    Hi all, I am curious about the security of PHP on an HTML webpage where PHP code is embedded (a webpage that would exist on the server as "webpage.php") or on a PHP script that may be referenced by an HTML page (that is, a PHP script that is not actually part of a webpage that exists on the server as "something.php" and is referenced by "webpage.html"). Getting to the point, let us say that if the source code of my PHP script is known by anyone it would be a very big problem. I know that when you view the source of a PHP page in a browser the PHP script is not shown, but what if the PHP server failed and the HTML still loaded (is this even possible), would a user be able to see the PHP script? To be more general, is there ANY possible way that a user could access the source of a PHP script from a web browser, and if so, how do I prevent it?

    Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to make a generic webservice method in java like this: @WebMethod public <T extends Foo> void testGeneric(T data){ However when I try to consume this with a Java client I get an error stating: [ERROR] Schema descriptor {http://####/}testGeneric in message part "parameters" is not defined and could not be bound to Java. I know it is possible to make a method that takes a parameter such as List and this generates correctly using JAX-WS. I don't mind if there is a solution that means I am tied to using only a particular technology. Thanks, Dan.

I have problems with the following bit of javascript/jquery code: this.droppable = function(){ $('.imageWindow .body .item').draggable(); $('.groupWindow .body .item').droppable({ accept: $(".imageWindow .body .item"), over: function(event, ui) { alert("this is valid!"); }, drop: function(){ alert('dropped'); } }); } As you maybe know it is not possible to pass the following in the accept option: $(".imageWindow .body .item") But what is possible ? I want to pass a "class path" as an accept option ! It is probably a simple answer but i can't figure it out. Of course i could do: accept: ".item" But because "groupWindow .body .item" is a sortable it would also accept himself! Thanxs if you can help me!

    i've seem this post about extracting a zip without a temporary file via stream and pipes: Open a file from archive without temporary extraction The problem is that i'm using php and have no idea if that is possible. I've search a lot with no luck. My idea is to preview zip files from the dropbox using its API but i dont want to save the files to a local drive, just preview the content. Any idea if that's possible with php? Almost everything i found is about creating the file, not reading it... :-\ I was thinking that i might try with nodejs, but i know mostly nothing about nodejs, do you think it would support it? Any other idea please? thank you.

    Hi! I've developed a plug-in for Firefox, that can read and manipulate the content of the currently opened document. I would like to apply a XLST to the document in case it is XML. I have no problem to read the XML document and apply a XSLT to it in memory, however, I have no idea of how to replace the existing document with the newly created one. Thus, I see two possible scenarios: a) I replace the document with the result of the transformation b) I apply the XSLT directly to the XML All my attempts to realize one of both possible solutions have failed...   • How to limit SMTP delivery to hourly batches

    In an effort to keep us from being labeled spammers by major ISPs (in addition to SPF records, privacy policies, CANSPAM compliance and the like) - I wanted to limit the amount of mail we send out an hour. Is this possible in W2K3 SMTP server? I was looking at outbound connection properties in the SMTP virtual server config screens...It's just not that clear if tinkering with those settings are going to do what I want. In a nutshell, I'd love mail being sent by this server to queue up and send for example, 5,000 messages every 10 minutes or so. Is this possible?

    I have an old Access application that has a lot of code in forms and reports. The database is getting too large and I am thinking of moving the back end to SQL Server. My requirements are as follows: The DB needs to be multiuser and the users (3-5) will need to log in over the web I would prefer not to re-write the forms and reports in ASP or some other web front end. When I think about my choices, I see them as: Have an Access ADP front end and allows remote log-in to the server where it is stored. Not sure if it is possible for 2 users to simultaneously log in Distribute an ADP front end to the users, but I am not sure if it is possible to connect to a SQL Server back end over the internet, and the network traffic may be an issue. Any other solution? I appreciate all help. u

    Above is how my report looks, the part in yellow in hidden, and is only shown when the user clicks the + icon on the [name]. the result is basically the percentage difference from the Past [X] - [TERM] i.e there is a dropdown with, [weeks, months, days, hours] and a textbox of qty. so choosing qty = 4 and term = weeks will delivery a result set spread over 4 weeks based on the parent result sets date range and name ID I wish to populate here the number of rows, dependant on the value set by the user and the data will be from a dataset. Is it possible to dynamically add more sub rows ( like on row data bound ) if my first row is ID 123 [name], is it possible to send this value [123] to a dataset in order that all subrows are only relevant to the name with ID of 123? this is my first bash at SSRS so please no half cut answers, that just lead to more questions about the answer given :-) if this makes sense. Is there any way i can get the list or if thats not possible then is there any possible intent (e.g. PICK) by which i can allow the user to select a file and then access the path of the file the user selected??     Hi, I've managed this so far: [removed url] The plan is to have that video stretch across the whole page (the flash does, the video itself does not). Firstly: well aware of the issues - bad performance, horribly stretched/pixelated video. I know this. However a client wants it so we have to do it, simple as that. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be achieved? I've been in touch with the creators of the flash video player I'm currently using and they've confirmed it isn't possible with that flash video player. Anyone know of any players where it is possible? Thanks, Tim

    Take a commonly used binary hash function - for example, SHA-256. As the name implies, it outputs a 256 bit value. Let A be the set of all possible 256 bit binary values. A is extremely large, but finite. Let B be the set of all possible binary values. B is infinite. Let C be the set of values obtained by running SHA-256 on every member of B. Obviously this can't be done in practice, but I'm guessing we can still do mathematical analysis of it. My Question: By necessity, C ? A. But does C = A?

    Hi I don't know the correct words for what I'm trying to find out about and as such having a hard time googling. I want to know whether its possible with databases (technology independent but would be interested to hear whether its possible with Oracle, MySQL and Postgres) to point to specific rows instead of executing my query again. So I might initially execute a query find some rows of interest and then wish to avoid searching for them again by having a list of pointers or some other metadata which indicates the location on a database which I can go to straight away the next time I want those results. I realise there is caching on databases, but I want to keep these "pointers" else where and as such caching doesn't ultimately solve this problem. Is this just an index and I store the index and look up by this? most of my current tables don't have indexes and I don't want the speed decrease that sometimes comes with indexes. So whats the magic term I've been trying to put into google? Cheers

    Hi In my iphone app, I want to provide some sort of app termination handler that will do some final work (delete some sensitive data) before the application terminates. I want to handle as much of the termination situations as possible: 1) User terminates the app 2) The device runs out of battery 3) The system terminates the app due to some reason (e.g. out of memory or app freeze) 4) Application crashes (EXC_BAD_ACCESS or SIGSEGV) Any other exceptional situation ? What is the best way to achieve this (e.g. is applicationWillTerminate method called in situation 2) ? Is it possible to do the cleanup in a signal handler (includes iPhone Security framework calls) ? regards

  • How do I disable maven build when using Maven 2.0 integration for eclipse?

    How do I stop the "Maven 2.0 integration" plugin from running maven build, while keeping "build automatically" checked? I'm pretty sure it used to be some check box to disable maven build before, but after upgrading Ubuntu; eclipse seems to have been updated in the process, and now I cannot find any way to turn off the maven build. The maven build takes literally minutes (about 5 minutes or so), while just running java build used to finish in seconds. Is it no longer possible to disable it or have they just hidden it well? If it's not possible, will eclipse be able to compile my maven project without the plugin? (Trying to google for a solution the closes I got to an answer was several archives of this old post where the answer essentially were "You should be able to disable Maven builder in project preferences..." which doesn't really help because I cannot find any on/off settings there)
