index action of the Home controller of one area needs to use RenderAction to generate a sub-section of the page. The action called is also defined in the same Home controller. So the call should just be: <% Html.RenderAction("List") %> However, I get an exception: A public action method 'List' was not found on controller 'RareBridge.Web.Areas.Events.Controllers.HomeController'. Note that I'm not in the "Events" area! I'm in a completely different area. If I remove the "Events" home controller, then the exception still occurs but names a different controller (still not the one I want it to call). I've also tried providing the controller name and area to the RenderAction method, but the same exception occurs. What is going on here? BTW: I am using Autofac as my IoC container

• Apache/passenger/ree doesn't interpret .rb files

  I'm trying to get apache + passenger + ree to work. I think I did everything (except for setting up rails env - for now I wanna run just pure ruby) described here: http://rvm.beginrescueend.com/integration/passenger/ But when I try to go to localhost/test.rb it doesn't interpret that file and just download it.   Hi, I have a search form on a page that posts back to itself and shows the results, all works fine. I now have a requirement to put the same search form on the site home page. This needs to post back to the search form and run the findResults code. Using the PostBackURL parameter on the home page form's submit button I can hit the search page ok. However, when using the following code in the Page_Load section of the search page I hit the problem of not being able to access data from the posting page as I get the following error message on the line starting "yearList.SelectedValue....": "'Site._default1.Protected WithEvents yearList As System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList' is not accessible in this context because it is 'Protected'". • Sparse checkout in Git 1.7.0?

  With the new sparse checkout feature in Git 1.7.0, is it possible to just get the contents of a subdirectory like how you can in SVN? I found this example, but it preserves the full directory structure. Imagine that I just wanted the contents of the 'perl' directory, without an actual directory named 'perl'. -- EDIT -- Example: My git repository contains the following paths repo/.git/ repo/perl/ repo/perl/script1.pl repo/perl/script2.pl repo/images/ repo/images/image1.jpg repo/images/image2.jpg repo/doc/ repo/doc/readme.txt repo/doc/help.txt What I want is to be able to produce from the above repository this layout: repo/.git/ repo/script1.pl repo/script2.pl However with the current sparse checkout feature, it seems like it is only possible to get repo/.git/ repo/perl/script1.pl repo/perl/script2.pl which is NOT what I want. • "read lock failed" at cvs annotate

  I am trying to use cvs annotate. This is the what I run: cvs -d /mycvs/cvsroot/ annotate "projects/dg/SomeClass.java" However, I get the following error: cvs annotate: failed to create lock directory for `/mycvs/cvsroot/projects/dg^M' (/mycvs/cvsroot/projects/dg^M/#cvs.lock): No such file or directory cvs annotate: failed to obtain dir lock in repository `/mycvs/cvsroot/projects/dg^M' cvs [annotate aborted]: read lock failed - giving up What does this mean? How can I overcome this problem? Could it be related to the ^M character I see at the error message? When I use eclipse to do the annotation it works. I checked and the directory `/mycvs/cvsroot/projects/dg' exists. The error also occurs when I'm logged in as root, so probably it's not a permissions issue either. I am using CentOS

• OpenFileDialog RestoreDirectory as no effect if Multiselect is set to true

  We use OpenFileDialog across our application to select files. So far, we never used Multiselect. We set RestoreDirectory to true so that any time we open the dialog we get the user to the last directory used. If I set Multiselect to true, the directory from which the files are selected is not remembered. The dialog shows the last directory used when Multiselect was set to false. By the way, we create a new instance of OpenFileDialog. The environment: Windows XP VS 2008 targeting framework 3.5 C#

• Could not load file or assembly log4net or one of its dependencies

  I've been asked to take a look at an error in an ASP/C# application with its Paypal integration. The error, shown in full, is: Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.0.30714, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b32731d11ce58905' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) From what I understand, this means that the actual file located (that is, log4net.dll in my bin directory) does not match the version expected based on some assembly configuration. The problem I'm having is that I cannot locate where this file is being referenced. I have access to all the files in the web root directory of the site, and cannot locate any config files that reference this DLL. Where else might I need to look to determine what's causing the mis-match? As a note, I've made sure that the version of the DLL in the bin directory is up to date, but this does not seem to have resolved anything.
