I cannot find any documentation to convert the transmitted string to a Public key that can be used to encrypt Strings. I also want the J2me to verify signed strings from the server. I want to then send the encrypted strings back to the server.

  I want to write a function that will include an external file, much like Server.Execute, but will pass along parameters. I'm aware that Server.Execute will pass along query parameters, but I'd like to pass data more generally. For instance: ' main.asp MyInclude("external.inc", Array("mykey", "myval")) ' external.inc Response.Write mykey I doubt I can get quite that far without reading the external fine, twiddling it, and executing, but I'd like to get as close as reasonably possible. Also, if possible, I'd prefer avoiding using the query passing option for security reasons.

• WCF (REST) multiple host headers with one endpoint

  I have an issue with a WCF REST service (.NET 4) which has multiple host headers, but one end point. The host headers are for example: xxx.yyy.net xxx.yyy.com Both host headers are configured in IIS over HTTPS and redirect to the same WCF service endpoint. I have an Error Handling behavior which logs some extra information in case of an error. The problem is that the logging behavior only works for one of both URLs. When I first call the .net URL, the logging is only working for requests on the .net URL. When I first call the .com URL (after a Worker Process recycle), it’s only working on requests on the .com URL.   I know that, for security reasons, javascript can't read the contents of an iframe if it belongs to a different domain. This makes sense, given that the entire page could be an iframe with snooping scripts outside of the frame. The question is - are there equal limitations in the other direction? Can javascript within an iframe (from a different domain) read and manipulate the dom in its parent window? Thanks!

  In Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 there are new Events categorized under "Applications and Services Logs". There is also a subfolder called Microsoft which has tons of subfolders as well. Is there any way to collect these events through WMI? For the regular "Windows Logs" such as Application and Security, it is possible to use the Win32_NTLogEvent WMI class in the cimv2 namespace. However, this class does not provide access to the new Microsoft event logs. Any ideas?

  I try to perform calling of a javascript function from actionscript 3.0 thru ExternalInterface.call(). I've seen a lot of online examples where the method works perfectly. But all downloaded copies of the examples don't work. Flash player can't call javasript due to the swf-html container security problems. I've already tried to set allowScriptAccess value from "sameDomain" to "always". It haven't solved the problem.

• How do I prevent programmatically the "Program Compatibility Assistant" in Vista (and Windows 7) fro

  I develop a C++ program which might use adobe flash, although it is not essential. I use CoCreateInstance to create the flash object, and if it fails, I know flash is not installed so I don't use it. However, in Vista (and I think Windows 7 as well), when flash is not installed, after leaving the application, the "Program Compatibility Assistant" pops up a message saying that "This program requires a missing Windows component" specifying the flash.ocx. Is there a way to prevent this message from appearing? I don't want to force any user to install flash (especially since it's the IE ActiveX, and FireFox users might not have it installed), and my application can operate well without the flash. Plus this message is really annoying when it appears after every run. I don't mean of course disabling the PCA on the user's machine, but programmatically disable this specific appearance on all machines. Any thoughts?   I am trying to download a page using Silverlight 4 (http://google.com/) from a different domain than where the app is hosted. I'm simply curious if this is possible in the browser. I know I can do it out of the browser, as I tried it already, but trying it in the browser gives a security exception (understandable). I'd like to know if this can even be done, and if so, how? • Simple way to encode a string according to a password?

  Does Python have a built-in, simple way of encoding/decoding strings using a password? Something like this: >>> encode('John Doe', password = 'mypass') 'sjkl28cn2sx0' >>> decode('sjkl28cn2sx0', password = 'mypass') 'John Doe' I would like to use these encrypted strings as URL parameters. My goal is obfuscation, not strong security. I realize I could use a database table to store keys and values, but am trying to be minimalist.

• How to get more Feed items?

  How would I get the next page or more results for a feed? For example, when I go to Security Now feed page, there is no "next" link of any kind and the url parameter of "page=100" does nothing: http://leoville.tv/podcasts/sn.xml I get only 1 page of results of about 20 episodes. However my Google Reader can successfully retrieve episodes that are earlier than that.
