  • Want to back up using dd, but my present ubuntu installation is 149.04 + 3.81(swap) GB, my target drive is only 149.05 GB

    My netbook is a Windows7-Ubuntu 12.04 dual boot. in gparted the strcture looks like Partition filesystem size /dev/sda2 extended 152.86GiB __/dev/sda6 ext4 149.04GiB __/dev/sda5 linux-swap 3.81GiB /dev/sda3 ntfs 100MiB /dev/sda4 ntfs 145.13GiB /dev/sdb1 fat32 149.05GiB I want to backup my ubuntu 12.04 installation that is sda2 (sda6 + sda5) to sdb1. As you can see sda5 +sda6 is 152.86 GB where are sdb1 is only 149.05 GB. Can I backup only sda6(149.04GB) without losing any data? That is to say, will I be able to restore my ubuntu using only sda6 and later add the needed swap? Edit: Made it readable.

  • checking is username exists on two tables PHP PDO?

    Me again. I have a users table and a users_banlist table. On my registration form i want to check all in one query whether the username someone entered on form exists in the users table and see if it also exists on the users_banlist table. I can do them on there own in individual queries but would rather do it all in one. Here is what i got, but even thou i enter a username that is taken it does not tell me its already taken. $stmt = $dbh->prepare(" SELECT users.user_login, users_banlist.user_banlist FROM users , users_banlist WHERE users.user_login = ?     I know that the copy command has an option to automatically replace a file if it already exists, but I want to know if it is a way to copy the files only if they not already exist (/Y). I do not know the actual file names in the batch code, as I copy from the source using wildcards in the copy command: copy *.zip c:\destination The reason I want this instead of automatic overwrite is that the files are large, and to skip existing would save a lot of execution time.

    Hi there, Just built myself a mvvmlight app and if i press f5 TO COMPILE and run all works ok, it displays the wpf window but if i do a BUILD i get an error Error 1 The target "RunCodeAnalysis" does not exist in the project. I am using the visual studio 2010 professional version RTM The only thing i see strange is the target framework which is set to .NET framework 4 client profile Anybody know why this happens??

    I created some tables using MySQL Workbench, and then did forward ‘forward engineer’ to create scripts to create these tables. BUT, the scripts lead me to a number of problems. One of which involves the foreign keys. So I tried creating separate foreign key additions using alter table and I am still getting problems.   • How can I progrommatically change the target framework from 4.0 to 3.5 of a project/solution?

    Edit 3: After more googling it looks like you can't have the TargetFrameworkMoniker property in a .NET 3.5 application. So I guess I should be asking a different question. How do I change the Target framework from 4.0 to 3.5? Unfortunately, I can only find stuff on how to go the other way. or better yet how do i progrommatically set the target framework version of a project to something other than 4.0? Original question: I just switched to vs2010. I have an application that uses .net 3.5. It loads plugins which are generated by a different app. The plugins are using .net 4 and there for cannot be loaded. I'm using EnvDTE.Project to create a project and set the settings. I can't find what setting needs to be set for this. Edit 1: I'm generating code for about 50 solutions. When I made the switch from vs2005 to vs2010 the projects in those solutions are defaulting to .NET Framework 4.0. So I need to set the .NET Framework to 3.5 when I am generating the code for these solutions. Edit 2: After a lot of googling I found this. so then I tried this: loProp = vsGetProperty("TargetFrameworkMoniker"); vsSetValue(loProp, ".NETFramework,Version=v3.5"); the definitions for those two methods are below. as far as I can tell they do the same this as project.Properties.Item("TargetFrameworkMoniker").Value = ".NETFramework,Version=v4.0,Profile=Client"; I start getting an Property Unavailable Exception later in the code. When I remove the new lines everything works except the projects target framework is still 4.0. The problem is that Ninject seems to reference libararies such as System.Web which are NOT in the Client Profile. Can anyone recommend an IOC container that can target the .NET Framework Client Profile (3.5 or 4) ?

error at build time, and a day of google searching has turned up other instances of this error caused by different triggers, and solutions for those propblems didn't work for me. I also found a single report on the Oracle forums that seemed to be a carbon copy of this issue, but there were no replies. The application is written in Weblogic Workshop 10, runs on Weblogic Server 10.3, and uses Beehive / NetUI. Not sure if that would make a difference or not though. The build scripts were automatically generated by Weblogic Workshop, with some tweaks and fixes made to other aspects of the files by myself to fix other compatability issues. I am using Java 1.6.0_23 from Sun, and Ant 1.8.1 Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • SSH multi-hop connections with netcat mode proxy

    Since OpenSSH 5.4 there is a new feature called natcat mode, which allows you to bind STDIN and STDOUT of local SSH client to a TCP port accessible through the remote SSH server. This mode is enabled by simply calling ssh -W [HOST]:[PORT] Theoretically this should be ideal for use in the ProxyCommand setting in per-host SSH configurations, which was previously often used with the nc (netcat) command. ProxyCommand allows you to configure a machine as proxy between you local machine and the target SSH server, for example if the target SSH server is hidden behind a firewall. The problem now is, that instead of working, it throws a cryptic error message in my face: Bad packet length 1397966893. Disconnecting: Packet corrupt Here is an excerpt from my ~/.ssh/config: Host * Protocol 2 ControlMaster auto ControlPath ~/.ssh/cm_socket/%r@%h:%p ControlPersist 4h Host proxy-host proxy-host.my-domain.tld HostName proxy-host.my-domain.tld ForwardAgent yes Host target-server target-server.my-domain.tld HostName target-server.my-domain.tld ProxyCommand ssh -W %h:%p proxy-host ForwardAgent yes As you can see here, I'm using the ControlMaster feature so I don't have to open more than one SSH connection per-host. The client machine I tested this with is an Ubuntu 11.10 (x86_64) and both proxy-host and target-server are Debian Wheezy Beta 3 (x86_64) machines. The error happens when I call ssh target-server.   • Is there a way to control two instantiated systemd services as a single unit?

    I've got a couple python web services I'm trying to run on a Fedora 15 box. They're being run by paster, and the only difference in starting them is the config file they read. This seems like a good fit for systemd's instantiated services, but I'd like to be able to control them as a single unit. A systemd target that requires both services seems like the way to approach that. Starting the target does start both services, but stopping the target leaves them running. Here's the service file: [Unit] Description=AUI Instance on Port %i After=syslog.target [Service] WorkingDirectory=/usr/local/share/aui ExecStart=/opt/cogo/bin/paster serve --log-file=/var/log/aui/%i deploy-%i.ini Restart=always RestartSec=2 User=aui Group=aui [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target And here's the target file: [Unit] Description=AUI [email protected] [email protected] After=syslog.target [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target Is this kind of grouping even possible with systemd?
