  • Python - Calling a non python program from python?

    Hi, I am currently struggling to call a non python program from a python script. I have a ~1000 files that when passed through this C++ program will generate ~1000 outputs. Each output file must have a distinct name. The command I wish to run is of the form: program_name -input -output -o1 -o2 -o3 To date I have tried: import os cwd = os.getcwd() files = os.listdir(cwd) required_files = [] for i in file: if i.endswith('.ttp'): required_files.append(i) So, I have an array of the neccesary files. My problem - how do I iterate over the array and for each entry, pass it to the above command (program_name) as an argument and specify a unique output id for each file? Much appreciated, S :-)

    Our application lets users call phone numbers. Users would like to be able to block their caller ID. On other platforms, we let the user specify a custom dialing prefix. For instance, on my cell provider it's #31#. I've tried two approaches so far. (I know it's not allowed from a web app.) Is this true, or am I missing something obvious?

    It seems at least weird to me... The program runs normally.But after I call the enter() function for the 4th time,there is a segmentation fault!I would appreciate any help.     Hi guys! I have some abstract class called IClass (has pure virtual function). There are some classes which inherit IClass: CFirst, CSecond. I want to add objects of classes which inherit into boost::ptr_vector: class IClass { virtual void someFunc() = 0; }; class CFirst : public IClass { }; class CSecond : public IClass { }; boost::ptr_vector<IClass> objectsList; objectsList.push_back(new CFirst()); objectsList.push_back(new CSecond()); And now my goal is to call function (which is declarated in IClass) from all objects in objectsList. I'd prefer to use BOOST_FOREACH: foreach(IClass tempObj, objectsList) { tempObj.someFunc(); } The problem is that IClass - abstract class, so I can't make instance of it for the foreach-cycle. What should I do?

    Hello, my friend has a Real Estate company that receives a lot of phone calls everyday. He wants to have a solution such that when somebody call to his company, the operator sees all the information about the person who is calling based on the database he have right now and the caller ID. Is there a ready made software or solution that can do the job?? Since I'm a software engineer myself, I would never mind developing something from scratch or built on a ready made system (with a team of course), but I need some direction on how to start??     I am having an issue running GPUImage. I have modified SimpleVideoFileFilter program(replaced the filter with a chromakeyfilter) and am using my own video. My program is terminating due to the following error: [AVAssetWriter startWriting] Cannot call method when status is 3' I have gone through the forums but not sure why the moviewriter is closing and then someone is writing to it.     I'm trying to call a third party webservice using WSE 3.0 as a client in Visual Studio 2005. The call works fine and I can see that I get a good response (I have tracing enabled), but apparently the xml parser chokes over it. I always get an InvalidOperationException: There is en error in the XML document. with an InnerException: The specified type was not recognized: name='Map', namespace='http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap', at <bevoegdheid xmlns=''>. How can I get the xml parser to recognize that "Map" type?

But the problem is, when a song is finished, the speaker doesn’t fade out. Is there a simple solution for this? I already tried using the swfobject framework to get the flash player from the page and call the ‘IsPlaying’ on it, but I’m getting the error that ‘swfobject’ can’t be found. All I need is a little push in the right direction or an example showing me how I can correctly get the currently playing audio player (in flash), check if it’s playing and if finished, call a javascript function to led the speaker-image fade-out again. Hope someone here can help me

I've looked up "perl -e" +winrar on google, however none of the results gave me any answer that was remotely close to what i was looking for. The system Im running this on is a Windows XP system.
