  • Visual Studio 2010 : Cant change target. Gives TargetFrameworkMoniker Error.

    I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?

  • SOAP logging axis2

    Using axis1 it is possible to log incoming/outgoing soap messages by adding logging on HTTPSender in log4j.properties. After migrating to axis2 (version 1.4.1) I have a hard time figuring out how to accomplish the same kind of logging. I have tried to add logging on the axis2 package and org.apache.commons.httpclient but no logging is provided. Any ideas? TIA

  • LXC Container Networking

    I just started to experiment with LXC containers. I was able to create a container and start it up but I cannot get dhcp to assign the container an IP address. If I assign a static address the container can ping the host IP but not outside the host IP. The host is CentOS 6.5 and the guest is Ubuntu 14.04LTS. I used the template downloaded by lxc-create -t download -n cn-01 command. If I am trying to get an IP address on the same subnet as the host I don't believe I should need the IP tables rule for masquerading but I added it anyways. Same with IP forwarding.   • Issues accessing an object's array values - returns null or 0s

    The function below should return an array of objects with this structure: TopicFrequency = { name: "Chemistry", //This is dependent on topic data: [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12] //This would be real data }; so when I do this: myData = this.getChartData("line"); it should return two objects: {name : "Chemistry", data : [1,2,3,4,51,12,0,0, 2,1,41, 31]} {name : "Math", data : [0,0,41,4,51,12,0,0, 2,1,41, 90]} so when I do console.log(myData); it's perfect, returns exactly this. However when I do console.log(myData[0].data) it returns all 0s, not the values. I'm not sure what this issues is known as, and my question is simple what is this problem known as? Here is the full function. Somethings were hardcoded and other variables (notable server and queryContent) removed. Those parts worked fine, it is only when manipulated/retreiving the returned array's values that I run into problems.   • C# Windows Service Multiple Config Files

    Quick Question Is it possible to have more than 1 config file in a windows service? Or is there some way I can merge them at run time? Scenario Currently I have two config files containing the below contents. After I build and install my Windows Service, I can't get my custom XML Parser class to read the content because it keeps pointing to the wrong config file, even though I am using a few lines of code to ensure it gets the right name of the config file I need to access. ALSO When I navigate to the folder in which the service is installed, there is only sign of the normal APP.Config file, and no sign of the custom config file. (I have even set the normal ones properties to "Do Not Copy" and the custom ones properties to "Copy Always").   • How to remove an entry from Chrome's Remembered URLs from the url bar?

    I've got a url in Chrome "local.mysite.com" that autopopulates when I start typing "local.my" into the URL bar. Note that this URL DOES NOT EXIST in my browser history (at chrome://history/#e=1&p=0) because it isn't a real site and therefor couldn't ever be successfully visited and therefor never shows up in my history. The URL I want is "local.mysite.com/subdir/". That URL is like 3 down in the suggested results because I keep accidentally hitting "enter" when it auto-suggests the unwanted first URL and thus re-enforcing it's assumption that that is the one I want. How do I get rid of the "local.mysite.com" entry in Chrome's memory?

  • QuickTimeInstaller causing me buckets of issues

    Today I saw this message: After it installed and I rebooted, I was getting the Blue Screen of Death every few clicks. So...to resolve, I restored to a Restore Point when all was working, 2 days ago. Then, QuickTime reappeared and tried to reinstall itself. Is this iTunes related? or might it be related to Windows Live Messenger? Any suggestions on how to stop this auto installation? Update: Rolling back to a previous Restore Point temporarily fixed the issue but the patch was automatically applied a second time. Then, I made the horrible mistake of uninstalling iTunes and this caused my previous old restore point to be wiped away because of a limited amount of space that I alloted to the Windows Restore functionality. I fear that I will be faced with many issues ahead... Please help

  • Accordion "growing out" from its container - in IE7/8

    I think this problem is best explained by images. This is how my accordion looks: When you click on the small plus/minus icons the slides under each chapter will expand/collapse. However when the content in the accordion grows too tall, it grows out from its container. So if I click on more plus icons the accordion will look like this (not pretty): As you can see, the container is not growing taller together with the accordion and it does not look good. This problem only occurs in IE7 and IE8. It works in Firefox and Chrome.     I am using a list to keep track of a number of custom Row objects as follows: Public Rows As List(Of Row)() Row has 2 properties, Key (a String) and Cells (an ArrayList). I need to be able to sort each Row within Rows based on a developer defined index of the Cells ArrayList. So for example based on the following Rows Row1.Cells = ("b", "12") Row2.Cells = ("a", "23") Rows.Sort(0) would result in Row2 being first in the Rows list. What would be the best way of going about implementing this? Thanks

  • Linux File Permissions & Access Control Query

    Hi, Lets say I am user: bob & group: users. There is this file: -rw----r-- 1 root users 4 May 8 22:34 testfile First question, why can't bob read the file as it's readable by others? Is it simply that if you are denied by group, then you are auto-blacklisted for others? I always assumed that the final 3 bits too precedence over user/group permission bits, guess I was wrong... Second question, how is this implemented? I suppose it's linked to the first query, but how does this work in relation to Access Control, is it related to how ACLs work / are queried? Just trying to understand how these 9 permission bits are actually implemented/used in Linux. Thanks alot.

  • XAMPP won't start Apache on Mac OS

    When I try starting Apache from the XAMPP control panel (Mac OSX Snow Leopard), I get the following error popup and Apache won't start: /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/apachectl: line 70: ulimit: open files: cannot modify limit: Invalid argument (48)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80 XAMPP was running perfectly 10 minutes earlier. I stopped Apache to add some .conf files and it failed on restart. I removed all the new .conf files (i.e. reverted it to how it was before) but now I get the above message. EDIT: I've checked AppMonitor and I see the "httpd" processes (one by _www nested within root). Just tried quitting these but they're auto-restarted on new process IDs and it didn't solve the problem.

  • How can I remap control+e to escape+control+e in iTerm2?

    I have set up a few custom keyboard shortcuts in iTerm2 to easily move the cursor around with the arrow keys, but now I'd like to remap control+e to be escape, control+e because bash 4.2 no longer auto-expands variables using the tab key. I know I've done the first part correctly in choosing the keyboard shortcut to remap, but I don't understand how to look up the correct escape sequence (or hex codes) to send in the bottom section: I reference they keyboard codes but that wasn't much help. How can I remap this, and how can I look up the codes in the future? (No luck with Google) Update @db - thanks. Here for testing i wl build the application in Windows XP OS and copy the exe in to system containg the Windowsserver 2008 machine and replace it So what i did is i added a manifest like this name of that is myproject.exe.manifest My project has 3 folders like Headerfile,Resourcefile and Source file.I added this manifest(myproject.exe.manifest) in the Sourcefile folder containing other cpp and c code <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="4.0" processorArchitecture="X7460" name="myproject" type="win32"/> <description>myproject Problem</description> <!-- Identify the application security requirements. --> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false"/> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> </assembly> then i added this line of code in Resourcefile(.rc).Means one header file is there(Myproject.h).I added the line of code there #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" Finally i did the following step Under Project, select Properties. 3. In Properties, select Manifest Tool, and then select Input and Output. 4. Add in the name of your application manifest file under Additional manifest files. 5. Rebuild your application. But i am getting lot of Syntax errors Is there any problems in the way which i followed.If i commented the line #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" which added in Myproject.h for adding values in .rc file there willnot any error other than this general error c1010070: Failed to load and parse the manifest.   • How do I move an Amazon micro instance to a small instance?

    I want to move my instance to a micro instance to a small instance but when I try to launch a new AMI based on my Micro instance AMI it only gives me the option for 64 bit instances. My initial ami is based off an ubuntu 10.04 image. Is it not possible to move between 64 bit and 32 bit instance? Would it be possible to use a load balancer to have a 32bit instance and a 64bit instance work together? I have a website/web app that I will be uploading huge volumes of data to. I will be starting with 65gigs of images and then moving up to 100+ gigs of images. I am not sure which instance type would be best for this. I was going to use a load balancer and auto scaling to increase the number of instance when the load is high. Also when using a load balancer, does one of the AMI instance become the primary image and the rest act as clones of it?
