    Hi I spent a day trying to make Ent Lib Logging work and log anything into database or event log, I have a web application and console application withe the same Ent Lib config, only the console is capable to log into the Event Log, I tried everything with permissions, but I don't know what exactly I am doing, which services should have what, It does not work!!   • How does scope in Javascript work?

    I can not understand how scoping works in Javascript. E.g. <html> <head> <script>var userName = "George"; </script> </head> <body> ...... <script> document.write('Name = ' + userName); </script> </body> </html> The variable userName is declared in another "section" of a script. As I understand it the browser renders html and executes code in the order it finds it. So how does userName in the second script tag gets resolved? Does it go to a global setting? Anything I declare earlier is global? I noticed the same happens if I do something like: <html> <head> <script> do { var userName = "George"; //bla } while (someCondition); </script> </head> <body> ...... <script> document.write('Name = ' + userName); </script> </body> </html> Even when userName is declared inside {} it is still resolved in the second script. How is that possible?

  • Maps with a nested vector

    For some reason the compiler won't let me retrieve the vector of integers from the map that I've created, I want to be able to overwrite this vector with a new vector.     I'm using cakephp 2.2.2 and I have a problem with the editing view Models and relationships are: Person hasMany OrganizationPerson Organization hasMany OrganizationPerson OrganizationPerson belongs to Person,Organization A basic hasMany through relationship as found within cake documentation. Tables are: people (id,...) organizations (id,...) organization_people (id, person_id,organization_id,...) In the person add and edit forms there is a select box allowing a user to select multiple organization. The problem I have is, when a user edits an existing person, the associated organizations aren't pre-selected. Here is the code in the PeopleController: $organizations = $this->Person->OrganizationPerson->Organization->find('list'); $this->set(compact('organizations')); Related part of the code in the People/edit code looks like: $this->Form->input('OrganizationPerson.organization_id', array('multiple' => true, 'empty' => false)); This will populate the select field, but it does not pre-select it with the Person's associated organizations. Format and content of the $this-data: Array ( [Person] => Array ( [id] => 1 ... ) [OrganizationPerson] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => 1 [person_id] => 1 [organization_id] => 1 ... ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 2 [person_id] => 1 [organization_id] => 2 ... ) ) ) What I have to add/change in the code to get pre-selected organizations?     Hi there, I'd like to initialise a dictionary of sets (in Python 2.6) using dict.fromkeys, but the resulting structure behaves strangely.     I am a bit confused with this: I have a page with a set of buttons (i.e. elements with class attribute 'button'. The buttons belong to one of two classes (grp1 and grp2). These are my requirements For buttons with class enabled, when the mouse hovers over them, a 'button-hover' class is added to them (i.e. the element the mouse is hovering over). Otherwise, the hover event is ignored When one of the buttons with class grp2 is clicked on (it has to be 'enabled' first), then I disable (i.e. remove the 'enabled' class for all elements with class 'enabled' (should probably selecting for elements with class 'button' AND 'enabled' - but I am having enough problems as it is, so I need to keep things simple for now).     Currently I'm using <pre><code> code here </code><pre> to display code. I'm pulling this information from a DB for a blog. The problem I'm having is that some of the code isn't showing.     I would like to build two different versions of a WAR in Maven (I know that's a no-no, that's just the way it is given the current situation). In the version of a WAR depicted by an assembly, I want to replace a dependency by the same dependency with a different classifier.   • Get dragged / saved items state back from Sql Server

    Ok i saw many post's on how to serialize the value of dragged items to get hash and they tell how to save them. Now the question is how do i persist the dragged items the next time when user log's in using the has value that i got eg: <ul class="list"> <li id="id_1"> <div class="item ui-corner-all ui-widget ui-widget-content"> </div> </li> <li id="id_2"> <div class="item ui-corner-all ui-widget ui-widget-content"> </div> </li> <li id="id_3"> <div class="item ui-corner-all ui-widget ui-widget-content"> </div> </li> <li id="id_4"> <div class="item ui-corner-all ui-widget"> </div> </li> </ul> which on serialize will give "id[]=1&id[]=2&id[]=3&id[]=4" Now think that i saved it to Sql server database in a single field called SortOrder. However PartialForEach(x = x.Orders) does not, as nothing is rendered for the order. If I set a breakpoint on the Order constructor, I see that it initially gets called by the Index method on CustomersController, but then it gets called by FubuMVC.Core.Models.StandardModelBinder.Bind, so it is getting re-instantiated by FubuMVC and losing the content of the Orders collection. This isn't quite what I'd expect, I would think that PartialForEach would just pass the domain object directly into the partial. Am I missing the point somewhere? What is the 'correct' way to achieve this kind of result in Fubu?

  • clock and date showing on a live site but not on localhost

    I've got clock.swf and date.swf working fine on a live site, now I am using the same code to set up a local develop environment. Everything is working well except the clock.swf and date.swf stopped working on localhost. Two same yellow errors "You need to update your Flash plugin. Click here if you want to continue." but of course my Flash player is up to date since the live site is working fine. I'll post the code below which I think has caused the error. I've been searching online for the last couple of hours but no luck, anyone has got into an issue like this before? What can be the possible cause? Any help is appreciated.
