  • merge() multiple data frames (do.call ?)

    Hi everyone, here's my very simple question: merge() only takes two data frames as input. I need to merge a series of data frames from a list, using the same keys for every merge operation. Given a list named "test", I want to do something like: do.call("merge", test). I could write some kind of loop, but I'm wondering if there's a standard or built-in way to do this more efficiently. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!   • htaccess Redirect 301 problem .. all redirects with one string fail to redirect and 404

    So I have moved a website and am trying to 301 redirect everything, which I do quite often so this is a weird problem but probably something stupid I'm not seeing. ALL of my redirects are working fine, except any redirect that the first string starts with "/Dining" or "/dining" are failing. For example, this redirect works fine- Redirect 301 /healthfitness/teeth.cfm /healthcare/pretty-teeth ...as well as 100s of others.   • Integrating Search Server 2008 Express with WSS 3.0

    I'm setting up the environment for an intranet using WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) 3.0. The catch is getting the environment configured to work with MS Search Server 2008 Express. Here's the environment I'd like to setup: A: Web Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; WSS 3.0 SP2; IIS 6.0; .NET 3.5 SP1 B: Search Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; WSS 3.0 SP2; IIS 6.0; .NET 3.5 SP1; Search Server 2008 Express C: Database Server; Win Server 2003 SP2; SQL Server 2000 SP3 - Admin db, Content db, Config db, Search db The question is whether 3 servers can be used like the above configuration or if the Search Server (B) has to be combined with (A) since we're using the free Express version of the Search Server. The documentation from MS doesn't make it clear either way. I can attack this problem with trial and error but would rather not. The bigger question is: What is the best practice for a WSS / Search Server installation?

  • Separate "Year" to several worksheets according to one column....

    hello! This task is driving me mad... please help! Instead of manually type in the data, i have used VBA to find the year range, put into one column and delete all duplicate ones. But since excel could give more than 20 years, it would be tedious to do all the filtering manually. AND, now i need excel to separate the rows that contain the specific year range in any one the three columns and put them into a new sheet. e.g. The years that excel could find in the three columns(F:H) are ( 2001,2003,2006,2010, 2012,2020.....2033).. and they are pasted in column "S" in sheet 1. How could i tell excel create new sheets for the years ( sheets 2001, sheets 2003, sheet2006....),search through column (F:H) in sheet 1 to see if ANY of those columns contain that year, and paste them into the new sheet. To be more specific, in the newly created "Sheet 2001", the entire row where column(F:H) contains "2001" should be pasted. and in the newly created "Sheet 2033", the entire row where column(F:H) contains "2033" should be pasted..     I just set up LogRotate on my RHEL6 server so that it rotates my custom Apache log files. However, it doesn't do anything when i try manually running it. I expect it to rotate the log files "access.log" and "err.log". They have been there for a few days and need to be rotated.   • "Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL..." error when developing for Facebook Open Grap

    Chrome (or any other webkit browser) throws a ton of these "Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL..." when working with the Facebook Open Graph API. It doesn't interfere with actual operation, but it does make the javascript console basically unusable. I'd like to know if there is a way to suppress warnings in the console? Or if there are other solutions you guys can think of, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

    I want to make a simple sql trigger on inserts... something like this CREATE TRIGGER filter AFTER INSERT ON table FOR EACH ROW DELETE FROM table WHERE field LIKE "%chicken%" OR field LIKE "%egg%"; After running it through phpMyAdmin 3.2.4 & MySQL 5.0.45 you get an error that says #1227 - Access denied; you need the SUPER privilege for this operation Is this syntax wrong or do I have to change something else to get past this error?

  • can I access a struct inside of a struct without using the dot operator?

    I have 2 structures that have 90% of their fields the same. I want to group those fields in a structure but I do not want to use the dot operator to access them. The reason is I already coded with the first structure and have just created the second one. before: struct{ int a; int b; int c; object1 name; } str1; struct{ int a; int b; int c; object2 name; } str2; now I would create a third struct: struct{ int a; int b; int c; } str3; and would change the str1 and atr2 to this: struct{ str3 str; object1 name; } str1; struct { str3 str; object2 name; } str2; Finally I would like to be able to access a,b and c by doing: str1 myStruct; myStruct.a; myStruct.b; myStruct.c; and not: myStruct.str.a; myStruct.str.b; myStruct.str.c; Is there a way to do such a thing. The reason for doing this is I want keep the integrety of the data if chnges to the struct were to occur and to not repeat myself and not have to change my existing code and not have fields nested too deeply.     Hello, I currently develop an application in C# with framework .NET 3.5 SP1. In my app, I have satellite assemblies which are not in the same folder as the exe, and that causes me some trouble with FullTrust, as explained here. In order to solve that problem, I wish to use .NET 4.0 whose Code Access Security Policy should allow my satellite assemblies to be FullyTrusted. So my question is: is just installing the framework enough, or do I need to rebuild the solution with VS2010? Thanks

    In the example below: I start program, type text, click button, see text above. Press ENTER see text again. BUT: I start program, type text, press ENTER, see no text. It seems that the KeyDown event doesn't get access to the current value of the bound variable, as if it is always "one behind".   • I want to better organize my website files, but I can access the .php files using the folder heirarc

    For example, to access a page in my search folder, I have to write: mywebsite.tld/search/searchJob.php I don't want users to have to write down folder structure and whatnot. What can I do to change this? OR, is there a better way to organize my files? Because I'm only two pages in and I decided to move some files and got lost in the heirarchy (that's why I moved them like in the picture).

I am wondering what the best HTTP error code to throw in the case of unauthorised access? Would a 404 not found, or a 403 unauthorised be better? I am leaning towards the 403, but would it be better to hide the fact that the resource exists to unauthorised users be better?

IWebBrowser2 exposes the DOM through IWebBrowser2::Document, but this is equivalent to window.document. Is there any way I can get access to window or window.onresize?

In the ApplicationSettings section of the app.config for the parent assembly I have some settings that can be accessed in the normal intellisense manner (e.g. Properties.Settings.Default.SMTPServer). How do I access these settings from the referenced dll? I obviously can't use intellisense as they are not in the same assembly!
