  hi there when i build my web site it was handling only one interface but now i need to handle many interface i can detect which site to communicate and isolate it from other sites but i stuck with this : all the sites have the same views ... is there are a way so i can rander from the same controller different views .. something like application application controller model site_1_view site_2_view is this possible ??!!

  I'm trying to have rails send the contents of my database to an external textfile. I wanted this done everytime a new user is created. However, when i try to do the following in my user.rb model file, before_save :write_data def write_data() File.open("data.txt", "w") do |myfile| myfile.write(User.all) end end It doesn't write the actual contents of the database, instead, it displays something like this User:0x109858540 Can anyone help? As I understand it when using LINQ to SQL the view code will know which field is the primary key. • Polymorphic association inserts 0 instead of raising error when column is misconfigured as Integer

  Here's one that stumped me for a while, though in retrospect it should have been obvious. I was getting the error message NoMethodError: undefined method `constantize' for 0:Fixnum when accessing a model through a polymorphic association. Turns out the table on the belongs_to side of the association had an integer type column instead of a string. Easily fixed, but it seems like Rails ought to raise an error in this situation -- instead it happily adds the row with 0 in the type column.
