  • Sudoers file allow sudo on specific file for active directory group

    I have active directory sign in working on an Ubuntu 12.04 box. When the user signs in, I have a script that runs that needs sudo permission (since it modifies the samba config file). How would I specify this in my sudoer's file? I've tried: %DOMAIN\\AD+Programmers ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/createSambaShare.php I've found various resources on the internet stating that this is how it would be done, but I'm not sure that I have the first part right. What are they using as the DOMAIN? The workgroup or the realm? I use Samba + winbind for active directory integration. Here's my smb.conf: [global] security = ads netbios name = hostname realm = COMPANYNAME.COM password server = passwordserver workgroup = COMPANYNAME idmap uid = 1000-10000 idmap gid = 1000-10000 winbind separator = + winbind enum users = no winbind enum groups = no winbind use default domain = yes template homedir = /home/%D/%U template shell = /bin/bash client use spnego = yes domain master = no EDIT: The users that should have access to run that script are all part of the Programmers group which has an Active Directory Domain Services Folder of Company.com/Staff/Security Groups (not sure if that matters or not).

  • SharePoint 2010 Enterprise wiki - [New page] missing

    I am trying to ramp up knowledge on SharePoint deployment and usage (never did before), due to a direction to use SharePoint 2010 as a repository platform (wiki format) for our customer's infrastructure documentation. In my test virtual server, a new site of Enterprise wiki template was setup. Went into Site Actions Manage Site Features to activate Wiki Page Home Page. The default sub-web then went from /Pages to /SitePages and looks like the default Team template. The odd thing is the Site Actions is missing the New Page option. My colleague does not understand why this is the case, as it ought to be there. The original /Pages sub-web does have the option. What conditions are in play that influences the appearance of that option? UPDATE Another phenomenon observed is in the Site Actions View All Site Content view, the wiki document libraries listed in the grid will have their hyperlink (e.g. "Site Pages") lead straight to the direct default page. It would not show its own table listing of pages under that document library, unlike the original Pages document library, which expectedly show up as a listing. I wonder if this hints to any problems.

  • Virtualmin: Automatically create SSL based website with a shared SSL wildcard cert?

    I managed to configure this very nicely under cPanel/WHM, but I am having trouble configuring it under Virtualmin: when I create a new Virtual Server in Virtualmin, I want it to automatically create an Apache with a subdomain of a shared wildcard SSL domain. So for example, if I create a virtual server for some.example.com, I want two VirtualHosts: <VirtualHost 1.2.3.4:80> ServerName some.example.com ServerAlias www.some.example.com some_example.shared-ssl-domain.com ... </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost 1.2.3.4:443> ServerName some_example.shared-ssl-domain.com ... SSLEngine on SSLCertificateFile /path/to/shared-ssl-domain.com.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile //path/to/shared-ssl-domain.com.key SSLCACertificateFile /path/to/shared-ssl-domain.com.cabundle </VirtualHost> in cPanel/WHM I was able to do this easily because the template file contained the <VirtualHost> and </VirtualHost> directives. But Virtualmin's template does now. is there any way I can set up Virtualmin to do what I want?

More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Any ideas on how to solve this? I have tried switching from subdomain to my normal path, still get errors.

  • Euro character messed up during FTP transfer

    My customer is using a very outdated ecommerce management system on my hosting service. For that product, no support is being provided anymore by the vendor. Brief explanation: the shop website, that claims to run under LAMP stack, is built by an old Visual Basic Windows application running on MS Access. The user constructs the shop, defines the HTML template, adds products and categories, etc. Then the VB exe builds the PHP pages (one for each template page) and the SQL script to run on MySQL. It also uploads everything via FTP and runs the installation/upgrade script on its own. The problem Browsing the website, many products' descriptions are cut before the euro sign. For example, what was supposed to be "Product price €1000" becomes "Product price" The analysis MySQL contains a cutted description until the € sign, so it's not PHP fault The Access databases contain full description with € sign, so it's not fault of the webmaster writing bad description or eDisplay cutting them The SQL that will run once the site gets uploaded, stored on my local machine before upload, contains the € sign The same script, after being FTPed by eDisplay and opened with nano from SSH, shows the € sign messed up like this: ^À vsftpd log reports (obfuscated for privacy) Sat Dec 15 11:16:57 2012 22 xxx.xxx.128.13 1112727 /srv/www/domains/xxxxxx.it/htdocs/db.sql b _ i r xxxxxxx ftp 0 * c which seems to be a binary transfer (and also a huge security vulnerability because you can download the whole database from unauthenticated HTTP) The eDisplay internal FTP client provides no option for ascii/binary transfer modes [Add] Trying to manually upload the SQL file via SFTP shows messing up euro [Add2] Trying to manually upload using Xftp client with explicit ASCII mode doesn't fix too It looks like the file gets uploaded as binary.   • Very high Magento/Apache memory usage even without visitors (are we fooled by our hosting company?)

    I am no server guy and we have issues with our speed so I come here asking for advise. We have a VPS with 2 cores and 2gb of RAM at a Magento specialized hosting company. Over the course of the last weeks our site speed has gotten worse, even though our store is new, has less than 1000 SKUs and not even 100 visitos a day. At magespeedtest.com we only get 1.87 trans/sec @ 2.11 secs each with a mere 5 concurrent users. Our magento log files are clean, we have no huge database tables or anything like that. When we take a look at our server real time stats, we see that the memory usage jumped up from about 34% to 71% and now 82% in just a few days in idle, with no visitors on the site. Our hosting company said that we do not need to worry about that as it`s maybe related to mysql which creates buffers (which are maybe not even actually being used) and what is important is CPU and swap - stats are ok here. They also said that the low benchmark scores are caused by bad extensions or template modifications on our side. We are not sure if we can trust that statement as we only have 4 plugins installed (all from aheadworks and amasty which are known to be one of the best magento extension developers). Our template modifications are purely html and css, no modifications to the php code. Our pagespeed is ranked with 93/100 in firebug and Magento is properly configured, so the problem really just gets obvious when there are a handful of users on the site at the same time. Can anyone confirm our hosting`s statement about memory usage and where can I start looking for a solution?

  • Strange WPF ListBox Behavior

    I’m trying to bind a List of items to a listbox in WPF. The items are grouped by one value and each group is to be housed in an expander. Everything works fine when I don’t use any custom styles. However, when I use custom styles (which work properly with non-grouped items and as independent controls) the binding doesn’t display any items. Below is the code I’m executing. Any ideas why the items won’t show up in the Expander?   • Handling HumanTask attachments in Oracle BPM 11g PS4FP+ (II)

    Retrieving uploaded attachments -UCM- As stated in my previous blog entry, Oracle BPM 11g 11.1.1.5.1 (aka PS4FP) introduced a new cool feature whereby you can use Oracle WebCenter Content (previously known as Oracle UCM) as the repository for the human task attached documents. For more information about how to use or enable this feature, have a look here. The attachment scope (either TASK or PROCESS) also applies to UCM-attachments. But even with this other feature, one question might arise when using UCM attachments. How can I get them from within the process? The first answer would be to use the same getTaskAttachmentContents() XPath function already explained in my previous blog entry. In fact, that's the way it should be. But in Oracle BPM 11g 11.1.1.5.1 (PS4FP) and 11.1.1.6.0 (PS5) there's a bug that prevents you to do that. If you invoke such function against a UCM-attachment, you'll get a null content response (bug#13907552). Even if the attachment was correctly uploaded. While this bug gets fixed, next I will show a workaround that lets me to retrieve the UCM-attached documents from within a BPM process. Besides, the sample will show how to interact with WCC API from within a BPM process.Aside note: I suggest you to read my previous blog entry about Human Task attachments where I briefly describe some concepts that are used next, such as the execData/attachment[] structure. Sample Process I will be using the following sample process: A dummy UserTask using "HumanTask2" Human Task, followed by an Embedded Subprocess that will retrieve the attachments payload. In this case, and here's the key point of the sample, we will retrieve such payload using WebCenter Content WebService API (IDC): and once retrieved, we will write each of them back to a file in the server using a File Adapter service: In detail:  We will use the same attachmentCollection XSD structure and same BusinessObject definition as in the previous blog entry. However we create a separate variable, named attachmentUCM, based on such BusinessObject. We will still need to keep a copy of the HumanTask output's execData structure. Therefore we need to create a new variable of type TaskExecutionData (different one than the other used for non-UCM attachments): As in the non-UCM attachments flow, in the output tab of the UserTask mapping, we'll keep a copy of the execData structure: Now we get into the embedded subprocess that will retrieve the attachments' payload. First, and using an XSLT transformation, we feed the attachmentUCM variable with the following information: The name of each attachment (from execData/attachment/name element) The WebCenter Content ID of the uploaded attachment. This info is stored in execData/attachment/URI element with the format ecm://<id>. As we just want the numeric <id>, we need to get rid of the protocol prefix ("ecm://"). We do so with some XPath functions as detailed below: with these two functions being invoked, respectively: We, again, set the target payload element with an empty string, to get the <payload></payload> tag created. The complete XSLT transformation is shown below. Remember that we're using the XSLT for-each node to create as many target structures as necessary.  Once we have fed the attachmentsUCM structure and so it now contains the name of each of the attachments along with each WCC unique id (dID), it is time to iterate through it and get the payload. Therefore we will use a new embedded subprocess of type MultiInstance, that will iterate over the attachmentsUCM/attachment[] element: In each iteration we will use a Service activity that invokes WCC API through a WebService. Follow these steps to create and configure the Partner Link needed: Login to WCC console with an administrator user (i.e. weblogic). Go to Administration menu and click on "Soap Wsdls" link. We will use the GetFile service to retrieve a file based on its dID. Thus we'll need such service WSDL definition that can be downloaded by clicking the GetFile link. Save the WSDL file in your JDev project folder. In the BPM project's composite view, drag & drop a WebService adapter to create a new External Reference, based on the just added GetFile.wsdl. Name it UCM_GetFile. WCC services are secured through basic HTTP authentication. Therefore we need to enable the just created reference for that: Right-click the reference and click on Configure WS Policies. Under the Security section, click "+" to add the "oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy" policy The last step is to set the credentials for the security policy. For the sample we will use the admin user for WCC (weblogic/welcome1). Open the composite.xml file and select the Source view. Therefore, we need to bypass the problem. The workaround we use (many others are available) is to add a Mediator component between the BPM process and the Service that simply copies the input structure from BPM but getting rid of the empty tags. Follow these steps to configure the Mediator: Drag & drop a new Mediator component into the composite. Uncheck the creation of the SOAP bindings and use the Interface Definition from WSDL template and select the existing GetFile.wsdl Double click in the mediator to edit it. Add a static routing rule to the GetFileByID operation, of type Service and select References/UCM_GetFile/GetFileByID target service: Create the request and reply XSLT mappers: Make sure you map only the dID element in the request: And do an Auto-mapper for the whole response: Finally, we can now add and configure the Service activity in the BPM process. Drag & drop it to the embedded subprocess and select the NormalizedGetFile service and getFileByID operation: Map both the input: ...and the output: Once this embedded subprocess ends, we will have all attachments (name + payload) in the attachmentsUCM variable, which is the main goal of this sample. But in order to test everything runs fine, we finish the sample writing each attachment to a file. To that end we include a final embedded subprocess to concurrently iterate through each attachmentsUCM/attachment[] element: On each iteration we will use a Service activity that invokes a File Adapter write service. In here we have two important parameters to set. First, the payload itself. The file adapter awaits binary data in base64 format (string). We have to map it using XPath (Simple mapping doesn't recognize a String as a base64-binary valid target): Second, we must set the target filename using the Service Properties dialog box: Again, note how we're making use of the loopCounter index variable to get the right element within the embedded subprocess iteration. I want to merge the XML data with the InDesign page and have a few hundred pages automatically generated. I've been reading online and working with InDesign's "Import XML" features without any luck. The documentation has been pretty poor for me. And Google searches haven't returned much fruitful. Edit: I'm updating this to now include my present steps 1) I create a Master Page of my template 2) I add a bunch of text frames where I want the imported data from the XML file to be places 3) I open the "Tags" window and Import and XML file 4) I mark my text frames in the Master Document with the appropriate tags 5) I then add a lot of pages (like 200) to the document 6) Then I use "Import XML" to try and get the data brought in and filled across all 200 pages. This is where I fail. So there's something I'm missing. It might be that InDesign doesn't work as I'm expecting... Anyone have any good tips for mail-merge like functionality with an XML document and auto-generation of InDesign pages? BTW, here's an example of Adobe's great documentation for merging repeated XML elements. MS-Word has this feature too - an alternative footnote numbering scheme. How can I achieve the same with LibreOffice? PS - Shouldn't the OpenOffice and LibreOffice tags be merged?

    Normally when working inside a Ruby on Rails view file, I can hit CTRL + SHIFT + . to get open/close tags for rails like so: <%= selection %> I'm not sure how, but yesterday this functionality stopped working. I reinstalled the Ruby on Rails bundle for Textmate but alas, it did not help. Can anybody speculate might have happened and how I could fix it/reset to original settings? Thanks!

But I miss one thing I could do with an older version of awesome (without configuration via Lua): I could add a matcher with the regexp .* to add all windows without another tag to a specific tag: rule { name = ".*" tags = "9" } With that all applications I didn't made another rule for were added to tag 9. How can I do something similar with configuration in rc.lua?

I placed jEdit into tag '4' with the following rule in rc.lua: { rule = { class = "org-gjt-sp-jedit-jEdit" }, properties = { tag = tags[1][4] } } That works fine for the main window, but if I open an dialog for jEdit (open-file, search etc.) it opens in the tag for any other application. I used xprop, but it says the class is also "org-gjt-sp-jedit-jEdit". So how can I configure that?
