• Very Urgent :How to start a new session if a user click on the new tab in IE or mozilla on websphere

  Hi, I have one "user search" portlet on the home page of one application running on websphere portal server.Which display the matching user records as per the search criteria filled in the search form.I have requirement to have a "back to search input" link on the results page which onclick should show the filled form on the input jsp. The issue which i am facing is if i open the application in two diff tab of same IE browser and start giving some search criteria and submit and same time search for some other input from other IE tab (in the same browser)and then go back to previous tab and click on "back to search input" link then instead of showing me the first input it will show me the imput which i entered in the next IE tab. I am setting and getting the bean(form bean) through portlet session.but in the two diff tab of same IE it will be the sae user session (and may be the same portlet session..) Please tell me solution for this. The one thing to be notice here is i can access this "user search" application even without doing login also.so it must be taking the default portlet session in this case. what wil happen once i login and then search,will it going to overwrite the portlet session and http session or howz is that?

• Download Remote File

  Hello all, I have a function that will be passed in a link. The link is to a remote image. I thought I could just use the extension of the file in the URL to determine the type of image but some URLs won't have extensions in the URL. They probably just push headers to the browser and therefore I do not have an extension to parse from the URL. How can I test if the URL has an extension and if not then read the headers to determine the file type? Am I over complicating things here? Is there an easier way to do this? I am making use of Codeigniter maybe there is something already built in to do this? All I really want to do is download an image from a URL with the correct extension. • Convert a binary tree to linked list, breadth first, constant storage/destructive

  This is not homework, and I don't need to answer it, but now I have become obsessed :) The problem is: Design an algorithm to destructively flatten a binary tree to a linked list, breadth-first. Okay, easy enough. Just build a queue, and do what you have to. That was the warm-up. Now, implement it with constant storage (recursion, if you can figure out an answer using it, is logarithmic storage, not constant). I found a solution to this problem on the Internet about a year back, but now I've forgotten it, and I want to know :) The trick, as far as I remember, involved using the tree to implement the queue, taking advantage of the destructive nature of the algorithm. When you are linking the list, you are also pushing an item into the queue. Each time I try to solve this, I lose nodes (such as each time I link the next node/add to the queue), I require extra storage, or I can't figure out the convoluted method I need to get back to a node that has the pointer I need. Even the link to that original article/post would be useful to me :) Google is giving me no joy. Edit: Jérémie pointed out that there is a fairly simple (and well known answer) if you have a parent pointer. While I now think he is correct about the original solution containing a parent pointer, I really wanted to solve the problem without it :) The refined requirements use this definition for the node: struct tree_node { int value; tree_node* left; tree_node* right; };

• issue with tab bar view displaying a compound view

  I created a tab bar application, and I make the first tab a table. So I create a tableView controller, and go about setting the class identity of the view controller for the first tab to my tableView controller. This works fine, and I see the contents of the table filling up the whole screen. However, this is not what I actually want in the end goal - I would like a compound window having multiple views: - the aforementioned table - a custom view with data in it So what I do is create a nib for this content (call it contentNib), change the tab's class from the tableView controller to a generic UIViewController, and set the nib of that tab to this new contentNib. In this new contentNib I drag on a tableView and set File's Owner to the TableViewController. I then link the dataSource and delegate to file's owner (which is TableViewController). Surprisingly this does not work and I receive the error: **Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[UIViewController tableView:numberOfRowsInSection:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3b0f910'** This is bewildering to me since the file's owner is the TableViewController, which has been assigned to be both the dataSource and delegate. Does someone have either insight into my confusions, or a link to an example of how to have a compound view include a tableView? *update* I see this in the Apple TableView programming guide: "Note: You should use a UIViewController subclass rather than a subclass of UITableViewController to manage a table view if the view to be managed is composed of multiple subviews, one of which is a table view. The default behavior of the UITableViewController class is to make the table view fill the screen between the navigation bar and the tab bar (if either are present)." <----- I don't really get what this is telling me to do though... if someone can explain or point me to an example I'd be much appreciated!

• How Are These Styles Cascading?

  Problem is viewable at this link. http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForward.html The three boxes need to have green backgrounds, but another style is taking precedence. I thought styles were supposed to take precedence based on where they appear in the style sheets, with styles lower in the style sheet cascading (taking precedence) over styles higher in the style sheet. I guess that is wrong, because the style sheet for the background colors of those boxes is here: #maincontent .col { background: #ccc; background: rgba(204, 204, 204, 0.85); } #callout1 { background-color: #00B300; text-align:center; } #callout2 { background-color: #00CC00; text-align:center; } #callout3 { background-color: #00E600; text-align:center; } When the style for "#maincontent .col" is removed, the green shows up (link)http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForwardGreen.html, but I thought the green should show up because it is after the gray color specified higher up. I am finding a way to get what I need, but it would really make it a lot easier if I understood why the backgrounds are gray, instead of green. Any assistance would be extremely much appreciated. Is there a way to instruct jQuery UI to only set the <li> children of <ul id="main-tabs"> as the tabs? Note: I am currently in no position to change <ul id="filter-controls" into a non-ul element.

• Download and locally store all emails from all mailboxes on Office365?

  We have a business that uses Office365 and we want to be able to save all the emails locally. I found a thread on Office365 community pertaining to this and basically it was stated that there is no direct way of accomplishing this. I am curious if anyone has considered this and if there is a good method for storing these emails locally, even if it's some nifty PowerShell programming. All I've come up with is having a master mailbox which can view all mailboxes, and just have it sync and archive locally to the computer. I have not tried this yet, as the storage file sounds like it will be huge, so this does not seem like a fantastic idea and I'm open to any suggestions!

I decided to download an ISO and try. While dd definitely put the image on the USB stick it was not bootable. So my question is what is the magic ingredient that will make this work or why has this approach persisted if it does not work? • How can I sync Access databases and keep them up-to-date?

  I have an Access database on my server. We split it up and use the front-end database for search data and adding new records or reports in local computer. If we update or add a new record, that writes to the back-end of database. I want to use this database in the other building with other servers. Also, those servers have no direct connection. How can I sync both back-end databases to keep the database data up to date? These details may be useful: It's a big amount of data - about 25,750 client records. I guess there are more than 25 tables at 80 MB.

• Chromium never stops loading iGoogle

  I almost always keep a tab open on google.com/ig. Recently I've noticed that the "loading" animation for that tab never stops spinning, even though the page appears to be fully loaded. Even though there's no direct problem with this, I find the animation really distracting and to be honest it's driving me crazy. I've done a few things to try to figure this out. I've removed every single one of my gadgets (so my igoogle is blank), but that made no difference. I've disabled adblock and scriptno. nothing. I've watched the network console in developer tools to look for resources that haven't finished loading, but it looks like everything is done. I'm all out of ideas. For my sanity's sake, please help.

• Does a dedicated video card improve HTML5 websites, Skype or Flash games performance?

  I have read that having a dedicated video card (GPU) improves performance if you use your computer to play video games. I guess to make this happen, video games or apps must be using especial libraries designed to share the workload with the GPU, maybe Direct X or OpenGL, I don't know. Am I wrong? So, can HTML5 websites, Adobe Illustrator, Flash games (Zynga games), Skype or Netflix benefit from a dedicated video card? I usually do the previous activities simultaneously. Should I consider changing from an integrated video card to a dedicated card if I want to improve performance? Thanks.

• Netgear routers don't allow you to disable wireless admin??

  I just bought a new router, the NetGear WGR614. Nowhere in the settings can you disable the ability to administrate the router from a wireless connection, which opens it up to brute force attacks from outside the building. Furthermore, it doesn't require a direct connection to the router to admin either, you can admin it while you're connected to the Internet. This means it opens itself to the possibility of an attack from within the network. This is unbelievable to me. What am I missing? Can this be possible?

When you click on a menu item from there, the whole menu moves to the side, and the right side I want a "contentBox" movieclip, filled with "bagLink" (which is site content) and to have a close button (closeBtn.) It also needs to know that if you click the same link again on the left side that it doesn't reanimate, it just stays (which I achieved with the "if" statement.) Finally, if someone clicks another link, it needs to clear "contentBox" and refill it with whatever movieClip that was clicked. I know this is a lot to ask, but I'm in dire need of help as this is due on Wednesday...

• jQuery fade li elemet and cycle it when mouse hovered.

  I'm trying to recreate an effect in jQuery, where an element(<li> <img>) will be cycled and has a fading effect when hovered. The '<li>' contains '<img>' (image screenshots). when the mouse is on top of element it will keep cycling all that are in '<ul>' with a fading effect. when the mouse is away it will stop cycling the list. I also want to add a pager where you can navigate to the list. My Existing Code: link text My Problem: The current code has some problem with the pagination, it added all images that can be seen on the code. instead of 1-8 only, it continued to add another 1-8 and another. Second problem is, It also start cycling and fading when the page loads. The cycling and fading should only be working when the mouse is on top of the element. I don't know if the 'Cycle Plugin' is really required on this approach, I wan't it to be minimal as much as possible. I just use 'Cycle Plugin' because it's a quick answer to my problem.   I'd like to remove all invalid UTF-8 characters from a string in JavaScript. I've tried using the approach described here (link removed) and came up with the JavaScript: strTest = strTest.replace(/([\x00-\x7F]|[\xC0-\xDF][\x80-\xBF]|[\xE0-\xEF][\x80-\xBF]{2}|[\xF0-\xF7][\x80-\xBF]{3})|./, "$1"); It seems that the UTF-8 validation regex described here (link removed) is more complete and I adapted it in the same way like: strTest = strTest.replace(/([\x09\x0A\x0D\x20-\x7E]|[\xC2-\xDF][\x80-\xBF]|\xE0[\xA0-\xBF][\x80-\xBF]|[\xE1-\xEC\xEE\xEF][\x80-\xBF]{2}|\xED[\x80-\x9F][\x80-\xBF]|\xF0[\x90-\xBF][\x80-\xBF]{2}|[\xF1-\xF3][\x80-\xBF]{3}|\xF4[\x80-\x8F][\x80-\xBF]{2})|./, "$1"); Both of these pieces of code seem to be allowing valid UTF-8 through, but aren't filtering out hardly any of the bad UTF-8 characters from my test data: UTF-8 decoder capability and stress test. Either the bad characters come through unchanged or seem to have some of their bytes removed creating a new, invalid character. I'm not very familiar with the UTF-8 standard or with multibyte in JavaScript so I'm not sure if I'm failing to represent proper UTF-8 in the regex or if I'm applying that regex improperly in JavaScript. • Is it possible to stream music/video from an Apache server?

  I'm just starting to get into setting up a server. I've set up a basic Apache server to access some songs and movies. When I click one of the songs though, nothing happens. When I click one of the movies, sometimes it will open a new web page and act as though it is going to start playing, but never does. I know Apache is HTTP, not FTP and read somewhere that that could be a problem, but I'm uncertain of the differences. Anyway, is it possible to click on one of the songs and have it start streaming using, for example, Windows Media Player? If so, might someone either explain how to do so or direct me to where I can find it? Any information on retrieving media from an Apache server at this point would be most appreciated. -Edit- I don't know if it matters, but I'm using Windows 7 and Google Chrome

• Perl: Value of response code in HTTP::Request

  Hi all, So, I am writing a code to get a document from the internet. The document size is around 200 KB. However, the output is: "Error: 500 read timeout". When I checked the link externally, the data is being downloaded in under 5 seconds. I even changed the timeout to 1000s, but it still didn't work. How should I go about finding more information related to the response. The size of the file (around 200KB) is also not too great to warrant a read timeout. The server is also not a busy one, didn't give a problem whenever I checked the link on the browser. Thanks.

  I'm running MOSS 2007 and have created a new site under an existing one using sitemanager.aspx. I've done this on two machines. on one of those everything works correctly, while on the other some of the menu items for pages in the site seem to be gone. Also on the faulty site I get "Access denied" when I click "Version history". The permissions on both sites should be the same. I attach a screenshot of how the menus differ from each other. The one to the right (the faulty one) is unfortunately not in English but the items appearing on it are "Open link in a new window", "Copy", "Edit page settings" and "Version history". • jquery an div tags used in a ordered list

  hello everyone, i'm not sure where my errors are lying but here is my scenario... i have an un-ordered list in html that handles my main link bar... <ul id="navlist"> <li><a href="/" id="current">home</a></li> <li><a href="#" id="search">search</a></li> <li><a href="#" id="users">login</a></li> </ul> and what i want done is to call each id and have jQuery handle each and dislpay it where specified in my css file... for now, lets just ignore my "home" link... here is a snippet of my inline jquery $(document).ready(function() { $("a").click(function () { $("div#login").slideToggle("fast"); }); }) Now, whichever div i specify, it calls that ... however it will only call one div, using either from the un-orderd list, as mentioned above in the html. My Goal is to call a search bar when search is clicked, and to call a login box when login is clicked. to my knowledge (noob), i believe use an as a class, however that is what brings me here. i believe my error is in my jquery and not my css, as stated above, either instance will be displayed when the jquery function calls either tag. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance shan2on

• Solaris NFS: user permissions

  I am very new to NFS. I would like to make sure I am clear. If the NFS server shares a directory rw,, and all the files in the directory are permissions 700 and user/group for those files is root/root,,, On the client you would have to log in as root to see it. Is this correct? I am aware that a non root user on the client could make a direct connection to override this. (as in don't use the mount, just use an NFS client hack.) It really seems like anyone who has access to the client machine should have access to the files and that the client machine should be ignoring permissions. Only the server should handle permissions. Am I correct in my understanding? Is it normal to have this type of layout? Is there a way to ignore the permissions on the client side?

• iSCSI drives suddenly inaccessible or corrupted

  I have two NAS (Seagate Black Armors) connected to our network through iSCSI to a Dell Optiplex 760 running 32-bit Windows 7 and Windows iSCSI Initiator. For some unknown reason within the last week both are reportedly inaccessible and/or corrupt (that is the error message generated when I attempt to open the on the iSCSI computer). However, connecting to either of them via direct IP goes off without a hitch. I've tried Error checking but received "The disk check could not be performed because Windows could not access the disk." I've tried System Recover to a date almost two weeks back thinking Windows update may have caused the issue but there is no change. Anyone have an explanation and/or a solution to get them reconnected? Thanks.
