For a custom made IE toolbar, can I simply call SetRedraw() from onDocumentComplete() ?
Does it allowable? or will it work if I put some Sendmessage inside SetRedraw()?
I want to write a custom ValidationAttribute that checks if the given value is unique or not.
The problem is that in the edit screen, it is not guaranteed that the user actually changed the value, resulting in a false error.
Is there a way to check in my attribute whether the value actually changed? Or can I trigger the attribute only when the value has changed?
I'm getting the feeling this requirement maybe just doesn't belong in an attribute?
In VS 2008 setup/deployment project, is there any way to add a custom error dialog (or customize the existing one) to handle errors encountered during the installation process?
Hi
I need to write my own binary raw data to a flash drive (like a disk on key) or a floppy using C#. The result will be my custom file system from my program.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I would like to use my custom NSManagedObject like a normal object (as well as its regular functions). Is it possible to modify the class in order to be able to initialize it like a normal object?
[[myManagedObject alloc] init];
Thanks
edit: to clarify the question, will it screw everything up if I change the @dynamic with @synthesize in the implementation?
As far as I can see the key advantage of dynamic languages like Ruby or Python over Java/Scala/C# etc is "hot" applying of your changes to source code to the running application. What are the frameworks for JVM or .NET that support the same workflow - apply changes to configuration and source code on the fly? Can they also watch changes to custom configurations and notify application?
Note: Frameworks for dynamic languages on JVM/.NET like Grails or Compojure are out of scope here.
The code I'm working with has a class called Environment that is not in any namespace. Unfortunately if I am in a class that imports the System namespace, there is no way to refer to the custom class called Environment. I know this was an unfortunate choice and should be refactored, but is there any way I can explicitly refer to the conflicting class?
In C++ it seems the way to do this is by using ::, and in Java there is something called global:: How do I do it in C#?
In my app a user clicks a link to another page. I'd like to track that in Omniture with a custom event, so I've bound the omniture s.t() event to the click event. How can I make certain the event fires before the next page is requested?
I've considered event.preventDefault() on the click event of the link, but I actually want the original event to occur, just not immediately.
In the C++ Standard Library, std::string has a public member function capacity() which returns the size of the internal allocated storage, a value greater than or equal to the number of characters in the string (according to here). What can this value be used for? Does it have something to do with custom allocators?
I've created a custom control that subclasses TreeView. Right now it's completely empty, doesn't override anything. However when I place an instance in the designer the 'Auto' value for the Width and Height fields is no longer available as it is with the default TreeView. What am I missing?

Hello everybody,
I implemented a custom DateTimePicker. On the DateTimePicker there is a button. In the examples I've found it's width is set to 16. This is working but I would like to have a dynamic approach.
So, is there a way to get the size of this button or is there a general way to get information about .Net-Control sub elements like size etc.?
Trying DateTimePicker.Controls didn't help me (it's empty).
Is there a way to get the form active control?
I was checking in the help for the "Support.GetActiveControl" method but it isn't supported :) for the Compact Framework.
I suppose that I can track the focus by adding a custom GotFocus event handler to all the form controls, but I'm looking for a more generic way that can be implemented for any form.
I have a selection for some items using a spinner widget. At the moment the spinner will load a simple Textview and show the name of the item.
It is possible to define an own view to show inside the spinner row? I would suspect it being similar to a custom List row.
I simply want to show an individual icon left from the spinner text for each item in the list.
I have a picture in Powerpoint 2003, how do I change the picture without having to delete it and re-add it?
I need to save all the animations and it's going to take about 5 hours to re add them, but only like 20 mins if I change the pictures.
Or if there is anyway to copy a custom animation set to another picture that would also be ace
autoexp.dat does not seem to take affect in Visual Studio C++ 2005 debugger.
I am not trying to add any custom rules. Just want commonly used stuff like stl::string, to display in a friendlier manner.
Does anyone know. how I can accomplish this? Is this just question of specifying a path to the autoexp.dat file somewhere. The file is available under the Visual Studio installation directory.

I have looked through the documentation but can only find how to change the background and text color.

How do you install Tomcat 6 as a service using the Wix ServiceInstall Tag? Is there a way to do it, or do I need to use a custom action to call the executable or batch file that comes with it to install the service?
Does anyone know off hand what order Drupal executes it's _cron hooks? It is important for a certain custom module I am developing and can't seem to find any documentation on it on the web. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing!

Hi friends,
I have a div tag and I am populating the search results on a custom grid, which is placed inside this divtag.
When a user click on the search button, i am displaying the results in the above mentioned div tag.
I have a requirement to close the above div tag when the user clicks outside the div tag.
It is similar to google search auto comlete.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
I'm quite new to flex/actionscript and I was wondering if there is an equivalent for php's (and other languages) FILE and LINE identifiers?
Basicly I want to do some custom error logging and would like to something like:
var mymessage:String = 'Oops, a hiccup occured at ' + __FILE__ + ', line: ' + __LINE__;
Where file and line would ofcourse be substituted for their values at compile time.
Is this possible?
Our motor pool wants to scan drivers’ licenses and have the data imported into our custom system. We're looking for something that will allow us to programmatically get the data from the scanner (including the picture) and let us insert it into our application. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this type of system and could recommend one or tell us which ones to avoid. Our application is written in PowerBuilder and uses a DB2 database.
