  • How to ignore expired certificates from outside a Java application?

    We have a Java application that we need to ignore an expired self-signed cert, however we cannot modify the code to do this. I wondering if there was a System Property or environment variable that we could provide at start up that would allow us to have all expired cert's ignored for now, or even be more specific and provide externally the specific cert that we would like to have the expiration ignored. Anyone have any ideas that would work?

  • Tray Icons Keep On Popping Up

    I have a WinForm program that checks a database for changes, and if there are any, it will open another WinForm telling the user what is happening (the popup WinForm has some special functionality making a MessageBox insufficient for this task). Each time one of these popup WinForms shows up, a new icon shows up in the system tray and does not go away even if you hover over it (this isn't a tray refresh issue). What I'm wondering is how to get the popup WinForm to display no tray icon at all.

  • error loading (TypeLoadException) on asp.net/xsp/mono on debian/opensuse

    When i reset apache and load my website i get the first error below. I have no idea what the problem is. If i reload the page again (without restarting apache) i get the 2nd error, probably because the first error occurred and BaseUser is the first class/func that Application_Start uses. Why am i getting this load exception? Whats messed up is i tried using mono's VMWare img to debug it and i got the very same exception (until i restarted which now refuses to give me anything but 404 errors). However when i use mono develop to run the project the site runs PERFECT. WTF. Any ideas? Server Error in '/' Application A type load exception has occurred. Description: HTTP 500.   • Start a git commit message with a hashmark (#)

    Git treats lines starting with # as comment lines when committing. this is very annoying when working with a ticket tracking system, and trying to write the ticket number at the beginning of the line, e.g. #123 salt hashed passwords git will simply remove the line from the commit message. is there any way to escape the hash? i tried \ and !, but nothing works. whitespaces before # are preserved, so they aren't a working solution to the problem either.
