  • How to fix a NHibernate lazy loading error "no session or session was closed"?

    I'm developing a website with ASP.NET MVC, NHibernate and Fluent Hibernate and getting the error "no session or session was closed" when I try to access a child object. These are my domain classes: public class ImageGallery { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Title { get; set; } public virtual IList<Image> Images { get; set; } } public class Image { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual ImageGallery ImageGallery { get; set; } public virtual string File { get; set; } } These are my maps: public class ImageGalleryMap:ClassMap<ImageGallery> { public ImageGalleryMap() { Id(x => x.Id); Map(x => x.Title); HasMany(x => x.Images); } } public class ImageMap:ClassMap<Image> { public ImageMap() { Id(x => x.Id); References(x => x.ImageGallery); Map(x => x.File); } } And this is my Session Factory helper class: public class NHibernateSessionFactory { private static ISessionFactory _sessionFactory; private static ISessionFactory SessionFactory { get { if(_sessionFactory == null) { _sessionFactory = Fluently.Configure() .Database(MySQLConfiguration.Standard.ConnectionString(MyConnString)) .Mappings(m => m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<ImageGalleryMap>()) .ExposeConfiguration(c => c.Properties.Add("hbm2ddl.keywords", "none")) .BuildSessionFactory(); } return _sessionFactory; } } public static ISession OpenSession() { return SessionFactory.OpenSession(); } } Everything works fine, when I get ImageGallery from database using this code: IImageGalleryRepository igr = new ImageGalleryRepository(); ImageGallery ig = igr.GetById(1); But, when I try to access the Image child object with this code string imageFile = ig.Images[1].File; I get this error: Initializing[Entities.ImageGallery#1]-failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: Entities.ImageGallery.Images, no session or session was closed Someone know how can I fix this?   • Lock application window movement on Mac

    Sometimes, when I use touchpad to control cursor and I'm clicking or double clicking, I move the application window a few pixels because my finger does not tap the touchpad on one place. Is there a way (Mac OS X) to lock application window, so that it can't be moved with cursor unless unlocked again? Is there another way to solve this? (Besides me being more careful when double clicking...) Edit: Is there even an attribute of "window object" that can lock it's position? I can try to write an App that handles just that (or a script run every time I run Application which I want to lock windows for). If there isn't would an OS X Application that "watches" windows movements and counters them (moves back) be hard to code?

Also, don't the major applications servers (WebSphere, JBoss, Glassfish) have their own JTA compliant transaction manager? In those environments, would you still use these third party implementations?

  • WPF XAML: how to get StackPanel's children to fill maximum space downward?

    I simply want flowing text on the left, and a help box on the right. The help box should extend all the way to the bottom. If you take out the outer StackPanel below it works great. But for reasons of layout (I'm inserting UserControls dynamically) I need to have the wrapping StackPanel.     Is there any way to import a database backup from 2005 into 2008 express edition. What I've had to resort to is doing a script the database, then import all the data through DTS. If I remove the import and the reference to "xsd:schema" respectively then the binding compiler generates successfully the classes. For example if you've written an application using a combination of C++ and Objective-C++ would you consider it to have been written in C++ and Objective-C, C++ and Objective-C++ or all three? Obviously C and C++ are different languages even though C++ and C are directly compatible, how is the situation with Objective-C++ and Objective-C?

    (If you can make a better title, please do) Hi, I need to make sure a string matches the following regex: ^[0-9a-zA-Z]{1}[0-9a-zA-Z\.\-_]*$ (Starts with a letter or number, then any number of letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores) But given that, I need to make sure it doesn't match a Guid, my Guid matching reg-ex looks like this (obviously, this needs to be negated in the merged result): ^([0-9a-fA-F]){8}-([0-9a-fA-F]){4}-([0-9a-fA-F]){4}-([0-9a-fA-F]){4}-([0-9a-fA-F]){12}$ The last requirement here is that they must (if it's possible) be merged into a single expression.

  • [Android] Is there a way to make ellipsize="marquee" always scroll?

    I want to use the marquee effect on a TextView, but the text is only being scrolled when the TextView gets focus. That's a problem, because in my case, it can't. I am using: android:ellipsize="marquee" android:marqueeRepeatLimit="marquee_forever" Is there a way to have the TextView always scroll its text? I've seen this being done in the Android Market app, where the app name will scroll in the title bar, even if it doesn't receive focus, but I couldn't find this being mentioned in the API docs.

Is it possible to use Facebook Connect (or any other means of FB integration) in a native iPhone app without resorting to the built in login dialog (which looks awful)? Something where I could create my own custom login screen asking for the facebook login username and password and then using the fbconnect native methods to validate that info and retrieve a valid session?

    I am preparing to deploy Office365 for my organization. We have an on premise Active Directory Domain Controller (Windows Server 2012 R2). We would like to leverage our Active Directory for: automatic user provisioning in Office365, and password synchronization, using the DirSync tool. Our Active Directory Domain is example.pvt. Email is currently Rackspace Exchange and email addresses follow the form [email protected]. Active Directory User Logon Name follows the form firstinitiallastname. My Questions are: What Active Directory Attribute(s) can be use in provisioning the email address in Office365? Is it possible to use the E-mail field in Active Directory to provision the email address in Office365? Will the fact that our Active Directory Domain has a different extension (.pvt vs. .com) cause a problem with our planned provisioning method?

  • Deploying WCF Tutorial App on IIS7: "The type could not be found"

    Hello, I've been trying to follow this tutorial for deploying a WCF sample to IIS . I can't get it to work. This is a hosted site, but I do have IIS Manager access to the server. However, in step 2 of the tutorial, I can't "create a new IIS application that is physically located in this application directory". I can't seem to find a menu item, context menu item, or what not to create a new application. I've been right-clicking everywhere like crazy and still can't figure out how to create a new app. I suppose that's probably the root issue, but I tried a few other things (described below) just in case that actually is not the issue. Here is a picture of what I see in IIS Manager, in case my words don't do it justice: This is "deployed" at http://test.com.cws1.my-hosting-panel.com/IISHostedCalcService/Service.svc . The error says: The type 'Microsoft.ServiceModel.Samples.CalculatorService', provided as the Service attribute value in the ServiceHost directive, or provided in the configuration element system.serviceModel/serviceHostingEnvironment/serviceActivations could not be found. I also tried to create a virtual dir (IISHostedCalc) in dotnetpanel that points to IISHostedCalcService . When I navigate to http://test.com.cws1.my-hosting-panel.com/IISHostedCalc/Service.svc , then there is a different error: This collection already contains an address with scheme http. There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection. Interestingly enough, if I click on View Applications, it seems like the virtual directory is an application (see image below)... although, as per the error message above, it doesn't work. [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Invalid attribute/option identifier Both the client and the server are Centos 5.4 Xen guests with the following RPMs installed: postgresql-libs-8.1.18-2.el5_4.1 postgresql-odbc-08.01.0200-3.1 postgresql-8.1.18-2.el5_4.1 postgresql-server-8.1.18-2.el5_4.1 Its possible the schema changed as part of the upgrade, could this explain the error message? What does this error message actually indicate, and do you know any likely causes of it?
