• How to autoscroll on WPF datagrid

  Hi, I think I am stupid. I searched now for 15 minutes, and found several different solutions for scrolling on datagrids, but none seems to work for me. I am using WPF with .NET 3.5 and the WPF Toolkit DataGrid. My grid gets updated when my observable collection changes, works perfectly. Now, my DataGrid is located inside a normal Grid and scrollbars appear if the DataGrid gets to big. Also fine... And know, the 1.000.000 $ question: How do I get the datagrid to scroll to the last row. There is: no AutoScroll Property no CurrentRowSelected Index a CurrentCell, but no Collection I could use for CurrentCell = AllCells.Last Any ideas? I feel really stupid, and it seems strange that this question is so hard. What am I missing?

• Can't make wmode: 'transparent' work on sIFR 3

  I've been trying to use sIFR to change some text in my webpage. It works fine until I try to get it to use a transparent canvas. The code I'm using is as follow. I have no idea to fix it. I've seen a lot of people make this questions about wmode: 'transparent' and it all seems to work but mine. Can someone give me a hand??? Without the wmode: 'transparent' property it works fine. • Cocoa Application with Menubar but no Dock Icon / switch menu

  Hi, This is yet one more of those "how to switch from running with a dock icon to running without one" questions with a twist.. I don't want the dock icon but I do want a menu bar when the application is at the front. Is that possible? Running an application with LSUIElement set to 1 in the plist will launch the application without a dock icon, not showing up in the command-tab switch list and without a menu. You can switch from that mode to the "normal" mode with all three switched on via SetSystemModeUI from 10.2 onwards and via NSApplication setApplicationActivationPolicy since 10.6, but crucially there is no way back to the previous mode (go figure). So one way around this would be to launch with LSUIElement = 1 and then activate the menu bar when the application gets the focus and deactivate it on the application losing the focus.. alas I can't find a way of doing that.   We observed that sudden increase of SQL connections during a specific hour, it is a backend of a SharePoint 2007 Farm. From SharePoint 2007 Perspective: 1. Incremental crawling is scheduled at that time and few of the Timer jobs (normal timer jobs) are scheduled to run every mins / per 10mins. 2. Number of user requests are less. From SQL Server 2005 Perspective: 1. Transaction log backup is scheduled at that time 2. No other scheduled jobs are running at that time. so, how to narrow down the issue, what would be causing the sudden SQL connection increase?

• Using .htaccess to server files from Amazon S3 CloudFront

  My ideal setup would be to take a current clients site, upload a .htaccess with a regex inside, that would match the URI, and if it finds a certain file extension, it would use the same path, but with an altered domain. ie. Normal path: http://www.domain.com/something/images/someimage.jpeg http://www.domain.com/assets/js/jquery.js .htaccess translated would turn the above into: http://mycdn.other.com/something/images/someimage.jpeg http://mycdn.other.com/assets/js/jquery.js I googled this for hours in a row, no luck. Again, this is for actually making use of Amazon's CloudFront. S3 is already mounted to the website for backups and storing files using s3fs, but this doesn't solve the issue since it's using S3 directly, not using the CloudFront.

  I already read the datasheet and google but I still don't understand something. In my case, I set PIN RC6 of a PIC18F26K20 in INPUT mode: TRISCbits.TRISC6 = 1; Then I read the value with PORT and LATCH and I have different value! v1 = LATCbits.LATC6; v2 = PORTCbits.RC6; v1 gives me 0 where v2 gives 1. Is it normal? In which case we have to use PORT and in which case LATCH?

• World of Warcraft addon — SetCursor not working when hovering over WorldFrame

  In my World of Warcraft addon, I want to set the cursor to a certain image. I do this using SetCursor. Problem is, whenever the cursor exits my frame and hovers over the WorldFrame, the cursor is reset back to the normal one. I know of a certain addon that does overcome this problem, but I am not too sure how, because its source code is messy as hell. (The addon is Gryphonheart Items, in case you asked yourself.) How do I make the cursor stay?

  Hi, i'm making an app that needs to be up and running at all times. (24/7) I'm not very expirienced with services, but I read on the internet that services can be made uncolasble by setting their "onclose" property to false. I have got the service monitoring my app, and the service can't be closed directly from the task manager services window... but, when I click "go to process" task manager leads me to the process the service spawned. From there I can close the process and instantly close the service. Since I don't have much expirience with services i'm wondering, is this behavior normal? If not, how to make the service unstopable?

• Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data

  I created an assembly containing WCF service code and dropped into another web project. When I try to invoke a service method, I get the following inner exception: Request for the permission of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlClientPermission, System.Data, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. Why this is happening? My newly created assembly lives inside the ASP.NET /bin folder along with other assemblies. At this level, should the database not know or care whether it is being called from a web service or from a normal call? How would it know that my assembly is foreign? How do I resolve this issue?

  Hi, Background - I can get HttpListener working fine for HTTP traffic. I'm having trouble with HTTPS traffic however. QUESTION: How can I change the code below so that a browser request to a "https" URL will actually be picked up by my HttpListener? Notes - At the moment with firefox's proxy settings set to "localhost:8080", when I listen to traffic on port 8080 ("https://*:8080/"), and I enter a HTTPS url in firefox, I am getting no traffic being picked up? • Convert javascript ticks to date in Flot jQuery-plugin issue

  I have a dynamic Flot graph with dates on the x-axis and numbers on the y-axis. To get the Flot-plugin to read the date object correctly, I had to convert the dates to ticks (with getTime()). My problem is that I can't revers the ticks back to a normal date in my tooltip hover on the graph. I've tried to revers it with this: dateTimeObject = new Date((jsTicks - 621355968000000000) / 10000); All I get, no matter what jsTicks is, is "Jan 02 0001 hh:mm:ss (almost current time)" What am I doing wrong?

  This is an age old problem of interactive elements inside interactive elements, but I want a ScatterViewItem to contain other surface interactive elements such as a SurfaceButton or SurfaceCheckBox. I've got all my elements in there and they react to taps etc. The problem is that I only get the normal ScatterView behavior once I click on an area that does not contain a control. • What happens if my IExceptionPublisher throws an Exception?

  Hi, I'm using the .NET Exception Management Application Block (EMAB). As part of this I am implementing IExceptionPublisher classes. However, I am wondering what happens if these publishers encounter an Exception. I had a bit of a look around and apparently they are meant to do something like this: try { /* Normal Exception Publishing */ } catch { ExceptionManager.PublishInternalException(exception, additionalInfo); } Source: One caveat: what happens if there is an exception in our custom publisher code, preventing the publishing to MSMQ? For that, we turn to the ExceptionManager.PublishInternalException method, which will publish the exception to the default publisher, which is the Windows application event log. However, PublishInternalException is both protected and internal so I would have to be implementing ExceptionManager, not IExceptionPublisher, to access it.

• Android compatibility with Restlet/JSON/Jackson

  Hi there, I'm currently working on a webservice-client for Android. I'm using a Java client library which provides an abstraction for interaction with the service. The client library works on normal machines. However, when I use the classes in my Android project, some calls don't return a result on Android, the background-service stops working at the first of those commands. Wireshark shows a tcp exchange, the server gets the requests. There is no exceptions or anything. Something in the serialization/deserialization semms not to work. I'm using the newest version of Jackson libraries (1.5.3) and the restlet jar in the android edition. Is there any known problems with Jackson and Android? Which code and libraries are compatible with Android? Thanks in advance.

• Elasticsearch Shard stuck in INITIALIZING state

  I stopped one of my elastic search node & as a normal behavior elastic search started relocating my shard on that node to another node. But even after 15 hours it is still stuck in INITIALIZING state. Also that shard is fluctuating between two nodes,for some time it stays on one node then automatically shift to another node & keep on doing that after every few hours. Main issue is it is still in INITIALIZING state after so many hours. I am using version 1.2.1. This shard which is stuck, it is a replica. • Searching a large list of words in another large list

  I have a list of 1,000,000 strings with a maximum length of 256 with protein names. Every string has an associated ID. I have another list of 4,000,000,000 strings with a maximum length of 256 with words out of articles and every word has an ID. I want to find all matches between the list of protein names and the list of words of the articles. Which algorithm should I use? Should I use some prebuild API? It would be good if the algorithm runs on a normal PC without special hardware.

• Unclickable NSWindow?

  I have an NSWindow in a Cocoa application with a fullscreen OpenGL context running above it. The NSWindow (is loaded from the default nib). It contains some buttons, but when I try to click them they do not press down as a normal aqua button does. I think this could have something to do with the first responder, but i'm not 100% sure. I can move the NSWindow around by it's title bar, but nothing inside it is clickable, nor are there any changes on rollover of the close and minimise buttons. How do I make my NSWindow (and the objects inside it) 'clickable'?

• jquery error() calls showing up in firebug profile

  I am working on an ASP.NET application that make a lot of jquery and javascript calls and trying to optimize the client side code as much as possible. (This web application is only designed to run on special hardware that has very low memory and processing power.) The profiler in firebug is great for figuring out what calls are taking up the most time. I have already optimized a lot of my selectors and it is much faster. However the profile shows a lot of jquery error() calls. In the attached image of the firebug profile window you can see it was called 52 times, accounting for 15.4 of the processing time. Is that normal for jquery to call its error() like that? My code works flawlessy, and there are no error messages in the firefox error console. It seems like that is a significant performance hit. Is there anyway to get more info on what the errors are? Thanks.

• How to render Asian characters in a PDF using xhtmlrenderer

  I was wondering what steps were needed to render Asian characters using the java based xhtmlrenderer (flying saucer) library? I am wanting to render the following: <html> <body>????????</body> </html> Without any font settings being added to the HTML this renders fine in normal browsers, but I can't find anyway to render this to PDF using the iTextRenderer portion of xhtmlrenderer. After following various threads on the mailing list, I see lots of posts talking about adding .TTF files from the c:\windows\fonts directory, and I have modified the examples to run on linux ( https://gist.github.com/643173745182c9becc57 ), which shows me various fonts being displayed, but I don't see any Asian glyffs. Does anyone have any decent pointers, or clean solutions to this problem? Or am I looking at the wrong problem with a really simple solution elsewhere?

  I am trying to add a service reference to axapta 2009. All is working well, its a simple web method(external webservice) that gets executed on the server tier(necessary, otherwise clr interop error) But I've ran into the following problems : is it possible to close the proxy one way or another? Because this option is not available in the generated service object in AX (only the webmethods and a tostring). at a certain moment, i ran into a service with faulted state. Normally, you create the service object again, but this didnt solve anything, until i restarted the AOS. Is this normal behaviour? Is the service object cached or something like that on server side? Thx in advance.

Any ideas? The python version error might be red herring - I've seen it in a couple of places in the log files and in other scenarios it doesn't appear to be breaking anything...

• All GIT Repos Corrupted on System Restore

  I restored my OSX today by copying the system over from a backup. Most things seem to be working, but every single GIT repo gives pretty much the same error fatal: object 03b45161eb27228914e690e032ca8009358e9588 is corrupted I have tried chowning, doing everything as sudo or root... I have no idea what to try next. This would be a normal git question except that it's on many repos. Ideas? Note: I'm using git 1.7.0.3 and I was probably using 1.7.0 before.

• SWIG: Python list to uint32_t *?

  I'm trying to work with a Python module that was generated by SWIG. There's a C++ class defined that works like this (simplified): namespace Foo { class Thing { public: Thing(); ~Thing(); bool DoSomething(uint32_t x, uint32_t y, uint32_t z, uint32_t *buffer); }; }; When I try to call it from Python, I get an error about the last argument needing to be of type 'uint32_t*'. Normal Python integers work just fine for the other arguments, so I can't understand why a list of ints wouldn't work for the buffer. Any suggestions?

• ActiveReports Conditional Formatting - Picture Visibility

  In ActiveReports, how can I change formatting based on values in the report data? Specifically, I want to show or hide pictures based on a value in the data. The report gets bound to a list of objects via a set to its DataSource property. These objects have a Condition property with values "Poor", "Normal", etc. I have some pictures in the report that correspond to the different conditions, and I want to hide all the pictures except for the one corresponding to the value. Should I subscribe to the Format event for the detail section? If so, how do I get to the "current record" data?
