  • Using tab key to navigate google search results

    Google the phrase "Humans vs zombies" (just used for an example here, phrase doesn't matter). When you see the search results, put your fingers on the keyboard, and press tab until you get to the first result. It takes me over 10 tabs to get through the "images", "videos", "maps", "advanced search" and other links. (Do you get the same results?) How can I get it so pressing the tab key the first time takes me to the first link? I'm using FF 3.6. How might I be able to greasemonkey this?

  • StringBuffer wont read whole stream into a string (JAVA/Android)

    Hi all! I'm making an android program that retrieves content of a webpage using HttpURLConnection. I'm new to both Java and Android. Problem is: Reader reads whole page source, but in the last while iteration it doesn't append to stringBuffer that last part. Using debbuger I have determined that, in the last loop iteration, string buff is created, but stringBuffer just doesnt append it. I need to parse retrieved content. Is there any better way to handle the content for parsing than using strings. I've read on numerous other sites that string size in Java is limited only by available heap size. I've tried with StringBuilder too. Anyone know what could be the problem. Btw feel free to suggest any improvements to the code. Thanks!     I'm having problems uploading an app to the google-app-engine from my work place. I believe the problem is related to proxy, because I do not see the same problem when following the same procedure from home. (I do not specify HTTP_PROXY from home). These are the commands I run: HTTP_PROXY=http://proxy.<thehostname>.com:8080 HTTP_PROXY=https://proxy.<thehostname>.com:8080 appcfg.py --insecure update myappfolder When running the commands I get prompted for email and password, as expected, but after that it immediately exits with this errormessage: Error 302: --- begin server output --- <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Moved Temporarily</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF" TEXT="#000000"> <H1>Moved Temporarily</H1> The document has moved <A HREF="https://www.google.com/accounts/ClientLogin">here</A>. </BODY> </HTML> --- end server output --- Note: I added the --insecure option because else it gave a warning of missing ssl module.   • Optimizing tiled maps in cocos2d-iphone

    My cocos2d-iphone game has tiled maps. The tilesets textures are rather big. I got around 5 tilesets and each one is 2048x2048 (retina). My maps are around 80x80. They have around 8 layers and each one is obviously using one tileset. The frame rate falls (it goes around 30 sometimes. I know 30 is rather aceptable, but still, I want 50+). So given that textures are huge I can't afford to make many layers (since each one loads a texture of these). So how about I divide my tileset textures into much smaller tilesets (like 1024x1024 each)? That will allow me to use many more layers for my maps, right? Are there any other tips for huge retina display tile maps?

    Long story short: I want to add the --core-library flag at compile time to include a library that depends on some javax libraries that aren't included in the android platform. I have attempted the walkthrough here: http://commons.apache.org/scxml/usecases/scxml-stopwatch-on-android.html but nothing ever changed on the emulator. I don't think I can repackage the libraries I'm after because I cannot amend the callers to call the new packages without violating a license agreement. Please, someone, point me in the right direction.
