• Extra blank page when converting HTML to PDF using abcPDF.

  I have an HTML report, with each print page contained by a <div class="page">. The page class is defined as width: 180mm; height: 250mm; page-break-after: always; background-position: centre top; background-image: url(Images/MainBanner.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; padding-top: 30mm; After making a few changes to my report content, when I call abcPDF to convert the report to PDF, suddenly I'm getting a blank page inserted after every real report page. I don't want to roll back the changes I've just made to remove this problem, so I'm hoping someone may know why the extra pages are being inserted.

• Non-resizeable, bordered WPF Windows with WindowStyle=None

  Basically, I need a window to look like the following image: http://screenshots.thex9.net/2010-05-31_2132.png (Is NOT resizeable, yet retains the glass border) I've managed to get it working with Windows Forms, but I need to be using WPF. To get it working in Windows Forms, I used the following code: protected override void WndProc(ref Message m) { if (m.Msg == 0x84 /* WM_NCHITTEST */) { m.Result = (IntPtr)1; return; } base.WndProc(ref m); } This does exactly what I want it to, but I can't find a WPF-equivalent. The closest I've managed to get with WPF caused the Window to ignore any mouse input. Any help would be hugely appreciated :)

• iPad UIWebView PDF rendering is giving me weird visual artifacts

  I am having some difficulty using a UIWebView to render PDF files on the iPad. Everything works fine in portrait mode, but turning the device to landscape produces strange visual quirkiness. Zooming in (but not out) even the slightest will correct it, but obviously that's not an ideal workaround. The issue occurs with any PDF file (I have tried several, all stored locally in the bundle, not retrieved from the web). I also created a clone of the project for iPhone, which seems to work just fine, so the problem is iPad-specific. The problem occurs both in the simulator as well as on a physical iPad. • MSBuild cannot find SGen when compiling a solution

  I've looked at several other SGen-related questions on here and either their answers don't apply or their answers don't fix this for me. I have installed several SDKs to fix this issue with no luck. Reference types should not be changed since this is the only place this is a problem. Once suggestion is to put SGen.exe into the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5 folder, but that's not been done on the box where this is not a problem. In this scenario, SGen.exe actually exists and is right where it's supposed to be, but MSBuild still is having issues with finding it for some reason! Background: We have a NAnt script that automates our builds. In this scenario, NAnt is calling MSBuild and MSBuild is generating the error claiming to be unable to find SGen. The project is .NET 3.5-based. I have my primary dev environment (64-bit Vista Ultimate) where the script works perfectly and I am attempting to duplicate it in a VM (64-bit Win 7 Ultimate). I THINK I have everything to the point where I should be good-to-go but this fails on the Win7 box (works perfectly on the Vista box). I have done some comparisons between the two boxes and they both look identical in this regard, but it still fails. For example, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework's sdkInstallRootv2.0 value is set to C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0 64bit\ on both machines. In both machines, SGen.exe is in that path's bin subdirectory.   I've googled around everywhere, but cannot find much for rendering strings to textures and then displaying that texture on a quad on the screen. Can someone provide a run-down on the process or provide good resources that describe how? Is rendering strings to textures even the best method for displaying text in an Android OpenGL ES app? EDIT: Okay, so LabelMaker interferes with alpha blending, the texture (created from a PNG with a transparent background) now has a solid black background, rather than a transparent background. If I comment out all the LabelMaker-related code, it works fine.

• Convert WPF BitmapSource to Icon for window

  I have a 16x16 .png file which I have loaded as an ImageSource (BitmapSource) and it is working fine when I use it on an Image in a tabcontrol header. I now want to use that same image in a floating window (inherited from the WPF Window class) when the user drags the document tab. (This is AvalonDock which I have tweaked to allow images in the tab header) After many searches on the web, I understand that Window.Icon requires a BitmapFrame but all the sample code seems to assume that a .ico file is available which it isn't in my case. I have tried the following code (plus variants including cloning, freezing etc): var image = (Image) content.Icon; var bitmapSource = (BitmapSource) image.Source; Icon = BitmapFrame.Create(bitmapSource); but when the Show() method is called, an exception is thrown: "Exception of type 'System.ExecutionEngineException' was thrown." How can a I create a compatible bitmap on the fly to allow the Window to display the icon?

• Sending and receiving a TMemoryStream using IdTCPClient and IdTCPServer

  I found Remy Lebeau's chat demo of IdTCP components in XE2 and I wanted to play with it a little bit. (It can be found here) I would like to send a picture using these components and the best approach seems to be using TMemoryStream. If I send strings, the connection works fine, the strings are transmitted successfully, however when I change it to Stream instead, it doesn't work. However, when closing the programs(after sending the MemoryStream), two things happen: If the Client is closed first, only then does the except part get processed (the log displays the 'Failed to receive' error. However, even if I place a breakpoint on the first line of the try-except block, it somehow gets skipped and only the error is displayed). If the Server is closed first, the IDE doesn't change back from debug, Client doesn't change its state to disconnected (as it normally does when server disconnects) and after the Client is closed as well, an Access Violation error from the Server app appears. I guess this means that there is a thread of the Server still running and maintaining the connection. But no matter how much time i give it, it never completes the task of receiving the MemoryStream. Note: The server uses IdSchedulerOfThreadDefault and IdAntiFreeze, if that matters. As I can't find any reliable source of help for the revamped Indy 10 (it all appears to apply for the older Indy 10, or even Indy 9), I hope you can tell me what is wrong.   Hello. I added Orthographic Camera to my project. I want to show my chart on screen proportional. For example height is 4 and width 4 (region from -2 to 2). I set width to 4 and it perfectly fit my square in widht. but i have problem with height. The chart top and bottom is always out of screen space. Why this happens and how to set to camera view the same width and height ? Camera position: 0,0,5 Viewport have size: 571.5x497 On image we can see on vertical axis points from 2 to -2 but on vertical much more. How to make them same?   I'm trying to resize an image using stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth: it works on the simulator, but on the device, vertical green bars appears. I've tried to use imageNamed, imageWithContentOfFile and imageWithData lo load the image, it doesnt change. • iPhone MFMailComposeViewController's "cancel" button displays Action Sheet w/ incorrect orientation.

  I've been trying to add in-app email functionality and have been somewhat successful. The MailCompose view is displayed properly. But when "Cancel" is pressed the Action Sheet with "Delete", "Save as Draft" and "Cancel" animates in from the left as if the view controller is set to portrait mode*, yet the width (or height depending on how you look at it) is that of an action sheet in landscape mode as seen in the following image: http://dansandland.com/storage/screen-shot-2.png *The view controller is set to Landscape Left, both in the plist file and the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation method of all view controllers. • UITableView custom popping

  Okay, I made an app that has a list of items as a main view, and when you select an item it pushes a detail view controller. In this detail view controller you can switch between items. I want to be able to push a view, scroll a few items, and pop the view as if the current item was initially selected. I want to push a view, and then when i pop it, i want it to look like a different view was initially pushed. • Configurationless WCF using Factories and JSONP

  I'm using the WebServiceHostFactory in my WCF services to avoid having to create a crapton of binding configuration in web.config. However, I'd like to expose the services as XML/JSON and JSONP. Reading: http://jasonkelly.net/archive/2009/02/24/using-jquery-amp-jsonp-for-cross-domain-ajax-with-wcf-services.aspx It does not look like I can extend WCF to add JSONP without resorting to a mountain of custom binding config. So, for those who have done it, is it possible to have a restful WCF service that responds in XML/JSON/JSONP depending on the UriTemplate, without resorting to a ton of config wiring?
