• Need help in filtering records based on radius value in solr

  Hi, I am using solr with Lucene spatial 2.9.1 as per http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-spatial/ I want to write a query, that will retrieve records within a given radius using hsin function, and using cartesian tiers as filters. So i wrote query like this http://localhost:8983/solr/select/?q=body:engineering colleges^0 AND _val_:"recip(hsin(0.227486,1.354193 , lat_rad, lng_rad, 4), 1, 1, 0)"^100 &&fq={!tier x=13.033993 y=77.589569 radians=false dist=4 prefix=tier_ unit=m} My records include many US records and few Indian records. For US records filtering based on radius is working fine. But for Indian records its not varying even if i change the radius . So can any one tell me if anything is wrong with the query or is there any configuration issues related to solr in order to make this work, or since record density is very less for Indian records filtering is not happening properly.Am not able to figure it out.   hi, right now, i code custom wordpress theme and testing it in xampp windows XP on apache server. But as long as i concern, there's no wp build-in function to identify the code environment. Is there's any PHP build-in function to identify such thing ? for the record, what i want to code need to read a directory. in my apache (in windows), the path will be c:/xampp/htdocs where apache on linux will be \somepath\somepath\ so, is there any code solution to know what is the OS environment without i have to compare the path ? i hope it will also work on other OS with other webserver then APACHE such as IIS

This means that it can often be more space-efficient to have properties such as 't', or 'b' rather than 'title' or 'body', however for fear of confusion I would avoid this unless truly required! I am aware of solutions of how to do it I am more intrested in when is it truly required?

• Linq To Sql Entity Updated from Trigger

  I have a Table called Address. I have a Trigger for insert on that table that does some spacial calculations on the address that determines what neighborhood boundaries it is in. address = new Address { Street = this.Street, City = this.City, State = this.State, ZipCode = this.ZipCode, latitude = this.Latitude, longitude = this.Longitude, YearBuilt = this.YearBuilt, LotSize = this.LotSize, FinishedSize = this.FinishedSize, Bedrooms = this.Bedrooms, Bathrooms = this.Bathrooms, UseCode = this.UseCode, HOA = this.HOA, UpdateDate = DateTime.Now }; db.AddToAddresses(address); db.SaveChanges(); In the database i can clearly see that the Trigger ran and updated the neighborhoodID in the address table for the row. I tried to just reload that record to get the assigned id like this: address = (from a in db.Addresses where a.AddressID == address.AddressID select a).First(); In the debugger i can clearly see that the address.AddressID is correct, entity doesn't update in memory. Is there any work around for this?

  i am exploring the option of whether DoCmd.TransferText will do what i need, and it seems like it wont. i need to insert data if it does not exist and update it if it does exist i am planning to read a text file line by line like this: Dim intFile As Integer Dim strLine As String intFile = FreeFile() Open myFile For Input As #intFile Line Input #intFile, strLine Close #intFile i guess each individual line will be a record. it will probably be comma separated and some fields will have a " text qualifier because within the field itself i will have commas my question is how would i read a comma delimited text file that has double quotes sometimes as text qualifiers into a table in access?

• Removing duplicates (within a given tolerance) from a Numpy array of vectors

  I have an Nx5 array containing N vectors of form 'id', 'x', 'y', 'z' and 'energy'. I need to remove duplicate points (i.e. where x, y, z all match) within a tolerance of say 0.1. Ideally I could create a function where I pass in the array, columns that need to match and a tolerance on the match. Following this thread on Scipy-user, I can remove duplicates based on a full array using record arrays, but I need to just match part of an array. Moreover this will not match within a certain tolerance. I could laboriously iterate through with a for loop in Python but is there a better Numponic way?

  Hello. I'm trying to use a QTreeView for a first time, with a QAbstractItemModel. And instantly it's a problem: QAbstractItemModel interface declares methods as 'const', assuming they will not change data. But i want a result of SQL query displayed, and returning data for a record with specified indeq REQUIRES to use QSqlQuery::seek() that is a non-const. Is it any 'official' guideline to use a QAbstractItemModel with data that MUST be changed in order to get number of items, data per item etc? Or i must hack C++ with const casts?

• Problems getting PowerPoint Combobox to list items correctly

  I am creating a PowerPoint in which I want users to be able to select an item from a list in a combo box. Nothing needs to happen after this, it is just to provide a record, on screen, of their choice. My problem is that I seem to either be able to populate the combo box and users can select an item but the list gets longer each time the combobox is clicked on (i.e each time it is clicked on the list gets duplicated). Or alternatively, I can clear the combo box, then populate it but in this scenario, the users choice also seems to get cleared.   Hi I am building a script for users new to Linux, so please understand why I am asking this :) My script runs like this: python script.py -f filename.txt I am using the optparse module for this. However, I noticed the following when doing tab completion. The tab completion works when I do: python script.py <tab completion> # Tab completion works normally as expected But it does not work when I do it like this: python script.py -f <tab completion> # No type of tab completion works here. I really don't want my users typing the name of the input file. Tab completion is a must. How can I get it working or what am I doing wrong here?

  In one SQL Task can I create a table variable DELCARE @TableVar TABLE (...) Then in another SQL Task or DataSource destination and select or insert into the table variable? The other option I have considered is using a Temp Table. CREATE TABLE #TempTable (...) I would prefer to use Table Variable so that it remains in memory. But can use temp table if it is not possible to use table variable. Also I cannot use the record set destination as I need to preform straight SQL tasks on it later on.

  I have a site set up using CakePHP and MySQL and I want to work on a test database without disrupting my live site in case something goes wrong. I have another busy site, but my test site runs off the live database which can be occasionally nerve wracking. What do I do if I change a table name in the test db and I want it changed in the live database? Or if I remove a record from the test database. Is there a way to diff the changes? How do I even merge those changes? How does this interfere with live user edits and things of that nature? Hopefully some of you working devs can share some insight!

  I am storing documents in sql server in varbinary(max) fileds, I use filestream optionally when a user has: (DB_Size + Docs_Size) ~> 0.8 * ExpressEdition_Max_DB_Size I am currently zipping all the files, anyway this is done because the Document Read/Write work was developed 10 years ago where Storage was more expensive than now. Many files when zipped are almost as big as the original (a zipped pdf is about 95% of original size). And anyway unzipping has some overhead, that becomes twice when I need also to "Check-in"/Update the file because I need to zip it. So I was thinking of giving to the users the option to choose whether the file type will be zipped or not by providing some meaningful default values. For my experience I would impose the following rules: 1) zip by default: txt, bmp, rtf 2) do not zip by default: jpg, jpeg, Microsoft Office files, Open Office files, png, tif, tiff Could you suggest other file types chosen among the most common or comment on the ones I listed here?

  I want to get the sum of several columns from 2 different tables (these tables share the same structure). If I only consider one table, I would write this kind of query: SELECT MONTH_REF, SUM(amount1), SUM(amount2) FROM T_FOO WHERE seller = XXX GROUP BY MONTH_REF; However, I would like to also work with the data from the table T_BAR, and then have a select query that return the following columns: MONTH_REF SUM(T_FOO.amount1) + SUM(T_BAR.amount1) SUM(T_FOO.amount2) + SUM(T_BAR.amount2) everything grouped by the value of MONTH_REF. Note that a record for a given MONTH_REF can be found in one table but not in the other table. In this case, I would like to get the sum of T_FOO.amount1 + 0 (or 0 + T_BAR.amount1). How can I write my SQL query to get this information? For information, my database is Oracle 10g.
