• Sending formatted Lotus Notes rich text email from Excel VBA

  I have little Lotus Script or Notes/Domino knowledge but I have a procedure, copied from somewhere a long time ago, that allows me to email through Notes from VBA. I normally only use this for internal notifications where the formatting hasn't really mattered. I now want to use this to send external emails to a client, and corporate types would rather the email complied with our style guide (a sans-serif typeface basically). I was about to tell them that the code only works with plain text, but then I noticed that the routine does reference some sort of CREATERICHTEXTITEM object. Does this mean I could apply some sort of formatting to the body text string after it has been passed to the mail routine? As well as upholding our precious brand values, this would be quite handy to me for highlighting certain passages in the email. I've had a dig about the 'net to see if this code could be adapted, but being unfamiliar with Notes' object model, and the fact that online Notes resources seem to mirror the application's own obtuseness, meant I didn't get very far. • In the Xcode SplitView template for an iPad app, how do I add a Date Picker control to the Root View

  I'm diving into iPhone OS development on the iPad and one of the things I'm playing with is the SplitView template. The template provides a window with a UISplitView view, containing the Root View (on the left of the window) and the Detail View (on the right of the window). The Root View is a subclass of a TableView. Rather than having the entire Root View consist of a TableView, I'd like it to contain a DatePicker view along with the TableView under it. When I go into IB and try and drop a DatePicker into the Root View, it won't let me. It will only let me add a DatePicker view to the Detail View. Why wont IB let me drop a DatePicker view into the Root View? How can I add a DatePicker to the RootView in addition to the TableView? I'm still learning this new platform, so I apologize if these questions are absurd in any way. Thanks so much in advance for your help, I'm going to continue researching these questions right now.

I always just end up putting them in the code-behind and casting the DataContext as SomeViewModel, then passing the MouseEventArgs on to a handler in my view-model. That's bad enough already, but in this case, I'm actually passing in a control (a Viewport3D), which is necessary for translating coordinates between 2D and 3D. Any suggestions on how to make this more in tune with MVVM?

  I am automatically creating a PDF from some of our reports in a month-end process. I am running into a problem where ReportViewer.LocalReport can't find my report. Within the project, the report files are in "(project root folder)/Reports/report.rdlc". How do I set ReportViewer.LocalReport.ReportPath so I can reference my report file? I would rather not set the full path because I don't know where it would be installed when installed on the client machines.

  First of all, I wrote a simple php page, that picks up some variables from the POST parameters such as a query and a authentication string, and returns the result as xml. I intend to call this page with the WebClient class from a Silverlight application. I'm using POST because we are querying the database with any valid sql statement, not only select statements. The WebClient class uses the UploadDataAsync method to post to a http server, however it requires the post parameters be passed as a NameValueCollection. This class is missing in the Silverlight runtime. How do I proceed???

Can a header be added in the received mail regarding the status of the results of the above verification process, since i will not reply any traces from my incoming mail receiving Postfix server, so i need this feature?   Hello all, I have just realised if I add a particular record to my MySQL database - it will have a date/time of the server and not the particular user and where they are located which means my search function by date is useless! As they will not be able to search by when they have added it in their timezone rather when it was added in the servers timezone. Is there a way in Codeigniter to globally set time and date specific to a users location (maybe using their IP) and every time I call date() or time() that users timezone is used. What I am actually asking for is probably how to make my application dependent on each users timezone? Maybe its better to store each users timezone in their profile and have a standard time (servers time) and then convert the time to for each user? Thanks all

Here is what I have tried: Delete all provisioning profiles Delete login keychain Create new "login" keychain, make it default Create a new cert signing request Create new developer and distribution certs in the apple developer center Download and install them Download the WWDR cert and install it Create a new provisioning profile and double click it to install All the certificates report as valid, but xcode still won't recognize them. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Edit: I completely re-installed osx and from a fresh install installed the 3.0 sdk and still the same problem.

  I've been running the built-in Ant from the command line on a Macintosh (10.5.5) and have run into some trouble with the Mail task. Running the Mail task produces the following message: [mail] Failed to initialise MIME mail: org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.email.MimeMailer This is most likely due to a missing ant-javamail.jar file in the /usr/share/ant/lib directory. I see a "ant-javamail-1.7.0.pom" file in this directory but not the appropriate jar file. Anyone know why this jar file might be missing and what the best way to resolve the problem is?

  SASL/PAM/LDAP is driving me crazy... that's what I read a lot when googling for problems in this area, and what I experience myself :-S I'm trying to get Cyrus imap working for virtual hosting on CentOS with this authorisation backend and really don't know what's happening. In saslauthd I configured the LDAP search filter to use, but it looks like pam completely ignores it. The weird thing is, I do get an error when I rename or remove /etc/saslauthd.conf, but when the file exists it seems happily ignored... The filter in slapd.log seems to be taken from /etc/ldap.conf.   Hello, My iphoneos 3.1 based application is not working on iOS 4 GM: the camera is not showing in full screen, it doesn't correctly detects compass information, the uiwebviews doesn't respond to touches (they don't scroll), and so on. It's completely broken! Now my question is: how can I develop an update using the latest xcode with support for ios 4? The latest iOS 4 xcode (3.2.3) doesn't provide any way to develop for iPhoneOS 3.x ("base sdk missing"). By the other side, xcode 3.2.2 would not allow me to debug it on a iOS 4 device, so I can't test it.

My goal is this: Take an XML source and parse it into a fair equivalent of an associative array, then store it as a persistable object. the xml is pretty simple: <root> <element> <category_id>1</category_id> <name>Cars</name> </element> <element> <category_id>2</category_id> <name>Boats</name> </element> </root> Basic java class below. When I print out the vector as a string, I usually end up with results like this: [{ = root, = element}] and that's it. No "category_id", no "name" Ideally, I would end up with something like [{1 = cars, 2 = boats}] Any help is appreciated. Thanks
