    I need to map to create controller what must response to two urls: "http://localhost/api/controller?id=1" (where only id value can change) "http://localhost/api/controller/anotherId/someconst" (where anotherId is the only one changing part) i map it to such route: routes.MapHttpRoute("Test", "api/{controller}/{id}/{someconst}", new { controller = "Test", someconst = RouteParameter.Optional }); And have to methods in my controller: public void Get(int id) { ... } public void Get(int anotherId, string someconst ) { ... } It works...But it doesn't look nice...cause "string someconst" is not a param, it's just a const part of url. But if i remove "string someconst" param second url wouldn't work. Is it possible to map one controller to two routes to resolve this urls to make it clear without fake param which is a const in fact?

  • Error 424 from Twitter API

    I'm experitmenting with the Twitter API (OAuth). I have a test bed that can tweet from my dev box, but fails in production. I get a status code of 424 returned when trying to tweet. I can't spot the difference between my live environment and my dev environment so really need to understand what a '424' is, but can find no documentation relating to it.

Is there another method to do this?

  • Detecting Available Qualities of YouTube Videos

    I'm writing a Boxee app that makes use of YouTube videos and I want to be able to display the highest quality version available. I was looking through the YouTube API, but I can't seem to find a way to detect if 720p and/or 1080p versions of the video are available. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm already using their Data API to collection information about the video, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the payload about different qualities consumable on the web: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/NWHfY_lvKIQ I could just hard code fmt=22 and let it default to a lesser quality version, but then I miss out on 1080p (fmt=387).

  • Chrome: automatically redirect me to highest ranking search result, like Firefox does

    How to emulate the Firefox (I'm using v3.6) address bar search redirection in Google Chrome? For example, if I type... imdb moon ...to the address bar and press Return in Firefox then it redirects me straight to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/ (and I've not visited the page before) When I try this is Chrome then I just get the google search page http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=imdb+moon So seems like Firefox redirects automatically to the highest ranking search result URL - is there a setting or add-on for Chrome to achieve the same behaviour?

    Hello All, I'm trying to familiarize myself with Facebook's new Graph API and so far I can fetch and write some data pretty easily. Something I'm struggling to find decent documentation on is uploading images to an album. According to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api#publishing you need to supply the message argument. But I'm not quite sure how to construct it.     I have a web app "myapp.com" that users can use to set up their own websites. Our application is written in php and should be able to do the following: send mails to our own users "from: [email protected]" send mails from our clients to their clients "from: [email protected]" We don't need to take care of incoming mails, just send out mails with the correct from and reply-to addresses. We cannot make this work using Google Apps (limited to our own domain in the from-field) and we cannot make google apps or google apps domains for all our clients, so we are looking for another simple to manage and set up solution. Currently am running this code here: //Youtube Videos Pull Down $youtubeURL = "http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos?alt=json&q=cats+cradle+chapel+hill&orderby=published&max-results=10&v=2"; $youtubeSearch = file_get_contents($youtubeURL, true); $youtubeArray = json_decode($youtubeSearch, true); Not having any problems accessing certain elements of the associative array however youtube's api is putting $ in many of its array elements .. such as [media$group] Anytime I try to access an array with one of the $ elements in it, it doesn't work. Suggestions? I have tried preg_replace but can't seem to get my expression right.

    Using the Twitter REST API Method: favorites for a user, this returns a list of statuses of each favourite. Is there a way to get the favourite count other than calling users/show, and accessing the property this way? Seems an ineffecient way of determining if there are more than 20 favourites for paging purposes.
