  • Convert DVD to a flash application (including menus)

    I was wondering if it is possible to convert a dvd to a flash application which I could then embed in a website. What I am looking for is not simply ripping the video, but something that encodes the menus and the navigation of the dvd, as well, and the result is an interactive flash application. Thanks!   • Working around Gmail mailing-list "feature."

    I'm using Google Apps for my domain's e-mail via IMAP. Whenever I send mail to a mailing list, I don't receive a copy of my own mail back in my inbox. According to Google, this is a "feature." Is there a way to disable this "feature" so that all mail I send to mailing lists appears in my inbox just like all other e-mail? Perhaps something along the lines of this method for disabling Google's spam filter??

    I've windows 8.1 pro Build 9600 x64 installed, I have recently installed Windows Movie Maker 2012 (Latest) via Windows Live Essential, Now when I run Movie Maker it disable Movie Maker sound as well as all windows sound and keeps it mute until I close Movie Maker, as per their suggestion Huge Problems With Movie Maker Sound I have also updated my audio drivers, I'm using Dell Inspiron 15R 5520, and I have this audio device/driver Conexant HD CX20672-21Z Audio Driver with Version 8.54.37.0,A03 Last Updated 12/20/2013 I need to edit and create a video by this weekend and this is the only tool I know how to use,

After noticing a glitch with the original, i tried fix it by replacing the source clip. However, in iMovie, i can only replace one clip extract at a time. Is there anyway that i can replace the source clip, and thus, update all the extracted clips?

    I'm moving to Google Apps and have setup dual-delivery. Everything is fine, but for mail sent internally (from [email protected] to [email protected]), Exchange is not using the send connectors I have pointing to Google's servers. I believe my question is similar to this question: How to force internal email through an smtp connector in exchange 2007 Again, if a user is connected to the Exchange server and tries to send to [email protected] it works just fine, but I cannot seem to force *@mydomain.com to route correctly. This should be a fairly simple, but according to this: google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Apps/thread?tid=30b6ad03baa57289&hl=en (can't post two links due to spam prevention) It does not seem possible. Any ideas?

Between the VGA port location and my hand size, I knock the cable out often. I am working on getting a docking station, but not sure when it would be ordered (work-related).     In Chrome 20 and older versions, you could simply open any .user.js file in Chrome and it would prompt you to install the user script. However, in Chrome 21 and up, it downloads the file instead, and displays a warning at the top saying “Extensions, apps, and user scripts can only be added from the Chrome Web Store”. The “Learn More” link points to http://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2664769, but that page doesn’t say anything about user scripts, only about extensions in .crx format, apps, and themes. This part sounded interesting: Enterprise Administrators: You can specify URLs that are allowed to install extensions, apps, and themes directly through the ExtensionInstallSources policy. So, I ran the following commands, then restarted Chrome and Chrome Canary: defaults write com.google.Chrome ExtensionInstallSources -array "https://gist.github.com/*" defaults write com.google.Chrome.canary ExtensionInstallSources -array "https://gist.github.com/*" Sadly, these settings only seem to affect extensions, apps, and themes (as it says in the text), not user scripts. (I’ve filed a bug asking to make this setting affect user scripts as well.) Any ideas on how to install a private user script (that I don’t want to add to the Chrome Web Store) in Chrome 21+? Update: The problem was that gist.github.com’s raw URLs redirect to a different domain.   • Good DVD ripper - for Divx

    I'm currently going through my DVD collection, and digitising it, to allow me to watch it on a media streamer (I'm NOT a filesharer!!) I want to know what software i should use, to convert my DVD's to AVI divx format. I currently use Xilisoft DVD ripper, however this creates a "letterbox" at the top and bottom of the file - and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn this off. I'm a novice at video encoding, so would need something fairly simple / well documented.

    Short of getting a Mac and using iMovie, what are the alternatives that you'll recommend to a non-profit organization that needs to produce simple (but polished) videos to showcase their community service activities to raise funds. Currently they are using Windows Movie Maker but have sort of outgrown it. I installed Jashaka for them, and understandably, they couldn't grok it at all. Their current system is powerful enough to handle most video editing tasks.

When a user A comment to a post, the poster will get an email notification from '[email protected]' with the comment message written by user A. (Not spam) I really like Google Apps but they have sending limits 2000 sending per day, that is not suit for my case becuz I cannot have sending limits. My web application will host in linode, I am considering "Amazon Simple Notification Service" for the email notification.   • H.323 to RTSP gateway?

    Is there such a thing as a H.323 to RTSP gateway? Am I searching for the wrong terms? This site seems to imply that such a thing should already exists, but I cannot find anything at all. My end goal is to connect a Flash applet (via RTMP) on one end to a video conference (which uses H.323) on the other end. I have a RTMP<--RTSP/RTP gateway, so a RTSP<--H.323 gateway would allow this solution to work.

    I blocked a page in robots.txt under User-agent: *, and tried to do a manual removal of that URL from Google's cache in the webmasters tools. Google said it wasn't being blocked in my robots.txt, so I then blocked it specifically under User-agent: GoogleBot and tried removing it again and this time it worked. Does that mean Google doesn't respect User-agent: * or what?

VirtualDub won't touch it.. and ultra-vibe no longer exists and the other "freeware mp4 combiners" all didn't work or were hobbled. Does anyone know a way?
