• GlassFish Security Realm, Active Directory and Referral

  I've setup up a Security Realm in Glassfish to authenticate against an Active Directory server. The configuration of the realm is as follows: Class Name: com.sun.enterprise.security.auth.realm.ldap.LDAPRealm JAAS context: ldapRealm Directory: ldap://172.16.76.10:389/ Base DN: dc=smallbusiness,dc=local search-filter: (&(objectClass=user)(sAMAccountName=%s)) group-search-filter: (&(objectClass=group)(member=%d)) search-bind-dn: cN=Administrator,CN=Users,dc=smallbusiness,dc=local search-bind-password: abcd1234! The realm is functional and I can log-in, but when ever I log in I get the following error in the log: SEC1106: Error during LDAP search with filter [(&(objectClass=group)(member=CN=Administrator,CN=Users,dc=smallbusiness,dc=local))]. SEC1000: Caught exception. javax.naming.PartialResultException: Unprocessed Continuation Reference(s); remaining name 'dc=smallbusiness,dc=local' at com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx.processReturnCode(LdapCtx.java:2820) .... .... ldaplm.searcherror While searching for a solution I found that it was recommended to add java.naming.referral=follow to the properties of the realm. However, after I add this it takes 20 minutes for GlassFish to authenticate against Active Directory. I suspect it is a DNS problem on the Active Directory server. The Active Directory server is a vanilla Windows Server 2003 setup in a Virtual Machine. Any help/recommendation is highly appreciated!

• Plot in GNU PLOT

  I have to plot many lines in GNU PLOT.No problem with the X axis. The problem that I am facing is that most of the plotted lines are at yscale [0-0.05] ,few at range 60-70 and rest at 600-700. These numbers correspond to the y axis scale values. But after I plot I can see only 3 sets of lines all messed up. There is no clearity between the lines. Line at 0 and the line at 0.003 look like one single line. If I set yrange[0:0.05], the lines between this range are clearly vissible. But I want all the lines in the same graph. I have heard of breaking axis's and multi plotting..Can they be useful? how to implement them. Anyone pls help me. • How to convert many-to-one XML data to DataSet?

  I have an XML document that has a collection of objects. Each object has a key/value pair of label and value. I am trying to convert this into a DataSet, but when I do ds.ReadXml(xmlFile), then it creates two columns: label and value. • JQGRID Master detail on different pages

  Hello, I need some help on next things. I was trying to do next few things. I have one grid_test.php (that creates jqgrid) and index_grid.php (just to display grid.php). jQGrid in grid.php have custom button named 'Prikazi'. I want the user to select one row from that grid and when press custom button 'Prikazi' to redirect to another page to show subgrid (and to pass parameter which is the id of the selected row). Subgrid is in the file detail_test.php and also I have file called index_detail.php (for displaying the file detail_test.php with jqgrid). These php files communicate by passing parameter id_reda (or id) that is id of the selected row in grid_test.php. I have tried many ways to achieve that but I wasn't able. Subgrid php file (detail_test.php) receives that parameter but when I add that to sql statement in subgrid file it shows next error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 0, 0' at line 16' in C:\Zend\Apache2\htdocs\jqSuitePHP3811SourceRadna\php\jqGridPdo.php:62 I really don't know what am I doing wrong. Maybe the passing of parameter is wrong and maybe subgrid can't create colModel properly. Or it has something to do with sql statements.   I have had the following problem for a while and I am really not sure how to solve it. The problem can currently be observed here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2009/11/16/the-not-so-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly-my-list-of-20-problems-with-htc-hero/ - feel free to use this for Firebugging. There are 2 notions here: a table of contents (toc) and notes. A note usually takes 100% of the post width and everything is fine. However, when a note appears next to a toc, the toc starts overlapping and covering the note (I set z-index:1 on the toc because otherwise the note covered it, which was even worse). It's interesting to point out that the text of the note doesn't get covered by the toc - only the note div itself does. In IE7, it's even worse - the note div jumps down to under the toc and leaves a lot of empty space (2nd screenshot). So, how can I solve this? The ideal solution would have the note div occupy 100% of the visible space - i.e. it would resize itself to fit right next to the toc when needed. Any points appreciated. Thank you!   I'm working on an iPhone app that should be able to play and record audio streaming data simultaneously. Is it actually possible?   I am working on an Asset Database problem. I receive $id from $_GET["id"]; I then query the database and display the results. This works if my id is an integer like "93650" but if it has other characters like "wci1001", it displays this MySQL error: Unknown column 'text' in 'where clause' All fields in tables are of type: VARCHAR(50) What would I need to do to be able to use this query to search by id that includes other characters? • How to improve performance of map that loads new overlay images

  I have inherited a website to maintain that uses a html map overlaying a real map to link specific countries to specific pages. previously it loaded the default map image, then with some javascript it would change the image src to an image with that particular country in a different colour on mouseover and reset the image source back to the original image on mouse out to make maintenance (adding new countries) easier i made the initial map a background image by utilising some CSS for the div tag, and then created new images for each country which only had that countries hightlight so that the images remain fairly small. this works great but theres one issue which is particularly noticeable on slower internet connections when you hover over a country if you dont have the image file in your browser cache or downloaded it wont load the image unless you hover over another country and then back onto the first country - i guess this is due to the image having to manually be downloaded on first hover.   Brief summary: I need a script/plugin for Firefox that selects the "load next 25 comments" link at the bottom of a web page, until that link is no longer on the page. As you click that link - you get more comments - eventually all of them on the same page. See this web page for an example (there are 1,852 comments): http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/05/16/gulf.oil.spill/index.html#comment-50598247 I have a regular problem with CNN.com. I post comments there. People sometimes reply to them. I check my profile, and see the number of replies, but I can't read them there. I have to follow the link to the original article. The fist set of comments are at the bottom, with a 'load next 25' link at the bottom. There are often hundreds of comments, and sometimes a few thousand. There is no practical way for me to read the replies to my comments. If there's under around 300 hundred, I'll just click that link enough times to see what the replies to my comments are. I need a script/plugin to select that 'load next 25' link until that link is no longer present on the page. Then I could just search for my userid and read the responses.

• Floats being pushed down in IE8 but not IE7 or Firefox

If you view it in IE8 compatibility mode, it doesn't happen, nor does it happen in Firefox. If you browse to a different page in IE8 the issue does not persist. The problem is that if it checks the first line and it fails the if statement, if goes through to the else statement and stops. I am trying to find a way where it will stop after the it finds the correct line but not until. If someone types in a value that isn't in the file, then it should show an error.

• Process is killed without a (obvious) reason and program stops working

  Here's what my program is supposed to do: create 4 child processes: process 0 is reading 1 byte at a time from STDIN, then writing it into FIFO process 1 is reading this 1 byte from fifo and write its value as HEX into shared memory process 2 is reading HEX value from shared memory and writing it into pipe finally process 3 is reading from pipe and writing into STDOUT (in my case: terminal) I can't change communication channels. FIFO, then shared memory, then pipes are the only option. My problem: Program stops at random moments when some file is directed into stdin (for example:./program < /dev/urandom). Sometimes after writing 5 HEX values, sometimes after 100. Weird thing is that when it is working and in another terminal I write "pstree -c" there is 1 main process with 4 children processes (which is what I want), but when I write "pstree -c" after it stopped writing (but still runs) there are only 3 child processes. For some reason 1 is gone even though they all have while(1) in them.. I think I might have problem with synchronization here, but I am unable to spot it (I've tried for many hours).
