  • Little CSS problem with Auto height and nested div's

    So I'm finally learning my way around CSS more and have run into a small problem. I have a container div, with a few divs inside of it, one of them is a bit if text (which can be a random height) and an image that will have a MAX height of 200px. I am using a dotted/colored background behind them that needs to auto expand to the height of whichever is the tallest, either the text or the image. Right now when i use height:auto on the container div it works perfect for the random height text: Example Screenshot But it's only adjusting according to the text's height; if the image is taller than the text, the image overflows the bottom of the background dotted/colored box. Is it zero? 2) If it is zero how do we plot zero on a logarithmic scale? 3) The result is always symmetrical? Or it just appears to be symmetrical? 4) If I use abs(fft(y)) to compare 2 signals, may I lose some accuracy?

    I'm presenting a list of items to the user with a field for a new item, like this: - current_user.tasks.build - semantic_form_for current_user do |f| - f.semantic_fields_for :tasks do |t| - t.inputs do = t.input :_destroy, :as => :boolean, :label => '' - if t.object.new_record? = t.input :name, :label => false - else = t.object.name Which looks lovely and works like a charm. My only problem is I want the new record at the TOP of the list, not the bottom. Is there an elegant and easy way to do this, or am I going to have to do the new element separately, or loop through the list manually?

    Does anyone know of a walk-through or any examples of any code to setup sensors in android. I have the drivers available to me. Also i have implemented the sensors library as instructed in the Android-Reference along the sensors.h template. I am still unable to get any response at the apps level. How do i trace this issue? what might be the problem? Thanks in advance UPDATE: Jorgesys's link below points to a great APP to test if the sensor drivers are functioning properly or not. Not that i know they are not functioning, Any ideas of on where to dig??...

    AssetManager assets = myContext.getAssets(); String[] files = assets.list("MyFolder"); InputStream myInput = assets.open("MyFolder/" + files[0]); int i = myInput.read(); in this case 'i' is -1 meaning nothing read. Why would nothing be there if the file is there, the variable 'files' has the file as well. Do I need to do anything to the file I put into the Assets folder in get it to be readable?

    I am going to use forms authentication but I want to be able to link the asp.net users to some tables in the db for example If I have a class and students (as roles) I'll have a class students table. I'm planning to put in a Users table containing a simple int userid and ASP.NET username in there and put userid wherever I want to link the users.   • Socket left in TIME_WAIT after file transfer via netcat

    Using Copying by NetCat I am trying to copy files throught network by NetCat. From console it work pretty well. First I run listening netcat on the destination machine and after I run sending on source machine. The problem is it's doen't work from script from the source machine: ssh -f user@$desthost 'nc -l 1234 | tar xvf - /dev/null &' #listening on destination host tar cv /tmp/file | nc $desthost 1234 #sending to destination host I saw that after running port 1234 is still was open and status of the socket was TIME_WAIT. If you know what's the problem, please, help me out. And by the way, after copying how can I validate that the content is identical? Thanks! Addendum: I found one very strange thing, the same implementation with screen on destination work works, but not stable, sometimes it doesn't copy a file. ssh user@$desthost screen -dm -S test 'nc -l 1234 | tar xvf - ' #listening on destination host Maybe there is an issue with timeout?

    I have an app that must get data from the Sqlite database in order to display the first element to the User. I have created a domain object which wraps the DB access and is a thread safe singleton. Is this following strategy optimal to ensure the fastest load given the iPhone's file access and memory management capabilities in threaded apps: 1) In the AppDelegate's FinishedLaunching event the very first thing I do is create the domain singleton within a new thread. This will cause the domain object to go to Sqlite and get the data it needs without locking the UI thread. 2) I then call the standard Window methods to add the View and MakeKeyAndVisible etc. Is there an earlier stage in the AppDelegate where I should fire off the thread that creates the Domain Object and accesses Sqlite?

I realize that this won't actually change the content of the video, but it's necessary for the video to be verified by an external tool. Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to do this? If not, does anyone have any suggestions about how I might go about doing it using the Windows Media Format 11 SDK?
