  • Reading in a file - Warning Message in R

    I have a file that has 22268 rows BY 2521 columns. When I try to read in the file using this line of code: file <- read.table(textfile, skip=2, header=TRUE, sep="\t", fill=TRUE, blank.lines.skip=FALSE) I get the following error: Warning message: In scan(file, what, nmax, sep, dec, quote, skip, nlines, na.strings, : number of items read is not a multiple of the number of columns I also used this command to see what rows had an incorrect number of columns: x <-count.fields("train.gct", sep="\t", skip=2) which(x != 2521) and got back a list of about 20 rows that were incorrect. Is there a way to fill these rows with NA values? I thought that is what the "fill" parameter does in the read.table function, but it doesn't appear so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     i made a simple .htaccess file to expose the problem. I want that all request made to the folder redirect to a subfolder file "app/index.php" RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*) app/index.php [QSA] And this works fine on with the basic url of my hoster (like http//myname.hosting.com/htaccessFolder The problem is that i have a domain pointing on this folder, and when accessed to it, server return Internal Server Error 500. If i do this : RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*) somefile.php [QSA] Redirection works only when file does not exists (404 not found error occured). when the file exists i get a 500 error too. I've asked the hosting support without success for the moment..

    I have a file delimited by space. I need to write an awk command that receives a host name argument and it should replace the host name if it already defined in the file. It must be a full match not partially - if the file contains this host name: localhost searching for "ho" will fail and it will be added to the end of the file. another option is a delete: again awk receives host name argument and it should remove it from the file if exists.     Hi, ok, I managed to read from xml file using NSXMLParser but now i don't know how to write to xml file. I have a xml file , say <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <root> <user id="abcd" password="pass1"/> <user id="efg" password="pass2"/> </root> Now when a new user enters details, I want to store them in a new tag.. lets say like, the id is "hhhh" and password is"pass3" I want to add a new tag with attributes as such <user id="hhhh" password="pass3"/> to the xml file. How should I do this. Please explain in an elaborate way . I am a newbie here. Any links to tutorials or examples will be much helpful. Thanks

    I am trying to copy from a file X to this name C:\RIP2\France Clidat\Les Plus Belles Oeuvres - France Clidat\(01)3_ Un Sospiro.flac I have checked that there is no bad characters, If I force directorires it creates C:\RIP2\France Clidat\Les Plus Belles Oeuvres - France Clidat but it refuses to write the file and I do not understand why a simple test procedure foo(str: string); var f:File; begin Assign(f,str); Rewrite(f); CloseFile(f); end; will crash saying it is not a valid file name but it is! If I remove ALL blank spaces it works I am lost please Help

  • Launching default browser with html from file, then jump to specific anchor

    I need to open an html file from the program root directory and have it jump to a specified anchor. I can open the file perfectly fine with a simple System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("site.html") but as soon as I try to add the anchor to the end it ceases to be able to find the file. I was able to put the anchor in there and still have it launch with string Anchor Anchor = "file:///" + Environment.CurrentDirectory.ToString().Replace("\", "/") + "/site.html#Anchor"; System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(Anchor); However as soon as the browser launches it drops the anchor. Any suggestions?

    I'm trying to import one of the GWT samples into Eclipse by following the instructions below. But when I browse to the directory containing the "Hello" sample and uncheck "Copy projects into workspace", the Finish button is grayed out, preventing me from completing the import. Any ideas why? -- Option A: Import your project into Eclipse (recommended) -- If you use Eclipse, you can simply import the generated project into Eclipse. We've tested against Eclipse 3.3 and 3.4. Later versions will likely also work, earlier versions may not. In Eclipse, go to the File menu and choose: File - Import... - Existing Projects into Workspace Browse to the directory containing this file, select "Hello". Be sure to uncheck "Copy projects into workspace" if it is checked. Click Finish.

    if getChildHtml('product_type_data') ? maps directly to catalog/product/view/type/simple.phtml by default, how do I map to my own file? If I wanted to create a file that would produce a small image to place on the product page, right under "availability" how would I tell magento to map to where I have put the file? From what I understand getChildHtml('product_type_data') ? defaults to the file path: catalog/product/view/type/simple.phtml so how can I customize the magento defaults and tell it to map to my custom files i've created? I hope I have explained this well enough, if not, please let me know and I will try to explain more. Any help or guidance would be awesome. Thanks.

    Hi All I am not able to see the product/file version information, copyright information of ".so" files in Win2k8-R2. I am logged in as administrator. If i rename the same file to have it extension to some other ie. ".dll" or ".txt", then i am able to see all the information (file/version info, copyright info). Is it expected for Win2k8-R2.     Hi all, I have an application which takes live data from internet, I want to develop another application which reads data from the internet and writes it to an XML file (i.e. I want to save the state in an XML file). THE ONLY THING I NEED IS HOW TO WRITE THIS DATA IN AN XML FILE. FOR EXAMPLE say I have a combo box which takes top 10 fifa world cup watching sites, now I want to write this information (i.e. whatever the data this combo box takes as input into an xml file).   • PHP find if file data is an image

    Imagine I have some file data in a variable $data. I need to determine whether it is an image or not. No need for details such as corrupt images etc. Firs thought would be getting the file mime type by looking at the magic number and then see whether "image" is in the mime type. No such luck, even if I have a "file extension to mime type" script, I don't have a reliable way to get mime from magic number. My next option was to have a reasonable list of image file magic numbers and consult them. However, it relatively difficult to find such magic numbers (gif for instance has different magic numbers, some of which could pretty rare - if memory serves me right). A better idea would be some linux program which can do this kind of thing. Any ideas? I'm running RHEL and PHP 5.3. I've got root access - ie able to install stuff if needed. - Chris.
