• Who decides what category the software in the Ubuntu Software Centre is filed under, and who can we report errors to?

  I noticed when browsing through the Ubuntu Software Centre that some programs seem to be placed in the wrong categories, for example Pinta, an image editor, appears under Developer Tools (instead of Graphics) in my list of installed programs. Is this a case of the developer incorrectly categorising their software when they uploaded it to the software centre, or does Canonical decided what goes where? And if we notice an obvious mistake who do we inform, the software developer or file a bug somehow?

  I am running ubunt 11.10 only on my computer. I had it off for a few months and wanted to see if it needed any updates. When I try to click on Update Manager, I get the following error message: Could not initialize the package information An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.   In this blog I will demonstrate how we can enable attachments in Oracle Form. The user ask is to capture a job description which will be along text. Oracle Apps has a feature called attachments, through some easy setup we can enable attachments in forms. We will be going to addresscustomer ask through this feature. Step 1 : Identify Form Name First thing you have to do is to identify the form to enable attachment. In this scenario form will be PERWSDJT ( Job form in HRMS ). Step 2 :  Identify Document Entity exists or not. If exists then do nothing otherwise create new. Step 3 : Create Document Categories. Here I will create a category Job Description with Default Data Type Long Text and Application Human Resources.Onceit is done I will assign this to Create Job form. Step: 3 Query Attachment Functions for PERWSDJT.
