.htaccess URL is being cut at a space (I'm using Codeigniter)

I've used the following code to map https://live.example.com on to http://example.com/api Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^live\.example\.com [NC] RewriteRule (.+)$ "http://example.com/api/$1" [L,P] The following url: https://live.example.com/userlinks/xml/John%20James/MvPjeUTo15/ Is suppose to map onto: http://example.com/api/userlinks/xml/John%20James/MvPjeUTo15/ Instead it maps it to: http://example.com/api/userlinks/xml/John So it seems to cut it at the space. I am using the Codeigniter framework but I am not sure if the problem lies there. Also using %20 or just a space in the url bar produces no different results. Anyone any idea and/or solution why this happens? Thank you very much, Ice

These are basically your 1 to 1 representation of a database table. Each table in the database will have 1 and only 1 EO. The EO contains the mapping between columns and attributes. EO's also contain the business logic and validation. These are you core data services. They are responsible for updating, inserting and deleting records. The Attributes tab displays the actual mapping between attributes and columns, the mapping has following fields: Name : contains the name of the attribute we expose in our data model. At this stage we don't need it and just use it for information purpose. In later stages we might use it. Application module An application module is the controller of your data layer. It is responsible for keeping hold of the transaction. It exposes the data model to the view layer. You expose the VO's through the Application Module. This is the abstraction of your data layer which you want to show to the outside word.It defines an updatable data model and top-level procedures and functions (called service methods) related to a logical unit of work related to an end-user task. While the base components handle all the common cases through built-in behavior, customization is always possible and the default behavior provided by the base components can be easily overridden or augmented. When you create EO's, a foreign key will be translated into an association in our model. It defines the type of relation and who is the master and child as well as how the visibility of the association looks like. A similar concept exists to identify relations between view objects. These are called view links. These are almost identical as association except that a view link is based upon attributes defined in the view object. It can also be based upon an association. Is it possible to programmatically switch error log providers with ELMAH?

Is it possible to switch from using the XML provider to SQL Server using ELMAH? I need to investigate this option because of the fallibility of our SQL Server where our ELMAH errors are stored. I want to be able to fail gracefully and continue logging to XML if the server fails. I can see that programmatic connection string switching is possible, and I see that ELMAH Issue 149 announces the programmatic configuration of default error log, but I can't actually see any code examples anywhere, so I'm not too sure if this is possible. I'm guessing it is, in which case does anyone know for sure? My question is similar to this one, except that I want to try and log errors to SQL Server, and if that fails switch to XML, not log to all stores all the time.

How to update user info with restful_authentication plugin in Rails?

Hi people, I want to give the users to change their account info with restful_authentication plugin in rails. Considering that resources are already defined in routes.rb I was expecting it to work easily, bute somehow when I click the save button it calls the create method, instead of update, using a POST http request. Any ideas?

[ANT] Not able to invoke remote script in windows from linux using SSHEXEC

Hi, I have set up OpenSSH in my windows environment and wants to invoke a ANT script from a Linux environment. But i'm getting the following error: $ ant -f invoke.xml Buildfile: /home/inysi/jpegu/cdt/tmp/invoke.xml run: [sshexec] Connecting to ****** [sshexec] cmd : ant -f build.xml [sshexec] uname: not found [sshexec] basename: not found [sshexec] dirname: not found [sshexec] Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly. [sshexec] We cannot execute java [sshexec] which: not found BUILD SUCCESSFUL Total time: 2 seconds But, i can invoke the remote ANT script in Linux environment using SSHEXEC from windows. Can you please let me know, what could be the issue. JAVA_HOME is set in the windows environment variables. Where to set JAVA_HOME in the windows environment. Is there something similar to .bash_profile in windows. So that ANT process can pick it up.

simple EJB jar deployed in jboss with its own log4j configuration

Hi All I have a simple EJB jar with a stateless session bean, deployed in JBOSS AS 4.2.2, unde r/server/default/deploy. The bean is registered under JNDI tree as viewed from jboss jmx console and I am able to access it through a remote java client outside JBOSS. Inside EJB jar, I have added some logging to be written to a separate log file, using apache log4j jar and log4j.xml. But I am not able to view any of the logs. Also I do not wish to use jboss-log4j.xml, since there will be many other EJBs to be deployed and wish to have separate log4j for each EJB application. Here is my one of the EJB-jar contents: EJB_DS.jar: log4j.xml classes apache log4j jar is added to /server/default/lib path. Kindly highlight if i have missed any points for enabling log4j configuration With Regards, Krishna

http handlers not working on web server but works on localhost

i have a couple of xml files in my asp.net web application that i don't want anyone to access other than my server side code. this is what i tried.. <add verb="*" path="*.xml" type="System.Web.HttpForbiddenHandler" /> i wrote this inside the <httpHandlers> it works well on the localhost but not in the server... the server without any hesitation displays the xml file... i have no idea how to proceed... thanks in advance..:)

Rails and jQuery - how do you get server-side validation errors to your view after an ajax request

Ive searched this site but questions are usually regarding doing client-side validations or for different frameworks. I have a tasks list whose items can be edited inline. Upon submitting the inline edit form the item is updated all thanks to jQuery, ajax and rails. But I want to handle bad input from the user. HTML requests redisplay the view and errors are displayed thanks to rails helpers. But how do I insert that information after an ajax call? List replies in a winform

In my C# app I get an xml from a server that contains some replies like in a forum thread (with elements like author, time, body, title, whatever). When I get this xml, I create a new form in which i want to display these replies, and a little text box with an "add reply" button. I'd also like some edit buttons on perhaps my own replies in the reply list displayed in the form. The simplest way that came to my mind to display the replies is to put a web browser control in the form, generate a full html page in a string from the xml, and throw it in that web browser control. And under it i can put the text box with the add reply button. Everything is ok, except that i have no idea of how i could implement the edit function on my own replies (i mean i could add a link in there... but link to what) I would like to know if there is a way to get that edit event from the web browser control (my guess is i can't) or another (maybe simple/easy) idea of displaying the replies in a winform using other controls

How do I fix SVC-FILWRT on Windows?

I have to do some processing (enhancing metadata) on the XML document that are on my Marklogic database. For that I have created a new HTTP server that is pointing towards the database. Using that HTTP server, I write a XQuey that loop through all the XML documents in Marklogic database and send these XML documents to particular URL that reads the content from that document, append some metadata and then store back to ML. This is something I have tried on Linux platform with same version of Marklogic and it works great for me. But now, when I am trying the same on window platform (Windows 7 Enterprise addition) and it's not working. Approaches I tried to resolve that: Running Marklogic Server as "Run as Administrator". Putting HTTP server's Base directory into D:/ directory i.e. directory that does not have windows installed within it. Above same with putting forest to D:/ directory. How to do some preformance testing in asp.net mvc?

Hi I am using asp.net mvc 2.0 and I want to test how long it takes to do some of my code. In one senario I do this load xml file up. validate xml file and deserailze. validate all rows in the xml file with more advanced validation that cannot be done in the schema validation. then I do a bulk insert. I want to know how long steps 1 to 3 take and how long step 4 takes. I tried to do like DateTime.UtcNow in areas and subtract them but it told me it took like 3 seconds but I know that is not right as steps 1 to 4 take 2mins to do.

How to seralize only some properties in .Net?

This is for a web project so i have several classes that inherit from Web.UI. I only want to serialize very particular properties (basically, only local properties) I'm aware of the XMLIgnore property that can be placed on a property to ignore items, but this won't work in my context since that would require modifying a bunch of stuff that i really don't want to modify (and probably can't). So how do i tell the xml serializer to ignore everything except for X and Y or tell it to seralize just X and Y? i could just create my own xml in a string builder or something and if that's the only way, so be it. however i'm looking for a method that will employ the built in XML stuff. ASP.NET Granting access to local resources

Hi all I have an ASP.NET web application that runs on a windows server 2003 server. there is a form that reads and writes data to an xml file inside the application's directory. I always grant the NETWORK SERVICE user full control on my application folder so that it can read and write to the xml file. I put the application on another windows server 2003 server and did the same steps above but i was getting an Access denied exception on the form that reads and writes to the xml. I did some search and found that if you grant the user ASPNET full control to the directory it would work, I did that and it worked fine. my question is: what is the difference between granting full control permissions to NETWORK SERVICE and ASPNET users ? and what can be the difference between the two servers that caused this issue ? thanks

Uniquely Identify ImageButtons placed Programmatically

Hi, I have been placing several ImageButtons programmatically in a TableLayout, every ImageButton has it's own Drawable resource as a Background. I use an XML description for the layout of the ImageButton itself and afterwards use the LayoutInflater to retrieve such an ImageButton (called genre_cell.xml): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageButton xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/genreCellItemId" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" android:paddingLeft="5dip" android:paddingRight="5dip"> </ImageButton> And in my class I do : myButton = (ImageButton) inflater.inflate(R.layout.genre_cell, row, false); I have actually attached an onClickListener on every ImageButton, but now I'd like to uniquely identify which ImageButton has been clicked... I thought that maybe I could somehow retrieve the Drawable's ID used for the background and check that one with the available Drawable's int values ? Is this an option and if so how should it be implemented ? Also are there any other options ?

I'm working on a GUI application in Swing+Clojure that requires various mutable pieces of data (e.g. scroll position, user data, filename, selected tool options etc.). I can see at least three different ways of handling this set of data: Create a ref to a map of all the data: (def data (ref { :filename "filename.xml" :scroll [0 0] })) Create a map of refs to the individual data elements: (def datamap { :filename (ref "filename.xml") :scroll (ref [0 0]) })) Create a separate ref for each in the namespace: (def scroll (ref [0 0])) (def filename (ref "filename.xml")) Note: This data will be accessed concurrently, e.g. by background processing threads or the Swing event handling thread. However there probably isn't a need for consistent transactional updates of multiple elements. What would be your recommended approach and why?

Hello, I'm writing an application for android and I would like to insert an options menu, that would have only one function and that is to quit an application. How can I access variables outside of current scope in javascript?

I'm writing some application in javascript and cannot figure it out how to access the variables declared in my function, inside this jquery parse. Inside I can access global variables, but I don't really want to create global vars for these values. Basically I want to extract file names from an xml document in the simulationFiles variable. I check if the node attribute is equal with the simName and extract the two strings inside the xml elements, that part I think it's working. Ignoring generated files when using "Treat warnings as errors"

We have started a new project but also have this problem for an existing project. The problem is that when we compile with a warning level of 4 we also want to switch on 'Treat all warnings as errors' We are unable to do this at the moment because generated files (in particular reference.cs files) are missing things like XML comments and this generates a warning, we do not want to suppress the xml comment warnings totally out of all files just for specific types of files (namely generated code). I have thought of a way this could be achieved but am not sure if these are the best way to do this or indeed where to start :) My thinking is that we need to do something with T4 templates for the code that is generated such that it does fill in XML documentation for generated code. Does anyone have any ideas, currently I'm at well over 2k warnings (its a big project) :(

Best option for Google App Engine Datastore and external database?

I need to get an App Engine app talking to and sharing data with an external database, The best option i can come up with is outputting the external database data to an xml file and then processing this in my app engine app and storing it inside the datastore, although the data being shared is sensitive data such as login details so outputting this to an xml file is not exactly a great idea, is it possible for the app engine app to directly query the database? or is there a secure option for using xml files? oh and im using python/django and the external database will be hosted on another domain

why does $.ajax(..) not work for me?

I'm running jquery from a file. And I'm trying to load a svg file from my localhost to populate a svg canvas. However that does not work as expected. What I do from filesystem: $.ajax({ url: url , timeout: 1000, complete: function(xml) { alert('complete'); }, success: function(xml, status, xreq) { alert('success'); }, error: function() { alert('error'); } }); the url reads: http://localhost/image.svg, when I read this url directly from an addressbar from the browser, the pages remains white but the pagesource displays the source of image.svg. Debugging the $.ajax code above, reveals that the success: method is hit, but xml response remains empty. Any help is greatly appreciated. regards, jeroen.

Flex DataGrid reads a field from lastResult.node as number

Why Flex 3 DataGrid reads a string from XML lastResult.node as number? A field is saved as var_char in mysql, php reads it as string and pass it OK. If there are more then 16 charaters it gets rounded.... For example: this in database cell: 12345678901234567 gets read in DataGrid as nubmer as 12345678901234568 this is in database cell: 5555544444222223333377777 php reads it same and puts it in XML flex reads XML into arrayCollection and DataGrid reads it as: 5.55554444422222e+24 So it reads it as number, why? And how to make it read as String? I tried with labelFunction, no help.
