  • Squid closing the connection on long HTTP GET requests

    When running a database query on a specific external site we use, Squid seems to cut off the connection after a consistent period of time (just over a minute). The query is submitted through a standard web form is that uses GET to query their database. Firefox 3 just displays a blank page. Internet Explorer throws a 'Page Cannot Be Displayed' error (tested in v6 and v8). When we perform the same query on the same machine, but bypass the Squid proxy, it works fine. The query takes about two and a half minutes to complete. There are a few timeout settings in Squid, but I honestly don't know what one to be looking at. Any possible solutions would be much appreciated. Cheers

    I'm struggling to get my head around how to accommodate a mocked repository's method that only accepts a Linq expression as its argument.     I am new to nHibernate and having some issues getting over the learning curve. My current question involves passing a string value as a parameter to a stored sproc. The error I get is: Input string is not in correct format. My mapping file looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="MyCompany.MyProject.Core" namespace="MyCompany.MyProject.Core" > <class name="MyCompany.MyProject.Core.MyTable" table="My_Table" lazy="false"> <id name="Id" column="Id"></id> <property name="Name" column="Name" /> </class> <sql-query name="sp_GetTable" callable="true"> <query-param name="int_Id" type="int"/> <query-param name="vch_MyId" type="String"/> <return class="MyCompany.MyProject.Core.MyTable" /> call procedure MYPKG.MYPROC(:int_Id,:vch_MyId) </sql-query> </hibernate-mapping> When I debug nHibernate it looks like it is not an actual string value, but instead just an object value. Not sure about that though... If it is executed on the UI thread then it works perfectly. When a new thread is created with: Thread t = new Thread(DownloadFiles); t.Start(files); The first time the code goes into the loop it will work, but when its the second pass inside the loop, I will always receive a TargetParameterCountException.   • How to get rank from full-text search query with Linq to SQL?

    I am using Linq to SQL to call a stored procedure which runs a full-text search and returns the rank plus a few specific columns from the table Article. The rank column is the rank returned from the SQL function FREETEXTTABLE(). I've added this sproc to the data model designer with return type Article. This is working to get the columns I need; however, it discards the ranking of each search result. I'd like to get this information so I can display it to the user. So far, I've tried creating a new class RankedArticle which inherits from Article and adds the column Rank, then changing the return type of my sproc mapping to RankedArticle. When I try this, an InvalidOperationException gets thrown: Data member 'Int32 ArticleID' of type 'Heap.Models.Article' is not part of the mapping for type 'RankedArticle'. Is the member above the root of an inheritance hierarchy? I can't seem to find any other questions or Google results from people trying to get the rank column, so I'm probably missing something obvious here.

  • Regex query: how can I search PDFs for a phrase where words in that phrase appear on more than one l

    I am trying to set up an index page for the weekly magazine I work on. It is to show readers the names of companies mentioned in that weeks' issue, plus the page numbers they are appear on. I want to search all the PDF files for the week, where one PDF = one magazine page (originally made in Adobe InDesign CS3 and Adobe InCopy CS3). I have set up a list of companies I want to search for and, using PowerGREP and using delimited regular expressions, I am able to find most page numbers where a company is mentioned. However, where a company name contains two or more words, the search I am running will not pick up instances where the name appears over more than one line. For example, when looking for "CB Richard Ellis" and "Cushman & Wakefield", I got no result when the text appeared like this: DTZ beat BNP PRE, CB [line break here] Richard Ellis and Cushman & [line break here] Wakefield to secure the contract. [line end here] Could someone advise me on how to write a regular expression that will ignore white space between words and ignore line endings OR one that will look for the words including all types of white space (ie uneven spaces between words; spaces at the end of lines or line endings; and tabs (I am guessing that this info is imbedded somehow in PDF files).   • How to query the like count of a facebook object such as a album or photo via fql?

    Hi, Here is a tricky question, how do you get the like count of a facebook object such as an album or a photo? I know that facebook has a fql table called link_stat that allow you to get the like count for an external url, but it does not seem to work if the object is within facebook. If you access the likes via the opengraph api on a particular object, it will only return a maximum of 4 users that like the object, even though there maybe a few thousand users that like it. Any clues?
