  • Problem with using the XPATH functions

    I've got a problem with using the XPATH functions. When I try to call some functions like lower-case or upper-case etc,they are not executed and I can't figure the problem out. I included the namespace xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions" at the top of my XSL stylesheet and use fn namespace to call these functions but anyway nothing is working. Can anyone explain the reason and what I should do in order to be able to use the following functions? Cheers

    Hi, I have an image of 4x4 in size and I want to use it all around a DIV's border. The following: -moz-border-image: url("../images/window/side.png") 4 4 4 4 / 4px 4px 4px 4px repeat repeat will place left and right borders, but not bottom and top. What's wrong with it? I think I have misunderstood the syntax and if that is so, how does this syntax really work?

    Hello, i'm trying to write unobtrusive default/placeholder text in input (actually, relatively placed label over input, which hides on onFocus, and stays hidden if input isn't empty on onBlur), but I don't want to use jQuery, because this is the only javascript used on page - therefore using jQuery seems a bit over the top. Please, how can I do this without jQuery? Thank you.

  • IE8 ignores absolute positioning and margin:auto

    I have a lightbox-style div with scrolling content that I am trying to restrict to a reasonable size within the viewport. I also want this div to be horizontally centered. This is all easy in Fx/Chrome/IE9. My problem is that IE8 ignores the absolute positioning which I use to size the content, and the rule margin: 0 auto which I use to horizontally center the lightbox. 1) Why? 2) What are my options for workarounds? EDIT: The centering issue is fixed by setting text-align:center on the parent element, but I have no idea why that works since the element I want to center is not inline. Still stuck on the absolute positioning stuff.     I have an UIImageView with an image. Now I have a completely new image (graphic file), and want to display that in this UIImageView. If I just set myImageView.image = newImage; the new image is visible immediately. Not animatable. I want it to nicely fade into the new image. I thought maybe there's a better solution than just creating a new UIImageView on top of that and blending with animation?

  • Margin 0 and fixed background cause weird border OR what?

    I am currently developing this site: tochat.vn As viewing in Firefox 7.0.1, it has annoying white border at top of the page. I have been trying to remove the border in many ways, but nothing really works. Actually, there are 2 things I noticed, when I removed "margin: 0" on body tag (on reset.css) OR when I removed the "fixed" value of background-attachment of the "body" class (on style.css) the border disappeared. But I can't remove these attributes :( Any suggestion?
