When I randomly remove some modules from my GWT app it works again, so I'm guessing it is too large for ASM to compile. Any suggestions?   • Problem changing Java version using alternatives

    I'm not quite sure how I got into this mess, but for some reason I'm not able to change the current version of Java using alternatives. I can run alternatives --config java and type my selection but when I echo the version number for either java or javac, it spits back out 1.5 every time (despite alternatives showing the current version is 1.6). The server I'm working with is running RHEL5, by the way. I have verified that the paths used in alternatives are pointing to the correct directories.   • Issue reading in a cell from Excel with Apache POI

    I am trying to use Apache POI to read in old (pre-2007 and XLS) Excel files. My program goes to the end of the rows and iterates back up until it finds something that's not either null or empty. Then it iterates back up a few times and grabs those cells. This program works just fine reading in XLSX and XLS files made in Office 2010. I get the following error message: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: empty String at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Double.parseDouble(Unknown Source) at the line: num = Double.parseDouble(str); from the code: str = cell.toString(); if (str != "" || str != null) { System.out.println("Cell is a string"); num = Double.parseDouble(str); } else { System.out.println("Cell is numeric."); num = cell.getNumericCellValue(); } where the cell is the last cell in the document that's not empty or null. When I try to print the first cell that's not empty or null, it prints nothing, so I think I'm not accessing it correctly.

    I am using camel 2.9.0 in my project. We have a number of routes divided into different camel contexts. Each camel context is bundled separately and deployed in Apache Karaf. Now the problem is divied into 2 parts: 1.) Each route is a scheduled route. Although using Quartz component, we are able to define a cron expressio in each route, we want a console where in we can trigger,stop any route and also put a cron expression to any route.(Scheduling a route through a web console is our main objective). 2.) Also we tried to configure the cron expression for each route through quartz.property. But if someone wants to change the cron expression at runtime in Apache Karaf, then we have to stop the bundle deployed and start in again. What can be done to change the value of cron expression at runtime. Any replies and help would be appreciable. Piyush

    Due to a lot of minor errors with the eclipse from the repository( cannot install mylyn or pydev due to unmet dependencies) I manually downloaded from eclipse.org. I have not had this problem before but when I go to ~/eclipse (where I extracted the zip) and try to run eclipse it will not run. From the command line I just get eclipse not installed use sudo apt-get to install it.   • Java crashes on lubuntu but not Ubuntu

    I have lubuntu and Ubuntu partitions on my drive. I've been having an interesting time with the new lubuntu partition. I've encountered strange things with the game Minecraft, Java and graphics drivers on the lubuntu partition. Firstly, I'll say that Minecraft runs fine at about 60fps on the Ubuntu partition with the latest drivers. (This is lower than it should be as it's a pretty decent graphics card [Radeon HD 5700].) When I first started lubuntu, I tried to see if I could get Minecraft running on Java. Java crashed when loading the main game graphics on both Sun and OpenJDK without proprietary drivers. Java also crashed on both Javas with proprietary drivers after the necessary restart. However, after disabling (with 'remove' button) the proprietary drivers with jockey-gtk in the session after the restart to install the drivers, Minecraft ran very well at ~120fps. This didn't continue after another restart, when it ran at 9fps. After failing thereafter on lubuntu to get it working at 15fps, I tried reinstalling lubuntu and installed the exact same driver (the latest one, not the one appearing on jockey) and Java versions as on Ubuntu. That is, now Ubuntu and lubuntu have the same graphics driver and Java version. Minecraft still crashes in the same way on lubuntu but works fine on Ubuntu. I would appreciate any explanation for any of these events. What differences between lubuntu and Ubuntu could cause this? Edit: After installing the 32bit driver version on lubuntu (seeing as lubuntu is 32bit), I have Java "working" for Minecraft. However, it is at <15fps again and it can't log in to servers as it takes too long.

I tried entering the command apt-get install apache2 php5 libapache2-mod-php5. But there was no change.     I have just created a certificate for my Apache SSL host using: make-ssl-cert /usr/share/ssl-cert/ssleay.cnf /etc/ssl/private/myhost.crt Now that is the correct way to get the fingerprint out of it? (So I can keep it in other place for visual comparison---in case I need to connect and really don't trust the network?) openssl sha1 /etc/ssl/private/myhost.crt returns different SHA1 than Opera tells me about the cert. Is this because it's combined with the key? (...or am I spoofed already? :-)).

  • Setup site folders on Apache and PHP [closed]

    I'm trying to set up my first Apache server on my Windows PC at home and I have real trouble finding out which configuration settings go where. I downloaded and installed XAMPP which seemed to get everything nicely set up and can see a working website on http://localhost. So far so good. The point of this is to develop a website of course, and to make my life easier (irony?), I wanted to let the web site root point to my Eclipse project folder. So I opened httpd.conf, uncommented a VirtualHost block and changed its DocumentRoot to my local path. Now when I try to load http://localhost I get a 403 (Access denied) error. So where do I configure permissions for my folder? And is that all I need to let my site run from the folder specified or am I going to have to clear another hurdle?

I have tried many different configurations and none work. After that I type in firefox 127.0.0.1/index.php It says "Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 80" Before my changes it was working fine. How should i run my websites???
