  • Rails - Sending XML or JSON

    I'm new to Rails and trying to send a request to Chargify to cancel a subscription. Their API says I need to send the method DELETE to a xml URL. This isn't a Chargify based question but rather... how would I have a user click a button that then generates this request and sends it within my Rails app? You can view this url to see what I"m trying to do - http://docs.chargify.com/api-subscriptions#cancel. Also it's working fine when I run a command-line test so I know my code works, just now sure how to put it into my Rails app (view/controller). Thanks

    I'm trying to figure out way to send some amount of text from the string ech time until it reach the end of the string, example: const char* the_string = "hello world, i'm happy to meet you all. Output: Let be friends or maybe more Output: , but nothing less stop: no more bytes to send. the problem i have searched google, but didn't understand the examples, i spent 4 days trying find a good way, also that sendt 5 bytes at time, but in case there is less, then send them until you are at the end of the string. please help me out guys, i will accept a C or C++ way, as long it works and well explained.

How do I get two response, then two html page, starting from the same request? is a thing possible?     I'm trying to make an AJAX GET request, but I simply cannot get it to work. I want to retrieve the HTML source of example.com. I've previously used JQuery to send AJAX requests, but I use JQuery only for its AJAX capabilities so it's a waste to include the 30KB file for one task. I was hoping that someone here could help me out in finding why this message won't send. No error is raised, nothing appears in the log (except for the log messages that I make myself in the code). Also, the manifest does have the correct tags. Suggestions?

    hi there. I'm trying to fill-out a form automatically and press a button on that form and wait for a response. How do I go about doing this? To be more particular, I have a a --HUGE-- collection DNA strains which I need to compare to each-other. Luckily, there's a website that does exactly what I need. Basically, I type-in 2 different sequences of DNA and click the "Align Sequences" button and get a result (the calculation of the score is not relevant). Is there a way to make a Java program that will automatically insert the input, "click" the button and read the response from this website? Thanks!

I'm writing an webinterface in codeigniter to send commands to a virtual server. these commands are passed through the browser in an url. example : http://server.com/TgtSendIRCommand?id=UM-02&code=KEY_UP this server then takes action and the web interface refreshes the screenshot. i just want to have a bunch of links in html that send this command to the browser. But if i click the links, the user has to stay on the same page. So the command is sended but there is no other interaction. i am using codeigniter. Any suggestions ?

The method I'm using now to read and write output works fine for smaller strings (up to 60kB) but I get an exception thrown when the string is much longer than that.     I am getting a file "abc.txt" from server and dispaying it in a text area for editing. <div id="filecontents"> <textarea> CONTENTS OF FILE LARGER THAN 10KB </textarea> </div> The contents of the file are potentially large. The user will edit the textarea and add/delete text from any part(not just the end). I want to send ONLY the changes to the server for patching. How do I accomplish this?. Usually I just go to my browser and type anything like: localhost http://localhost 127.0.0.1 mycomputername.local But suddenly, after installing a gem file (compass) none of this is working.   • Does anyone know why rsync would keep sending the files over and over again?

    I'm trying to using rsync to backup some files, about half a TB. It's now it a state where it keeps sending the same files everytime it runs. for example: rsync -av /data/source/* user@host:/data/dest sending incremental file list source/file1.txt source/file2.txt I then verify those files are copied over... then the next time it runs it does the same thing rsync -av /data/source/* user@host:/data/dest sending incremental file list source/file1.txt source/file2.txt any idea why it's getting stuck on these files? I've tried to wipe the whole dest directory out and start over but no luck. thanks,

  • How to get past "sending 'system' (92311 KB)..." when installing ubuntu on Nexus 7

    I'm in the process of installing the Ubuntu image onto my Nexus 7 following these directions. I am on the step 4 and typed in phablet-flash -b and it downloaded some files, erased 'system' and is now on sending 'system' (92311 KB)... However, it has been on this step for about 3 hours now. I am assuming it shouldn't take this long so how can I go about getting out of this and restarting the flash without bricking my device?
