  In my servlet , I m using Tomcat 5.0 and JRE is 1.5.0 but it is giving error when I click on the URL . As when I created a war file of my project and deployed in tomcat than it is working fine . • error initializing multiple configuration files

  Subject header pretty much covers it. I have a windows Home Server which can only be accessed through remote desktop. I could log in for ages, but for the past couple weeks I haven't been able to log in. As soon as I enter my username/password and click OK, I get an alert dialog stating the following: "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x8007007e" When I click "Ok" (the only option) the dialog closes and my remote session closes. How can I get around this? I've tried powering down the machine and powering it back up. Same results.

• How to prevent Spell checking code in MS Office?

  We use MS Office. Outlook for emails, Word for some documentation and I use OneNote a lot for my own note taking. What bugs me is when I drop some code or use key words or even camel case into these apps the spell checking picks them up and I have red squiggles everywhere. Ignore is pretty much useless, so either I have to turn off Spell Check altogether start adding these to the custom dictionary. What would be good is if I can use the Set Language function to mark a whole block of text to just not be spell checked. Has anyone found a nice solution to this or do you know of a blank dictionary is best to use? I found using "Mohawk" kind of does that... might just use that for now. Maybe create a macro to switch between them.

It's still "correcting" my texts. Searching for 'spelling correction' addons: The indicated option in the following borrowed screensnot does not exist on my PC. Is there any way of disabling it? I prefer a canonical solution if one is available. If not, I am also interested in registry hacks or other solutions.

  This is actually the second time this has happened to me, but I don't remember what I did last time (nor can I find the original forum post that helped then). I'm using Quicken Mac 2007. My 401(k) account, previously properly set up, has changed, seemingly irrevocably, to a Checking account. When I click "Edit" and try to change the account type, the 401(k) option is grayed out. I've got years of data stored in this account, so I am really hoping there's a way to salvage this data file!

I've been following a tutorial and a sample application, namely 5 Days of Wicket - Writing the tests: http://www.mysticcoders.com/blog/2009/03/10/5-days-of-wicket-writing-the-tests/ I've set up my own little project with a simple shoutbox that saves messages to a database. I then wanted to set up a couple of tests that would make sure that if a message is stored in the database, the retrieved object would contain the exact same data. Upon running mvn test all my tests fail. The exception has been pasted in the first code box underneath. • Check if file is locked or catch error for trying to open

  I'm trying to handle the problem where a user can try to open, with an OpenFileDialog, a file that is open by Excel. Using the simple FileInfo.OpenRead(), it chucks an IOException, "The process cannot access the file 'cakes.xls' because it is being used by another process." This would be fine to display to the user except that the user will actually get "Debugging resource strings are unavailable" nonsense. It seems not possible to open a file that is open by another process, since using FileInfo.Open(FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.ReadWrite) chucks a SecurityException, "File operation not permitted. Access to path 'C:\whatever\cakes.xls' is denied.", for any file. Rather unhelpful. So it's down to either finding some way of checking if the file is locked, or trying to catch the IOException. I don't want to catch all IOExceptions and assume they're all locked file errors, so I need some sort of way of classifying this type of exception as this error... but the "Debugging resource strings" nonsense along with the fact that that message itself is probably localized makes it tricky. I'm partial trust, so I can't use Marshal.GetHRForException. So: Is there any sensible way of either check if a file is locked, or at least determining if this problem occurred without just catching all IOExceptions?

  I'm making a webpage using CherryPy for the server-side, HTML, CSS and jQuery on the client-side. I'm also using a mySQL database. I have a working form for users to sign up to the site - create a username and password. I use jQuery to send an AJAX POST request to the CherryPy which queries the database to see if that username exists. If the username exists, alert the user, if it doesn't, add it to the database and alert success. $.post('submit', postdata, function(data) { alert(data); }); Successful jQuery POST. I want to change the form so that instead of checking that the username exists on submit, a GET request is made as on the blur event from the username input. • GCC error with variadic templates: "Sorry, unimplemented: cannot expand 'Identifier...' into a fixe

  While doing variadic template programming in C++0x on GCC, once in a while I get an error that says "Sorry, unimplemented: cannot expand 'Identifier...' into a fixed-length arugment list." If I remove the "..." in the code then I get a different error: "error: parameter packs not expanded with '...'". So if I have the "..." in, GCC calls that an error, and if I take the "..." out, GCC calls that an error too. The only way I have been able to deal with this is to completely rewrite the template metaprogram from scratch using a different approach, and (with luck) I eventually come up with code that doesn't cause the error. But I would really like to know what I was doing wrong. Despite Googling for it and despite much experimentation, I can't pin down what it is that I'm doing differently between variadic template code that does produce this error, and code that does not have the error. The wording of the error message seems to imply that the code should work according the C++0x standard, but that GCC doesn't support it yet. Or perhaps it is a compiler bug? Here's some code that produces the error. T> But you cannot actually use those parameter packs in the specialization, i.e. this part is not OK: SomeStruct<1, 2, 3, T... The fact that you can make it work if you wrap the pack in some other type, i.e. like this: SomeStruct<1, 2, 3, TypePack<T...>> to me implies that the declaration of the variadic parameter to a partial template specialization was successful, and you just can't use it directly. Can anyone confirm this?

• Error 1009 after gotoAndStop - stage instance never gets added

  I've been through the forums for hours (days?) searching on 1009 errors, but I remain stumped on this. It seems very mysterious and I would LOVE some help if you have any ideas. I have a single .swf that is 7 frames long - each frame represents a different "page" and you can switch pages through a menu widget in the top right corner. The menu widget calls gotoAndPlay( "frame" ). Everything works fine except when I switch from one particular frame to another. Then, during initialization of the new frame (setting some visible properties on various items, in actionscript), I get the dreaded 1009 error on a specific stage instance, a dynamic text instance i_word. Here's what I've tried so far: made sure the actionscript for the new frame starts with a stop() statement before starting initialization - no dice tried changing i_word into a movie_clip instead of dynamic text, made sure it was exported for actionscript - no difference. (I also have 2 other dynamic text instances on the same page that don't seem to cause a problem) added an ENTER_FRAME listener when the new frame is loaded, in case the problem was a timing issue. Put in a big if statement checking if i_word and other instances are not null before proceeding to initialization. It never enters the if, because i_word NEVER gets added. I added trace statements for all instances that are null, and it is the only one. If I remove all references to i_word in my actionscript, everything else is not null, and things go forward. The text for i_word even shows up on the screen in that case. tried renaming i_word - no dice tried deleting the layer i_word was on and adding a new layer - no dice It feels like there is a serious Gremlin in my flash file somewhere. Or maybe I'm missing something obvious. Let me know if you have any ideas...I'd be so grateful. Thank you! Elambda

• Can't get findnext property of range class error

  I am trying to parse a report in Excel 2007. It is basically a report of accounting charge exceptions. The report has sections with a header for each type of exception. There are types of exceptions that are deleted from the report. I'm using a Do While loop to find each header and if the section needs to be deleted I have it do so. If nothing needs to be deleted the code works fine, but right after a section is deleted I get an "Unable to get the FindNext property of the Range Class" error. • I'm getting a "Does not implement IController" error on images and robots.txt in MVC2

  I'm getting a strange error on my webserver for seemingly every file but the .aspx files. Here is an example. Just replace '/robots.txt' with any .jpg name or .gif or whatever and you'll get the idea: The controller for path '/robots.txt' was not found or does not implement IController. I'm sure it's something to do with how I've setup routing but I'm not sure what exactly I need to do about it. Also, this is a mixed MVC and WebForms site, if that makes a difference.

My endpoint configuration is below, along with the app.config for the service. What is strange is that in my endpoint configuration, I am specifying to use the XmlSerializer for message serialization. I don't see any other errors in the console output preceding the error message. What am I missing? Thanks, Steve
