I thought SQL had clustering built in, but after doing research, it looks like you first have to install Windows clustering and then install SQL on top of that.

• How to delete MS Message Queue from Active Directory - Error A queue with the same path name already

  I deleted a Public Queue from my local box this morning and then went to recreate the queue. When I go to recreate it I get the message: Error: A queue with the same path name already exists From research it appears that the queue gets replicated in the AD and sometimes it doesn't delete. So now the AD admin has to delete this for me, but they don't seem to understand. So how can I get past this error?

  Hey, I'm having trouble with an onboard nvidia gigabit network, under times of heavy load on the network, I'm seeing this error logged: "too many iterations (6) in nv_nic_irq" I'm running Hadoop DFS over these NICs and I see checksum errors build up until the whole thing just fails. I'm running the 2.6.26-2-amd64 kernel, and my initial research seems to imply its a problem with the forcedeth driver. Has anyone run into this problem before? Thanks in advance if anyone can help!   Does anyone know which of the big players (if any) support LDAP/AD users and groups for authentication AND database permissions? Specifically, I'm wondering if SVN, GIT, Mercurial etc. will allow users to login/connect based on AD permissions and also allow granular permissions to be applied to folders within the VC database based on groups within AD. • How do I slow down a video generating new interpolated frames?

  I've used mencoder's speed parameter to generate a video which is played at half the speed. This basically means halving the framerate of the video. But I'm interested in software that could convert a 30fps video to another 30fps video with half the frames interpolated, maybe using the motion information stored in the video stream per se. I think this is called intra-frame interpolation, but I haven't found anything practical other than research papers. Any pointers to such software?

My main operation system is Win 7. when I am hard-wired, I can use internet inside vmware but when I am wireless, I cannot use internet inside vmware... I did a research and found that the network adapter should be on NAT instead of bridge, I tried that but it did not work either.

  What happen if SDHC card get write error (damaged cell / bad sector) ? Whole card is unusable (to trash, all data written to that sector now and in future will be lost) ? or rewrite sector (flash memory get corrupted when writing so maybe have any function to check if sector was written successfully) to another and mark as fault as unusable what will be seen as reduction of capacity but no data lost. I have to do some research about SD card-s on disk less machines. regards

  Do I need a Gigabit port capable wireless router with a 24Mbps down and 7Mbps upload speed cable modem? Does anyone know how to calculate this? FYI, I wont be using the wireless connection from my main computer system. My computer will connect via a hard wire into the router (of the wireless variety), which in turn is connected to the cable modem. My research suggests that the 100 Mbps port can easily handle it. Is that true?

  Has anyone run across any good benchmarks or other research on tuning the ZFS recordsize when putting virtual disk files on it for a guest OS? I'm using VirtualBox at the moment. I have notice significant performance improvement when working with a DBMS by setting the ZFS recordsize to the same as the DB blocksize, so I'm guessing matching the blocksize of the guest filesystem would also be a good idea.

• Update Windows Defender schedule via command line or gpo?

  I'm looking to find a way to update some Windows Defender settings via command line, gpo etc. From my research it looks like windows defender creates a hidden scheduled task named 'MP Scheduled Scan', but modifying this task does not seem to make a difference as to what shows up in the Windows Defender UI. I have also done some process monitoring to see what data Windows Defender uses and I can see that it reads/writes to the 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scan' ScheduleDay key, but if I attempt to modify this key, I get an "Error Writing the new values contents" error message.

  In VLC for Android, i discovered an option to preserve the pitch during faster-than-normal playback: The "requires a fast device" obviously implies that faster playback is more performant when the pitch is changed too. Why is that so? What i've tried: Before posting this question i did some shallow research through Google. According to Wikipedia, there are several methods for faster playback of audio, the "simplest" one (Resampling) changes the pitch.

• Wordpress on shared/grid hosting

  I'm running a basic wordpress site on a GoDaddy Grid Hosting account, and the load times are just terrible (5-15 seconds). I'm considering moving it to an older GoDaddy account I have that still uses standard shared hosting, which seems alot faster, but all of the research I've done points to grid hosting being better. Is this just my account, or has anyone else experienced this? Grid was just as slow when I tried running PHPBB on it as well.

  I have been asked to do some investigation regarding an emergency website response scenario, a critical situation that would bring quintuple website traffic to 30K visits a day for a few days. No one wants to use our current CMS for this, but rather WordPress or something else. The obvious, a static HTML page is out.
