The Ventrilo client just sits on:
MSG: Connectiong server
Usually you get:
MSG: Server available. Press connect
But not on Windows 7 :(
How can I fix this problem?
Edit: I am pretty sure my .htaccess file is NOT being executed, and the problem is NOT with my rewrite rules.
I have not having any luck getting my .htaccess with mod_rewrite working. Basically all I am trying to do is remove 'www' from "http://www.site.com" and "https://www.site.com".
If there is anything I am missing (conf files, etc let me…
I have a MySQL instance containing a number of databases, one of which is an archive database (although using the INNODB rather than ARCHIVE storage engine) that is not queried or written to in normal operation.
The data filesystem is filling up and I'd like to move the archive database's data directory to a different filesystem (and then…
I'm trying to run tftpd from xinetd on CentOS 6; however, I can only tftp from localhost.
I have a file in /opt/tftpboot/fw.test.conf that I can retrieve if I tftp to localhost:

I've got a Windows 2008 server with an app that uses WinHTTP for SSL sessions. The server is isolated from the internet but still tries to connect to CRL distribution points, which leads to some timeouts.
Since the server has no access to the internet whatsoever, I'd like to disable CRL checks.
I had a similar issue on a Windows…
I recently purchased an existing domain name through the site name.com and after I made the payment, I realized that the domain expired about 10 days earlier. Is it legal/good practice to sell already expired domains as-is, or would most domain selling companies also extend the expiration date by an extra year. It wouldn't be such a…
My laptop worked flawlessly before upgrade to Windows 8.1 from 8. Now when I close the lid of my laptop and it goes into hibernation, it will not wake again. The LED lights seem to work properly but I don't get any video. I have to hold the power key to turn off then turn it back on again.
It wakes from sleep properly.

I'm on Windows 7, got a new 2 TiB NON-external hard disk. When I plug it in it doesn't show up on the Disk Management list in the Computer Management window (that you get by right-clicking My Computer and selecting "Manage").
At first I thought it was broken, but I could see it using a friend's computer. I've run a full disk scan…
We're Looking at creating a large fax farm via T.38 (Fax over Voip - hundreds of incoming and outgoing faxes) on linux servers, anyone have any suggestions on what is available? Hello,
At work, we are in the process of migrating over 200 computers from static IPs to DHCP. The DHCP server is configured. My biggest hurdle is physically going to every single computer in the area and configuring them all for DHCP.
I am trying to use netsh to accomplish this. However, I cannot even seem to set one…
Is there a way to modify the whitespace representation characters so I can change it from dots and dashes to something else?
Because I currently have whitespace characters being drawn always, it looks like this. I don't need it turned off, just interested in changing how it's represented.

Im running a webserver where I'm hosting about 6-7 websites. Most of these websites get their content from MySQL which is hosted on the same server. Traffic average per day is about 500-600 unique visitors, about 150K hits per week.

I have 2 versions of a system:
Tomcat webserver

In version 2, nginx only ever talks to Tomcat over HTTP.
A user could configure the system so that only HTTPS requests are allowed. If the user does this in Version 1 and then the XML configuration…
We have an Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition installation (10.2.0.1.0) on a Windows Server 2003 virtual machine. It was initially created with Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 but has now been migrated to Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V.

Hello,
I hope you can help me. I have a site that I'm moving to a new datacenter. The server is pretty much vanilla, no control panel, and also no optimizations. When I hit a page, the site takes an extremely long time to load, despite it being relatively light weight. I ran top to see what was…
I am a newcomer to data warehouses and have what I hope is an easy question about building a star schema:

Fact Table: Point…

I'm running Windows 7 but it doesn't quite work right with Starcraft. (Colors are messed up).
