  • ASP.NET - Themes and Relative Referencing

    - by user70192
    Hello, I have an ASP.NET application that uses themes. Let's pretend I have a theme named "MySkin". I have a page that is in a sub-directory of my application. When I reference a page that uses "MySkin", I noticed that ASP.NET renders a link element that walks up to the root of the site and then down into the App_Themes directory. Here is an example link element I found in a rendered ASP.NET page: <link href="../../App_Themes/MySkin/theme.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> Is there a reason that the rendered link element does not use the following instead: <link href="/App_Themes/MySkin/theme.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> Is this a browser compatibility issue or is there another reason? The reason I am asking is because I am rendering my ASP.NET page using Server.Execute and storing the result in a different directory. Because of this, I would prefer to use the second way to reference my theme's css. Thank you!

  • How to find item selected from customContextMenuRequested() on QTreeView item?

    - by vinaym
    I have implemented contextual menus in QTreeView items with the following code MyDerivedQTreeView->setModel(MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel); MyDerivedQTreeView->setContextMenuPolicy(Qt::CustomContextMenu); connect(MyDerivedQTreeView, SIGNAL(customContextMenuRequested(const QPoint &)), MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel(), SLOT(contextualMenu(const QPoint &))); void MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel::contextualMenu(const QPoint& point) { QMenu *menu = new QMenu; menu->addAction(QString("Test Item"), this, SLOT(test_slot())); menu->exec(MyDerivedQTreeView->mapToGlobal(point)); } MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel::contextualMenu() gets called and I can see the contextual menu. Problem is contextual menu should be visible only if user right-clicks on an item and it should be customized as per the item selected. How do I get whether/which item is selected from QPoint information? I am on Qt 4.5.3.

  • Parsing XML stream in ASP.NET 3.5

    - by Ranjit
    Hi All, I am trying to build an ASP.NET 3.5 application based on XML streams from a legacy systems. My issue is once I get the XML I have to built menus and sub menus from the XML as well filter data(XML stream) based on the menu selection without making roundtrip to the Data store(legacy system). Right now I have a DAL which will get the XML stream in the form of XDocument.I was able to built the first level Menu Items, but not the sub Menu Items based on the selection in the Main Menu and then the final content based on the sub menu selection, all this without making a round trip. Is there a way to do this in-memory. Please suggest. thank you. Ranjit

  • App Engine: Launching a script upon update/run

    - by kovshenin
    Hi all. I'm working with App Engine and I'm thinking about using the LESS CSS extension in my next project. There's no good LESS CSS library written in Python so I went on with the original Ruby one which works great and out of the box. I'd like App Engine to execute lessc ./templates/css/style.less before running the development server and before uploading the files to the cloud. What is the best way to automate this? I'm thinking: #run.sh: lessc ./templates/css/style.less .gae/dev_appserver.py --use_sqlite . And #deploy.sh lessc ./templates/css/style.less .gae/appcfg.py update . Am I on the correct path or is there a more elegant way of doing things, perhaps at the appcfg.py level? Thanks.

  • Don't Change URL in Browser When Clicking <asp:LinkButton>

    - by Corey Goldberg
    I have an ASP.NET page that uses a menu based on asp:LinkButton control in a Master page. When a user selects a menu item, an onclick handler calls a method in my C# code. The method it calls just does a Server.Transfer() to a new page. From what I have read, this is not supposed to change the URL displayed in the browser. The problem is it that the URL changes in the browser as the user navigates the menu to different pages. Here is an item in the menu: <asp:LinkButton id="foo" runat="server" onclick="changeToHelp"><span>Help</span> </asp:LinkButton> In my C# code, I handle the event with a method like: protected void changeToHelp(object sender, EventArgs e) { Server.Transfer("Help.aspx"); } Any ideas how I can navigate through the menu without the browser's URL bar changing?

  • how do i use htaccess to make http requests work properly

    - by Gabriel
    I currently have css and javascript file calls (amongst other things) like the following: href="/css/default.css" src="/js/ui_control.js" putting the preceding / in to make the files relative to the root. This works great when my page is in the root of the domain. However, I'm currently in the middle of transferring my site to a new hosting provider and as such have a temporary URL which is: HOST-IP/~username As such, all file calls are trying to be called from HOST-IP/css/default.css etc instead of within the ~username sub-folder. Of course I can wait until the domain name servers propagate but that's beside the point. How would I go about writing a rule in the .htaccess file that would redirect all file calls that start with a /, from going to HOST-IP/FILE-CALL, and instead to go to HOST-IP/~USERNAME/FILE-CALL. ? Any ideas?

  • Passing a Smarty variable into Javascript link "src" attribute

    - by mikemick
    I've assigned a Smarty variable: {assign var="siteurl" value="http://website.com"} I can successfully use it in my header.html file to call a CSS link: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{$siteurl}/style.css" /> displays <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://website.com/style.css" /> However, when I do the same for a Javascript source, it literally prints out "{$siteurl}": <script type="text/javascript" src="{$siteurl}/scripts.js"></script> displays <script type="text/javascript" src="{$siteurl}/scripts.js"></script> Why isn't this Smarty variable displaying as expected?

  • wxPython - wx.ChildFrame

    - by Dunwitch
    I'm sure this is simple, but I can't seem to find the answer. While using wx.MDIParentFrame, I open a new window with wx.MDIChildFrame. There is static text on the ParentFrame, and once the ChildFrame opens the text gets erased from the ParentFrame? import wx class Frame(wx.MDIParentFrame): def __init__(self): wx.MDIParentFrame.__init__(self, None, -1, "Main Window", size=(800,600), style=wx.DEFAULT_FRAME_STYLE | wx.FRAME_NO_WINDOW_MENU) menu = wx.Menu() menu.Append(100, "&New Window") menu.Append(101, "E&xit") menubar = wx.MenuBar() menubar.Append(menu, "&File") self.SetMenuBar(menubar) self.Bind(wx.EVT_MENU, self.OnNewWindow, id=100) self.Bind(wx.EVT_MENU, self.OnExit, id=101) self.Center() background_text = wx.StaticText(self, id=-1, label="This is background text", pos = (20, 250)) def OnExit(self, evt): self.Close(True) self.Destroy() def OnNewWindow(self, evt): win = wx.MDIChildFrame(self, -1, "Child Window", size = (300, 300), style=wx.DEFAULT_FRAME_STYLE ^ (wx.MAXIMIZE_BOX | wx.RESIZE_BORDER)) win.SetBackgroundColour("#BB00e0") win.Show(True) if __name__ == '__main__': app = wx.PySimpleApp() frame = Frame() frame.Show() app.MainLoop()

  • WM_SYSCOMMAND oddities

    - by Andreas Rejbrand
    An application recieves the WM_SYSCOMMAND message when the user selects a menu item command on the system menu, and so wParam can be SC_CLOSE, SC_CONTEXTHELP, SC_MAXIMIZE, SC_MINIMIZE, SC_RESTORE etc. That's logical. But one can also send the WM_SYSCOMMAND message to send commands to the Windows Shell. For instance, one can display the start menu (SC_TASKLIST), activate the screen saver (SC_SCREENSAVE), and turn off the monitor (SC_MONITORPOWER). This does not make sense, does it? What does this have to do with the application's system menu? This is more of a "system command", i.e. more of a completely other interpretation of the name "WM_SYSCOMMAND" of the message. It's like the message is used to send command requests to the system. Why is this message used for two seemingly entirely different things, and what thing does the name "SYSCOMMAND" refer to (command on the system menu, or command of the operating system)?

  • Refactor: Javascript block

  • regex to match specific html tags

    - by Rco8786
    I need to match html tags(the whole tag), based on the tag name. For script tags I have this: <script.+src=.+(\.js|\.axd).+(</script>|>) It correctly matches both tags in the following html: <script src="Scripts/JScript1.js" type="text/javascript" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/JScript2.js" /> However, when I do link tags with the following: <link.+href=.+(\.css).+(</link>|>) It matches all of this at once(eg it returns one match containing both items): <link href="Stylesheets/StyleSheet1.css" rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="Stylesheets/StyleSheet2.css" rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" /> What am I missing here? The regexes are essentially identical except for the text to match to? Also, I know that regex is not a great tool for HTML parsing...I will probably end up using the HtmlAgilityPack in the end, but this is driving me nuts and I want an answer if only for my own mental health!

  • Understanding a lighttpd.conf file?

    - by AP257
    Hi all, I've been given a lighttpd.conf that someone else wrote and need help working out how to serve it. I'm 90% of the way there but stuck... The index.html page appears, but links and CSS files don't point to the right place. To clarify, the links and CSS files are all pointing to a 'file:///' URL. So styles.css in the HTML header points to file:///html/styles.css, whereas it should be going to http://url.com/styles.css Maybe url.rewrite or url.redirect isn't working properly? server.document-root = "~/html" server.port = 28001 mimetype.assign = ( ".html" => "text/html", ".txt" => "text/plain", ".jpg" => "image/jpeg", ".png" => "image/png" ) url.rewrite = ( "^(.*)/($|\?.*)" => "$1/index.html", "^(.*)/([^.?]+)($|\?.*)$" => "$1/$2.html" ) $HTTP["scheme"] == "http" { url.redirect = ( "^/platform/index.html$" => "/platform", "^/about/company.html$" => "/about/company",, ) }

  • Can I insert a style tag and contents from a view with CakePHP?

    - by Richard
    From what I can see, CakePHP makes it easy to link to a CSS file in a view with the following: echo $html->css('my-css-filename',null,array(),FALSE); But what if I don't want to exclusively use hardcoded files? How can I get it to create a style tag with some dynamically generated rules in e.g. <style type="text/css" media="all">p {font-size:1.5em}</style> I am trying to do this in a view file, I'd like the CSS to be placed in the head tag, and I'm using CakePHP 1.2.7

  • How To Disable Control Panel in Windows 7

    - by Mysticgeek
    If you have a shared computer that your family and friends can access, you might not want them to mess around in the Control Panel, and luckily with a simple tweak you can disable it. Disable Control Panel with Group Policy Note: This process uses Local Group Policy Editor which is not available in Home versions of Windows 7. Skip down below for the registry hack version that works on Home editions as well. First type gpedit.msc into the Search box in the Start menu and hit Enter. When Local Group Policy Editor opens, navigate to User Configuration \ Administrative Templates then select Control Panel in the left Column. In the right column double-click on Prohibit access to the Control Panel. In the next window, select Enable, click OK, then close out of Local Group Policy Editor. After the Control Panel is disabled, you’ll notice it’s no longer listed in the Start Menu. If the user tries to type Control Panel into the Search box in the Start menu, they will get the following message indicating it’s restricted. Disable Control Panel with a Registry Tweak You can also tweak the Registry to disable Control Panel. This will work with all versions of Windows 7, Vista, and XP. Making changes in the Registry is not recommended for beginners and you should create a Restore Point, or backup the Registry before making any changes. Type regedit into the Search box in the Start menu and hit Enter. In Registry Editor navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer. Then right-click in the right pane and create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the value NoControlPanel. Then right-click on the new Value and click Modify…   In the Value data field change the value to “1” then click OK. Close out of Registry Editor and restart the machine to complete the process. When you get back from reboot, you’ll notice Control Panel is no longer listed in the Start menu. If a user tries to access it by typing Control Panel into the Search box in the Start menu… They will get the following message indicating it is restricted, just like if you were to disable it via Group Policy. If you want to re-enable the Control Panel, go back into the Registry and change the NoControlPanel value back to “0” then reboot the computer. This comes in handy if you have inexperienced users working on your machine and don’t want them messing with Control Panel settings. • ASP.NET MVC 3 Client-Side Validation Summary with jQuery Validation (Unobtrusive JavaScript)

    - by Soe Tun
    When we were working with ASP.NET MVC 2, we needed to write our own JavaScript to get Client-Side Validation Summary with jQuery Validation plugin. I am one of those unfortunate people still stuck with .NET Framework Runtime 2.0 and .NET Framework 3.5; meaning I am still on ASP.NET MVC 2. So I will still keep on supporting by answering any question you may have with my original code.   Long awaited ASP.NET MVC 3 has been released, and it supports Client Side Validation Summary with jQuery out-of-the-box with new features like Unobtrusive JavaScript.   1. _Layout.cshtml Template Notice that I am using Protocol Relative URLs ( i.e., '//'.  Not 'http://' or 'https://' ) to reference script files and css files and you should use it too like that! However, please note that IE7 and IE8 will download the CSS files twice so use it with judgement. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>@ViewBag.Title</title> <link href="@Url.Content("~/Assets/Site.css")" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.9/themes/redmond/jquery-ui.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> </head> <body> @RenderBody() <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.9/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="//ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jQuery.Validate/1.7/jQuery.Validate.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="//ajax.aspnetcdn.com/ajax/mvc/3.0/jquery.validate.unobtrusive.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> </body> </html>   2. MVC View Template There are 3 things you *must* do exactly to get Client Side Validation Summary working. (1)  You must declare your Validation Summary **inside** the `Html.BeginForm()` block like below. (2)  You must pass `excludePropertyErrors: false` to the  Html.ValidationSummary()  method. @using (Html.BeginForm()) { @Html.ValidationSummary(false, "Please fix these errors."); <!-- The rest of your View Template --> }   (3)  You have to put the following two elements in the `<appSettings />` block of your Web.config file. <add key="ClientValidationEnabled" value="true"/> <add key="UnobtrusiveJavaScriptEnabled" value="true"/>   That is all you need to do.  Simple, right? I will upload a sample project for download soon.  Please let me know if you run into some issues.     P.S: Without getting into too much technical details, I just wanted to let you know what I went through to get this to work. I had to look into the ASP.NET MVC 3 RTM Source Code and the jquery.validate.unobtrusive.js source. Initially, I thought I have to hack the jquery.validate.unobtrusive.js or something to get this to work. But after digging into MVC3 RTM source, I found out how to do it.

  • Transform your Oracle Tutor Documents to Your Corporate Standard

    - by mary.keane
    You have all of your company's processes documented in Oracle Tutor, and now you want to get the HTML files to reflect your company's corporate look and feel. How are you going to do this without having an HTML guru to change every HTML page? The good news is you do not need to be an HTML expert to make minor changes to your documents. All Tutor HTML files are attached to a group of style sheets, so any changes you make to the style sheets will immediately be reflected in all of your HTML documents. If you want to give it a try, here's what you do (please note that these tips are applicable to release Oracle Tutor 12.2 and greater): Navigate to your Tutor HTML directory, and copy into a draft folder a representative group of HTML files (don't forget the flowchart image files that are associated with the procedures). You'll also need to copy the following files: tutor.css tutor_notabs.css tutor_scripts.js tutor_tabs.css flow_icon.gif Here's the default look to the Oracle Tutor desk manual. Let's say I want to use my company's corporate style in the HTML documents. At Oracle, we use Oracle Red (FF0000), Oracle Black (000000), and Oracle Gray (666666). So I want to incorporate those colors into the Tutor HTML files. I open tutor.css from the draft folder in a text editor. My preference is to use Notepad, but there are others. Make sure, however, that it is a text editor, and not a word processing program. I want to change the headings to Oracle Red. The desk manual title is listed as the DMPAGETITLE, so I find that in tutor.css. The style names in the style sheets are descriptive, but sometimes you may have to experiment to find the right style (this is why you're working in a draft folder). I change the color attribute to FF00000, and then I save the document. Now I look at one of the desk manuals in my draft folder. I've successfully changed the title of the desk manual, so, now that I have more confidence that I can do this, I start changing other styles. I need to make changes in the tutor_tabs.css file as well, so I open that document. Then I look at one of the procedures. Oops! All that red is distracting, and the users may not be able to follow their procedures. So I go back to the corporate style guide, and I find some shades of gray that have been approved. So I use that, and it is now more readable. It's good enough for a first draft, and I would show it to my colleagues at this point to get their input. On my next blog, I'll discuss how to change the flowchart colors to match your corporate look and feel. Have you used the cascading styles sheets to change the look of your Tutor documents? If so, let us know what you've done in your post. Mary R. Keane Senior Development Manager, Oracle Tutor & UPK Content

  • Best triple head display setup

    - by dgel
    I'm currently running Ubuntu 12.04 with a darn good triple head display setup. I've got a VisionTek 900530 Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR3 PCI Express video card that has two DVI outputs and one Mini DisplayPort that I have connected to a HDMI adapter. I'm running three identical Asus 1920x1080 monitors that each have a DVI, VGA, and HDMI input. I'm using the xorg-edgers ppa, so I'm using the open source radeon driver version 6.99.99. I tried using the ATI binary fglrx driver, but I wasn't able to get the three monitors working properly- the monitor connected via HDMI / DisplayPort wouldn't run at full resolution. The setup is almost perfect: Compiz runs fine and is quite snappy. I'm not able to use that great compiz feature where you can drag a window to the side of a display and it will half maximize. I occasionally experience display corruption weirdness with Unity and need to restart it. When I use a dropdown menu in LibreOffice it often pops the menu down in another window. For example, if I'm using the center monitor and click the Insert menu, the menu pulls down on the monitor to my right, forcing me to chase it. If I chase down the menu and choose Manual Break, the dialog appears over on my left monitor. This absurdity is mildly entertaining but has lost its novelty. I've decided to build a new system and have spared no expense- latest i7 processor, SSD, etc. I really like the performance of the Nvidia binary drivers, so I put two ZOTAC ZT-40707-10L GeForce GT 440 in the system, figuring I'd have four DVI outputs and an awesome triple (or even eventually quad) head setup. Unfortunately it appears that I didn't do sufficient research before my purchase. It seems that Nvidia TwinView only supports two monitors on one card (I guess that's why they call it TwinView...). I messed around with running two X servers, but I really don't want that- being able to drag windows to any monitor is critical. It doesn't sound like Xinerama is an option because from what I understand it simply doesn't support Compiz. I've seen a BaseMosaic option that can be used with the Nvidia drivers that appears to support an almost unlimited number of heads- unfortunately me cheap little cards don't support it. I'm also not sure whether you'll still have all nice maximizing and snapping that TwinView provides, or whether Ubuntu will only see it as one massive display. I put my old trusty ATI card into my new system and installed 12.10. I'm using the opensource radeon drivers again because even in 12.10 I can't get the fglrx binary drivers to do triple head. Unfortunately, even with an unbelievably powerful system the experience is extremely sluggish (much more so than my experience in 12.04). The menu scattering problem appears to be fixed, but I get a lot of nasty Unity display corruption. So finally, my question is this: What hardware / drivers should I use? I'm willing to buy (almost) any video card(s). I have two PCI-Express 3.0 slots on my motherboard (which has an integrated Intel HD card). I'm willing to use ATI or Nvidia cards and willing to run Ubuntu 12.04.1 or 12.10. I'm not a gamer, but do want beautiful and snappy Compiz effects. Does anyone out there have the perfect triple head setup in 12.04 or 12.10? What hardware / drivers are you using? I have those two Nvidia cards but will probably be returning them unless someone knows a way to use them together for a triple head setup. Since I'm having pretty good luck with a single ATI card providing three displays, should I just buy a beefier one with the hopes that it will fix the horrible sluggishness I'm experiencing in 12.10?

Thanks! P.S.: I installed wxWidgets through wxPack wich afaik comes with everything precomplied and i also added the wxWidgets directory to Global variables-base in Code::Blocks so everything should be correctly set, right?

  • ASP.NET make a panel visible on click of hyperlink (whilst also cuasing postback for page navigation

    - by Helen
    I may be asking the impossible but let me set out my problem: I have a menu in a MasterPage which uses images and mouseover mouseout events for design purposes. On one of the menu options I need to display a set of sub menus options on the click of the parent menu item. The menu item itself also needs to navigate to a specified url. I was originally trying to use an AJAX accordion panel but as I only had one accordion panel it was always displaying the sub menu items and was not collapsing. I have also tried putting the options in a div and setting the display via javascript. This worked but then was overwritten once the page navigation postback occurred. Here is the source: <%@ Master Language="VB" CodeFile="MasterPage.master.vb" Inherits="MasterPage" %> <%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="cc1" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <%@ Register Src="LeadHeader.ascx" TagName="LeadHeader" TagPrefix="uc1" %> <%@ Register Src="~/LeadFooter.ascx" TagName="LeadFooter" TagPrefix="uc2" %> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <link href="StyleSheet.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script type="text/javascript"> var revert = new Array(); var inames = new Array('home', 'whoweare', 'whatwedo','ourapproach', 'ourvalues', 'contact'); // Preload if (document.images) { var flipped = new Array(); for(i=0; i< inames.length; i++) { flipped[i] = new Image(); flipped[i].src = "images/"+inames[i]+"2.jpg"; } } function over(num) { if(document.images) { revert[num] = document.images[inames[num]].src; document.images[inames[num]].src = flipped[num].src; } } function out(num) { if(document.images) document.images[inames[num]].src = revert[num]; } function ShowHide(elementId) { var element = document.getElementById(elementId); if(element.style.display != "block") { element.style.display = "block"; } else { element.style.display = "none"; } } function UpdateText(element) { if(element.innerHTML.indexOf("Show") != -1) { element.innerHTML = "Hide Details"; } else { element.innerHTML = "Show Details"; } } </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder2" runat="server"> <uc1:LeadHeader ID="LeadHeader" runat="server" /> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> <div id="nav"> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="Default.aspx"> <img src="Images/home.jpg" alt="home" id="home" onmouseover="over(0)" onmouseout="out(0)" class="right" /></a> </div> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="AboutUs.aspx"> <img src="Images/whoweare.jpg" alt="who we are" id="whoweare" onmouseover="over(1)" onmouseout="out(1)" class="right" /></a> </div> <%-- <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"> </asp:ScriptManager> <cc1:Accordion ID="Accordion1" runat="server" AutoSize="None" FadeTransitions="true" TransitionDuration="350" FramesPerSecond="40" RequireOpenedPane="false" > <Panes> <cc1:AccordionPane runat="server"> <Header>--%> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="WhatWeDo.aspx"> <img src="Images/whatwedo.jpg" alt="what we do" id="whatwedo" onmouseover="over(2)" onmouseout="out(2)" class="right" onclick="ShowHide('divDetails');UpdateText(this);" /></a></div> <%--/Header> <Content>--%> <div id="divDetails" style="display:none;"> <a href="management.aspx" title="Management Development">Management Development</a><br /> <a href="leadership.aspx" title="Leadership Development">Leadership Development</a><br /> <a href="personal.aspx" title="Personal Development">Personal Development</a><br /> <a href="realteams.aspx" title="Team Building / Facilitation">Team Building & Facilitation</a><br /> <a href="coaching.aspx" title="Coaching">One to One Coaching</a> </div> <%-- </Content> </cc1:AccordionPane> </Panes> </cc1:Accordion> --%> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="OurApproach.aspx"> <img src="images/ourapproach.jpg" alt="our approach" id="ourapproach" onmouseover="over(3)" onmouseout="out(3)" /></a> </div> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="OurValues.aspx"> <img src="images/ourvalues.jpg" alt="our values" id="ourvalues" onmouseover="over(4)" onmouseout="out(4)" /></a> </div> <div class="menu-item"> <a href="ContactUs.aspx"> <img src="images/ContactUs.jpg" alt="contact us" id="contactus" onmouseover="over(5)" onmouseout="out(5)" /></a> </div> </div> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server"> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder3" runat="server"> <uc2:LeadFooter ID="LeadFooter" runat="server" /> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </div> </form> </body> </html>

  • TinyMCE is glitchy in IE8

    - by Force Flow
    I'm using the jQuery version of TinyMCE 3.3.9.3 In firefox, it works fine (10 sec video depicting it in use): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrAE0igfT3I In IE8 (in IE8 standards mode), I can't type or click any buttons. However, if I use ctrl+v to paste, then I can start typing, but the buttons still don't work (a 45 sec video depicting it in use): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBSRlE8D8F4 The jQuery TinyMCE demo on TinyMCE's site works for me in IE8. Here's the init code: $().ready(function(){ function tinymce_focus(){ $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout').css({'border-color' : '#6478D7'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceFirst td').css({'border-top-color' : '#6478D7'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceLast td').css({'border-bottom-color' : '#6478D7'}); } function tinymce_blur(){ $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout').css({'border-color' : '#93a6e1'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceFirst td').css({'border-top-color' : '#93a6e1'}); $('.defaultSkin table.mceLayout tr.mceLast td').css({'border-bottom-color' : '#93a6e1'}); } $('textarea.tinymce').tinymce({ script_url : 'JS/tinymce/tiny_mce.js', theme : "advanced", mode : "exact", theme : "advanced", invalid_elements : "b,i,iframe,font,input,textarea,select,button,form,fieldset,legend,script,noscript,object,embed,table,img,a,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6", //theme options theme_advanced_buttons1 : "cut,copy,paste,pastetext,pasteword,selectall,|,undo,redo,|,cleanup,removeformat,|", theme_advanced_buttons2 : "bold,italic,underline,|,bullist,numlist,|,forecolor,backcolor,|", theme_advanced_buttons3 : "", theme_advanced_buttons4 : "", theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top", theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left", theme_advanced_statusbar_location : "none", theme_advanced_resizing : false, //plugins plugins : "inlinepopups,paste", dialog_type : "modal", paste_auto_cleanup_on_paste : true, setup: function(ed){ ed.onInit.add(function(ed){ //check for addEventListener -- primarily supported by firefox only var edDoc = ed.getDoc(); if ("addEventListener" in edDoc){ edDoc.addEventListener("focus", function(){ tinymce_focus(); }, false); edDoc.addEventListener("blur", function(){ tinymce_blur(); }, false); } }); } }); }); Any ideas as to why it's not working in IE8?

  • Dynamicly set TextBlock's text binding

    - by Mitchell Skurnik
    I am attempting to write a multilingual application in Silverlight 4.0 and I at the point where I can start replacing my static text with dynamic text from a SampleData xaml file. Here is what I have: My Database <SampleData:something xmlns:SampleData="clr-namespace:Expression.Blend.SampleData.MyDatabase" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"> <SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> <SampleData:mysystem ID="1" English="Menu" German="Menü" French="Menu" Spanish="Menú" Swedish="Meny" Italian="Menu" Dutch="Menu" /> </SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> </SampleData:something> My UserControl <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" x:Class="Something.MyUC" d:DesignWidth="1000" d:DesignHeight="600"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource MyDatabase}}"> <Grid Height="50" Margin="8,20,8,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" d:DataContext="{Binding mysystemCollection[1]}" x:Name="gTitle"> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Text="{Binding English}" TextWrapping="Wrap" Foreground="#FF00A33D" TextAlignment="Center" FontSize="22"/> </Grid> </Grid> </UserControl> As you can see, I have 7 languages that I want to deal with. Right now this loads the English version of my text just fine. I have spent the better part of today trying to figure out how to change the binding in my code to swap this out when I needed (lets say when I change the language via drop down). Any help would be great!

  • ASP.NET page content doesn't change

    - by WtFudgE
    Hi, I created an application which has a menu where it's items are created dynamicly. The menu acts as a language menu. <body runat="server"> <form id="Form1" runat="server"> <table class="TableLayout"> <tr> <td class="TopNav" align="right"> <asp:Menu runat="server" ID="LanguageMenu" Orientation="Horizontal" OnMenuItemClick="LanguageMenu_MenuItemClick"> <LevelMenuItemStyles> <asp:MenuItemStyle CssClass="TopNavItem" /> </LevelMenuItemStyles> <StaticHoverStyle CssClass="TopNavItemHover" /> </asp:Menu> </td> </tr> ... I use session variables to set my current language. however if I click on the menu to change the session variable: public void LanguageMenu_MenuItemClick(Object sender, MenuEventArgs e) { Session["language"] = e.Item.Text; } The page reloads with the following code: sportsPath = String.Format(@"{0}{1}\Sports\", xmlPath, Session["language"]); //create LeftNavigation string[] sports = Directory.GetFiles(sportsPath); LeftNavigation.Items.Clear(); foreach (string sport in sports) { string text = sport.Replace(sportsPath, "").Replace(".xml", ""); MenuItem item = new MenuItem(); item.Text = text; LeftNavigation.Items.Add(item); } The thing is the content doesn't change, only after I click on something else. If I skip through my code after clicking on the menuItem I can see that it passes the code and it should change, however for some reason the page needs another extra trigger to modify it's content. I also see the page reloading so I don't understand why it's not changing immediatly. I guess I'm not understanding the asp.net logic just quite yet. What am I doing wrong?

Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.ui.core.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.ui.slider.js"></script> <link type="text/css" href="CSS/demos.css" rel="stylesheet" /> <link type="text/css" href="CSS/jquery-ui.css" rel="stylesheet" /> $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", 0); $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, 0]); $("#slider-constraints").slider({ max: document.mediaPlayer.SelectionEnd, animate: true, range: $R(0, document.mediaPlayer.SelectionEnd), values:(0,document.mediaPlayer.SelectionEnd), value: val, enforceConstraints: false, slide: function(event, ui) { document.mediaPlayer.currentPosition = ui.value; $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, ui.value]); $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", ui.value); }, start: function(event, index) { document.mediaPlayer.currentPosition = index.value; $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, index.value]); $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", index.value); } }); } // Haldler position window.setInterval(function() { if (document.mediaPlayer.PlayState != 2 && document.mediaPlayer.PlayState == 0) { $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, 0]); $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", 0); } else { $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, document.mediaPlayer.currentPosition]); } }, 3000); // Progressbar position window.setInterval(function() { if (document.mediaPlayer.PlayState != 2 && document.mediaPlayer.PlayState == 0) { $('#slider-constraints').slider("constraints", [0, 0]); $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", 0); } else { $('#slider-constraints').slider("value", document.mediaPlayer.currentPosition); } }, 3000); } <div id="slider-constraints" >&nbsp;</div>
