• Configuring the iPlanet as web tier for Oracle WebCenter Content (UCM)

  If you are looking for configure the iPlanet as Web server/proxy to use with the Oracle WebCenter Content, you probably won’t found an specific documentation for that or will found some old complex notes related to the old 10gR3. This post will help you out with few simple steps. That’s the diagram of the test scenario, considering that you will deploy in production in an cluster environment. First you need the software, for our scenario you will need: - Oracle iPlanet Web Server 7.0.15+ (Installed) - Oracle WebCenter Content 11gR1 PS5 (Installed) - Oracle WebLogic Web Server Plugins 11g (1.1) - Supported JDK (Using Oracle Java JDK 7u4 for the test) - Certified Client OS - Certified Server OS (Using Oracle Solaris 11 for the test) - Certified Database (Using Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 for the test) Then the configuration: - Download the latest plugin: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-plugins-096117.html - Extract the WLSPlugin11g-iPlanet7.0 in some folder, like <iPlanet_Home>/plugins/wls11 - Include the plugin reference to the magnus.conf: If Unix (Solaris or Linux), include the line: Init fn="load-modules" shlib="/apps/oracle/WebServer7/plugins/wls11/lib/mod_wl.so" If Windows, Include the line:        Init fn="load-modules" shlib="D:\\oracle\\WebServer7\\plugins\\wls11\\lib\\mod_wl.dll" - Include the proxy reference to the obj.conf of each instance: <Object name="weblogic" ppath="*/cs/*"> Service fn="wl-proxy" WebLogicCluster="wcc-node1:16201,wcc-node2:16202, wcc-node3:16203" </Object>   <Object name="weblogic" ppath="*/_dav/*"> Service fn="wl-proxy" WebLogicCluster="wcc-node1:16201,wcc-node2:16202, wcc-node3:16203" </Object>   <Object name="weblogic" ppath="*/_ocsh/*"> Service fn="wl-proxy" WebLogicCluster="wcc-node1:16201,wcc-node2:16202, wcc-node3:16203" </Object>   <Object name="weblogic" ppath="*/adfAuthentication/*"> Service fn="wl-proxy" WebLogicCluster="wcc-node1:16201,wcc-node2:16202, wcc-node3:16203" </Object> If you are using an single node setup, change the Service fn=…. line to something like: Service fn="wl-proxy" WebLogicHost=<wcc-server> WebLogicPort=16200 With these configurations, your should have the WebCenter Content UI working with the iPlanet, test it. [http://<web-server>/cs/] With the UI working, the last step is to configure the WebDav: - Go to the iPlanet Admin Console (usually https://<web-server>:8989) - Go to Configurations >> [instance] >> Virtual Servers >> [Virtual Server] >> WebDAV: - Click New - Populate the URI with /cs/idcplg/webdav: - Select “Anyone (No Authentication)”, the wc Content will take care of the security: This will allow you to use the WebDav feature and the Desktop Integration Suite, including double-byte characters.   I am attempting to have a projectile follow the direction a gun is facing. When using the following code I am unable to make the projectile go in the right direction. float speed = .5f; float dX = (float) -Math.cos(Math.toRadians(degree)) * speed; float dY = (float) Math.sin(Math.toRadians(degree)) * speed; Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? The degree is the direction the gun is facing in degree's.

• Android Swipe In Unity 3D World with AR

  I am working on an AR application using Unity3D and the Vuforia SDK for Android. The way the application works is a when the designated image(a frame marker in our case) is recognized by the camera, a 3D island is rendered at that spot. Currently I am able to detect when/which objects are touched on the model by raycasting. But I want to have some interaction in the 3D world based on the swipe on the screen. I.E. If the user swipes over unoccluded enemies, they die. My first thought was to track all the points in the moved TouchPhase, and then if it is a swipe raycast into all those points and kill any enemy that is hit. Is there a better way to do this? What is the best approach? Thanks for the help!

  So you're working on your NetBeans Platform application and you notice that when you right-click on tabs in the predefined windows, e.g., the Projects window, you see a long list of popup menus. For whatever the reason is, you decide you don't want those popup menus. You right-click the application and go to the Branding dialog. There you uncheck the checkboxes that are unchecked below: As you can see above, you've removed three features, all of them related to closing the windows in your application. Therefore, "Close" and "Close Group" are now gone from the list of popup menus: But that's not enough. You also don't want the popup menus that relate to maximizing and minimizing the predefined windows, so you uncheck those checkboxes that relate to that: And, hey, now they're gone too: Next, you decide to remove the feature for floating, i.e., undocking the windows from the main window: And now they're gone too: However, even when you uncheck all the remaining checkboxes, as shown here... You're still left with those last few pesky popup menu items that just will not go away no matter what you do: The reason for the above? Those actions are hardcoded into the action list, which is a bug. Until it is fixed, here's a handy workaround: Set an implementation dependency on "Core - Windows" (core.window). That is, set a dependency and then specify that it is an implementation dependency, i.e., that you'll be using an internal class, not one of the official APIs. In one of your existing modules, or in a new one, make sure you have (in addition to the above) a dependency on Lookup API and Window System API. • Ubuntu 14.04 has a bunch of old kernel directories

  I saw in Disk Usage Analyzer I have 3.13.0-xx for 8 minor versions of the kernel in /lib/modules. Each is around 200MB. I remember having to go through in Synaptic and remove those old Linux versions before, but hasn't this bug been fixed? Is it just paranoid default setting, that perhaps all of the last half dozen kernels might become unbootable, so it keeps each old one around? Or do I have some developer setting enabled by accident that causes this?

• Ubuntu won't connect to wired network

  I'm running 10.04, upgraded from 9.10, maybe, but probably not upgraded from 9.04. I have two wifi routers. Zeus is connected to the dsl modem. Hermes uses a wds bridge with Zeus to extend the network. My desktop (Daedalus) is ethernetted to Hermes. My laptop (Clyde) is wifi, switching to Hermes or Zeus as needed. Occasionally, as in whenever I transfer a large file from desktop to laptop, the wds bridge will die. Fixing it means restarting both routers, though it seems Hermes should boot first. This is ridiculous, and eventually I'll get around to asking you guys to help me stop it from happening. More importantly is that my desktop requires a reboot to get back on the network. WTF. ifconfig shows my nic has no ip. /etc/init.d/networking restart doesn't do anything, not even give me a lousy ip. dhcpcd eth1 grants me an ip address, but doesn't help with internet access. route -n shows what looks like my normal routing table, but pinging google.com informs me it's an unknown host. jake@daedalus:~$ route -n Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth1 169.254.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth1 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1 It may be worth noting that I can ping both Zeus (10.1.1.1) and Hermes (10.1.1.4) and my laptop (10.1.1.55). Much obliged for any help. Rebooting is, well, trivial in this instance. But it's stupid. I switched to linux because I like the idea that if one part breaks, you fix it instead of reboot reboot reboot. I've left my poor desktop in disarray, confining myself to my little netbook. My desktop is broken, awaiting magical commands from you brilliant folk. (and yes, i know clyde the netbook should be named icarus. it was its original name. ironically the ssd burned out, and i felt it wasn't right when it came to reinstalling)

I have a problem with image links like: <img src="img/image.jpg" /> Then my front controller will try to dispatch the request to: application/controller/ImgController.php. Then the image won't load.   In my previous posts (here and here), I showed examples of some of the execution plan warnings that have been added to SQL Server 2012.  There is one other warning that is of interest to me : “Unmatched Indexes”. Firstly, how do I know this is the final one ?  The plan is an XML document, right ? So that means that it can have an accompanying XSD.  As an XSD is a schema definition, we can poke around inside it to find interesting things that *could* be in the final XML file. The showplan schema is stored in the folder Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\schemas\sqlserver\2004\07\showplan and by comparing schemas over releases you can get a really good idea of any new functionality that has been added. If we now look at the properties pane, we will see two pieces of information “Warnings” and “UnmatchedIndexes”. So, handily, we are being told which filtered index is not being used due to parameterization.

• graphics card not found?

  I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and absolutely love it , but when i go to system details it says graphics unknown, is this a problem ? i have a acer aspire 5750, and a Intel 3000 HD graphics card.There also no additional drivers to be installed, but on another computer i needed to install additional drivers and it showed the grapics card. is there a problem with intel graphics in combination with ubuntu ?
