• What's the best way to upload 1,000 (different) content files to a GAE Java web app every day?

  I need to upload a large number of content files to an App Engine app every day - perhaps 1,000 or more - that will be served from the app. Cumulatively over time I expect these uploads to add up to over 1,000,000 separate content files stored in the production app. Is the appcfg tool the best or only way to carry out these daily batch file uploads?

  Is there an open source UIView component that supports multiple, dynamic tabbed views for the iPhone (iPad) SDK? I see several apps in the iPad App Store which utilize tabs, one such example is the Atomic Web Browser which provides a tabbed browsing experience (like Safari on the Mac or Firefox). Instead of reinventing this functionality, I'd like to reuse an existing component.

• White dialog theme

  I've noticed some apps have a dialog with white background, including along the title border, as opposed to the default black. I know how to make the background white but the whiteness doesn't extend to the dialog's title border. I mainly use AlertDialog.Builder to make my dialogs so ideally something I can easily to that.

  Hi all, I'm writing a Java applet where I should be able to simulate a connection between two hosts. Hence I have to generate packet round-trip times at random. These RTTs can go from ~0 to infinity, but are typically oscillating around some average value (i.e. an extremely large or small value is very improbable but possible).   Hi, I've got quite a large Xcode project that since an Xcode upgrade is giving me loads of "'weak_import' attribute ignored" warnings, they are coming from WebKit, and a bit of research suggests it's a compiler bug. Is there anyway to suppress them, I'm getting thousands, making the 'real' warnings impossible to find. Cheers MT

  Hi all, After hours of reading about and experimenting with DNS records I can access my Google app engine app via these URLs: myappid.appspot.com www.myappid.myowndomain.com What does not work: myowndomain.com www.myowndomain.com I want to be able to serve my app directly off my domain and not a subdomain. • Custom Items in Lists in C# forms?

  I'm a bit new to the C#-form app developing and I want know, what's the best way around at making a control that holds a list of horizontal items. In which each of these items are horizontally ruled to it's parent control, contain a thumbnail to the left and a large text block to the right of image and a smaller text block underneath that.   OK, I know, Int32.MaxValue * Int32.MaxValue will yield a number larger than Int32 BUT, shouldn't this statement raise some kind of an exception? I ran across this when doing something like IF (X * Y Z) where all are Int32. in X and Y are sufficiently large enough, you get a bogus value from X*Y Why is this so and how to get around this? besides casting everything to int64

  The question gives all necessary data: what is an efficient algorithm to generate a sequence of K non-repeating integers within a given interval. The trivial algorithm (generating random numbers and, before adding them to the sequence, looking them up to see if they were already there) is very expensive if K is large and near enough to N. The algorithm provided here seems more complicated than necessary, and requires some implementation. I've just found another algorithm that seems to do the job fine, as long as you know all the relevant parameters, in a single pass.
